Deubrook Area 53, De Smet 23

WHITE — Class B No. 8 Deubrook Area coasted past De Smet for a Friday girls basketball win.

Deubrook Area’s Kylee Johnson finished with 17 points, while Matte Bauman added eight points. Neely Gustad and Mataya Gouws scored seven points apiece.

For De Smet, Audi Currier scored nine points. 


Lennox 48, Sioux Falls Christian 34

LENNOX — Class A No. 9 Lennox defeated Class A No. 1 Sioux Falls Christian in Friday girls basketball action.

Lennox’s Bergan Musser finished with 17 points. Karlie Bosma had 10 points, while Tori Gerdes added seven points and seven rebounds. 

For Sioux Falls Christian, Aubrie Van Beek, Makinli Reitsma and Emory Lems scored six points apiece. 


Lemmon 70, Timber Lake 32

TIMBER LAKE — Four players scored in double figures to power Lemmon to a Friday girls basketball win.

Lemmon’s Jordyn Kohn paced the win with 20 points and eight assists. Madison Dauwen added 17 points. Izzie O’Donnell had 14 points and five steals. Brynn Odenbach had 10 points. Kate Schiley grabbed 12 rebounds. 

For Timber Lake, Kylie Lawrence scored eight points. Madalyn Hermes and Kate Biegler scored six points apiece. Biegler grabbed six rebounds. Ruby Maher had five steals. 


Deuel 41, Florence-Henry 34

CLEAR LAKE — Deuel’s Camdyn Peterreins dropped a 20-point double-double to beat Florence-Henry in girls basketball action Friday.

Peterreins had 20 points, 15 rebounds and seven blocks in the win, Sophie Trupe and Morgan Theisen each had five points, including five rebounds from Theisen, while Gaclyn Nielsen totaled six points and six boards in the win.

FH’s Ashlynn Vavruska had 16 points, five rebounds and three steals, Mylee Sumner tallied seven points, seven rebounds and eight steals while Addison Byer totaled six points, three rebounds and three steals in the loss.


Ethan 60, Hanson 29

ALEXANDRIA — Taziah Hawkins and Rachel Klock combined for 39 points to power Class B No. 7 Ethan to a Friday girls basketball win.

Hawkins finished with 20 points, while Klock added 19 points and eight rebounds. Marissa Storm added six points, five assists and four steals. 

For Hanson, Rylee Furgeson recorded eight points. Ava Doyle totaled five points and five rebounds. Lacey Easton had eight rebounds. 


North Central 56, Sully Buttes 31

ONIDA — Three players scored in double figures to power North Central to a Friday boys basketball win.

Amree VanderVorst totaled 23 points and Ella Battie scored 15 points. Alaina Dosch added 11 points. 

For Sully Buttes, Jaydn Jaeger had 12 points. Ellie Nelson and Ally Buhler scored six points apiece. 


Centerville 56, Canistota 23

CENTERVILLE — Brea Austin and Izzie Eide scored 14 points apiece to power Class B No. 3 Centerville to a Friday girls basketball win.

Austin totaled 14 points, five assists and four steals. Eide added 14 points, 10 rebounds and six steals. Ella Ruter and Ashlyn Hagena had six points apiece. Hagena had five rebounds. Tessa Eide added five points.

For Canistota, Ellie Becker scored seven points and Roo Acheson had six points.


Warner 32, Northwestern 29

MELLETTE — Warner clipped Northwestern in girls basketball action Friday night.

MaKenna Leidholt had 12 points, Tatum Hanson recorded six points while Miah Leidholt totaled four points.

Northwestern’s Sophia Troske and Tara Blachford each had seven points while Ashley Haven and Breelyn Satter each had five points in the loss.


Waubay-Summit 52, Castlewood 50 (OT)

SUMMIT — Waubay-Summit’s Addison Heinje scored 22 points as the Mustangs hung on to beat Castlewood in overtime in girls basketball action Friday.

Heinje finished with 22 points to lead WS, Brynlee Amdahl had 11 points, Liza Purdy collected eight points while Caley Bolk had seven points in the win.

For Castlewood, Sophia Kudrna led with 20 points, Claire Horn added 10 points, Kendra Nielsen tallied six points while Ava Ruml had five points in the loss.


Freeman 53, Viborg-Hurley 20

HURLEY — Class B No. 10 Freeman pulled past Viborg-Hurley for a Friday girls basketball win.

Freeman’s Cadence Hofer finished with 18 points and seven rebounds. Rylee Peters totaled 16 points, seven rebounds and four steals. Vaida Ammann had nine points. Estelle Waltner totaled four points, six steals and seven rebounds.

For VH, Tatum Lyons recorded nine points and four rebounds. Tatum Hauger grabbed eight rebounds and blocked four shots. 


Hamlin 46, Groton Area 21

GROTON — Class A No. 3 Hamlin coasted past Groton Area in Friday girls basketball action. 

Hamlin’s Issie Steffensen scored 18 points and hit three 3-pointers. Addie Neuendorf posted 12 points. Paxton Neuendorf totaled seven points.

For Groton Area, Jaedyn Penning had 12 points and nine seven rebounds. Rylee Dunker added six rebounds and three points.


Great Plains Lutheran 59, Michigan Lutheran 25

MILWAUKEE — Great Plains Lutheran defeated Michigan Lutheran during Friday’s high school basketball action.

GPL’s Kate Holmen led with 16 points and eight rebounds, Julia Prahl had 12 points and three boards with four assists, Katherine Prahl collected 11 points, five rebounds, four assists and four steals while Emily Moritz and Peyton Czerwan each had six points in the win.


Sioux Falls Washington 57, Sioux Falls Lincoln 12 

SIOUX FALLS — Class AA No. 3 Sioux Falls Washington coasted past Sioux Falls Lincoln in girls basketball on Friday.

Washington’s Dana Harpe finished with 23 points and six rebounds. Josie Biteler added 13 points and four assists. Rylan Kennett and Jersey Peterson had five rebounds apiece.

For Lincoln, Sydney Krempges totaled six points and six rebounds.
