RAPID CITY -- Aberdeen Christian swept Arlington to win its first-ever Class B state volleyball tournament match on Friday. The set scores were 28-26, 25-22 and 26-24.

Hanna Miller recorded 13 kills and nine kills for the Knights, who are playing in their first state volleyball tourney in program history. Mallory Miller logged nine kills, while Mary Fites finished with eight kills and 16 digs. Kaylee Block logged 33 assists and 19 digs. Joy Rohrbach had 29 digs. 

Arlington’s Hadley Carlson recorded five aces, 22 kills and 23 digs. Grace Parry posted 32 assists and 13 digs. Morgan Larsen and Harley Johnson had 15 and 13 digs, respectively. 

Chester Area 3, Burke 0

RAPID CITY -- Chester Area swept Burke in straight sets in a Friday Class B volleyball action. The set scores were 25-18, 25-14 and 25-15.

Chester Area’s Addison Bates and Breckyn Ewoldt had 10 kills apiece, while Ewoldt had five digs and two aces. Jayda Kenyon added nine kills and Lily VanHal logged 23 assists and eight digs. Carly Becker dished out 12 assists and had seven digs. Jacy Wolf posted 11 digs and Kaylor Geraets had nine digs. 

Burke’s Adisyn Indahl finished with eight kills, 26 digs and five aces. Paige Bull recorded four kills. Ava Sargent added nine assists and five digs. Elle Johnson posted 14 digs.
