Chester 3, Bennett County 0 

RAPID CITY — Chester swept Bennett County to advance to the Class B state championship Friday night. The set scores were 25-18, 25-15 and 25-16.

Chester’s Lily Van half had 16 assists, 15 kills, seven digs and a block, Jacy Wolf added 14 assists, 11 digs and 11 kills, Katelyn Schut had seven kills, Emmerson Eppard tallied six digs, four kills and four digs, while Elise Van Hal tallied four kills in the win.

For BC, Peyson O’Neill had 12 kills and five digs, Reagan O’Neill netted 10 kills, five digs and two blocks, Macy Claussen had 17 assists with three digs and two kills, Jade O’Neill had four digs and four assists while Olivia McMillan led the team in digs with 11 in the loss.


Parkston 3, Herreid/Selby Area 0

RAPID CITY — Parkston swept Herreid/Selby Area in Friday consolation semifinal action at the Class B state volleyball tournament. 

Parkston’s Keeara Oakley totaled 17 kills and 15 digs. Berkley Ziebart added 11 kills and 12 digs. Finley Bogenreif recorded 27 assists and 14 digs. Addison Koehn had a team-high 22 digs. 

For HSA, Jordyn Rossow totaled 15 kills and 12 digs. Breanna Jochim finished with five kills and 13 digs. Alyssa Kaup posted 17 digs. Katie Allbee recorded 20 assists and 14 digs.


Gayville-Volin 3, Harding County 1

RAPID CITY — Gayville-Volin took down Harding County in four sets during Friday’s Class B consolation semifinals. The set scores were 25-11, 16-25, 25-14 and 25-14.

GV’s Maia Achen tallied 12 kills, 11 digs and two blocks, Paisley Dimmer had 13 digs, 12 kills and three aces, Kendra Beeck dished out 34 assists with 11 digs and two aces, Aliza Westrum had 10 kills, seven digs and two blocks while Jolie Westrum totaled 16 digs, five aces and four kills in the win.

HC’s Macey Wendt had 10 kills and 10 digs, Kamry Padden added 11 assists, seven kills and seven digs, Mya Glines dished out 14 assists with six digs and two kills, while Lexy Rolph had 11 digs and two aces in the loss.


Warner 3, Northwestern 2

RAPID CITY — Warner edged Lake Region Conference rival Northwestern in the Class B semifinals on Friday. The set scores were 25-16, 18-25, 25-17, 25-27 and 15-13.

Warner’s Jaycee Jung totaled 25 kills and 22 digs. Kaydee Mackner and MaKenna Leidholt recorded 11 kills apiece. Keira Steger posted 26 digs. Tatum Hanson posted 28 assists and 13 digs. Miah Leidholt had six blocks. 

Northwestern’s Ashley Haven posted five blocks, 12 kills and 23 digs. Breelyn Satter, Ella Boekelheide and Lila Johnson posted nine kills apiece. Boekelheide added 35 assists and 15 digs. Johnson posted 32 digs.
