HURON — Payton Delange’s shot with 0.7 seconds sent Corsica-Stickney to Friday’s semifinals of the Class B girls basketball tournament with a 47-45 win over Herreid/Selby Area.

Delange’s clutch shot came after the Wolverines’ Lauren Grage tied it at 45-45 with a 3-pointer with 19 seconds left.

Grage ended the night with 13 points while teammates Rylee Rossow and Rachel Fiedler led Herreid/Selby Area with 14 points.

Meanwhile Raven Barse led Corsica Stickney with 10 points and Delange ended the night with six points.

The No. 3 seed Jaguars led 28-16 at halftime and 39-33 at the end of the third quarter before the Wolverines outscored the Jaguars 12-8 in the final quarter to narrow the gap.

Corsica-Stickney (22-2) will play the No. 2 seed White River after the Tigers defeated Viborg/Hurley 65-53.

Caelyn Valandra-Prue led White River with 31 points while Maleighya Estes added 15 points and Nicole Yackley had 12 points.

Nevaeh Ronke led the Cougars with 14 points; Coral Mason added 13 points and Denae Mach had 12 points.
