Garretson 74, Chester 65

CHESTER — Garretson defeated Chester in high school boys basketball action Saturday.

Garretson’s Jackson Arend led the Blue Dragons with 20 points, Carter Siemonsma tallied 18 points while Cohen Bucholz had 19 points in the win.

Chester’s Teegan Hodne had 20 points and four assists, Jaxton Opdahl totaled 14 points and six rebounds while JD Prorok added 11 boards and eight assists in the loss.


Rapid City Central 63, Pierre 60

RAPID CITY — Julius Duran and Preston Yellow combined for 43 points as Rapid City Central defeated Pierre in high school boys basketball action Saturday.

Duran led the team with 23 points, seven rebounds and two steals, Yellow added 20 points and three steals, Sean Smith collected 12 points, five boards and two steals while Owen Bissonette tallied five points in the win.

For Pierre, Lincoln Dilges tallied 18 points, Caiden Ahartz had 11 points and four rebounds, Corde Austin had nine points, eight rebounds and three steals, Jerren Deal had nine points and four rebounds. Cooper Terwilliger scored six points while Logan Witte had five points in the loss.


Cheyenne-Eagle Butte 54, Miller 52 

MILLER — Cheyenne-Eagle Butte clipped Miller in Saturday boys basketball action. 

CEB’s Nehemiah Veaux finished with 13 points, while Nicholas Woods II and Damien Clown scored nine points apiece. Austin Johnson scored seven points and Levi Elk Nation had six points.

For Miller, Will Resel scored 23 points and Isaak Hunter added 21 points.


Milbank 74, Dell Rapids 72 (2OT)

MILBANK — Milbank clipped Dell Rapids in a double overtime marathon in boys basketball action Saturday.

Lincoln Holscher led the Bulldogs with 20 points, nine rebounds and two steals, Jeter Scoular had 14 points, four rebounds and two assists, Emmett Snaza added 12 points and seven rebounds, Sam Rick had eight points and five boards, Ryan Keeton tallied eight points, seven rebounds and two assists while Layten Osowski recorded eight points and five boards in the win.

For Dell Rapids, Karson Paye had 22 points, three rebounds and three steals, Camden Jones recorded 15 points and nine rebounds, Jackson Peppel had 14 points and six boards, Jace Brende recorded seven points and four rebounds while Lincoln Anderson added six points in the loss.


Leola/Frederick Area 63, Langford Area 32

FREDERICK — Leola/Frederick Area coasted past Langford Area for a Saturday boys basketball win.

LFA’s Westyn Thorpe and Winston Clark scored 14 points apiece. Milo Sumption scored nine points and Erik Losure had eight points. Titus Kippley scored five points.

For Langford Area, Kassen Kough scored 15 points. Conner Glines had six points and Case Reints added five points. 


Madison 62, Elk Point-Jefferson 40

MADISON — Four players scored in double figures as Madison defeated Elk Point-Jefferson in boys basketball action Saturday.

Shane Veenhof led all scorers for the Bulldogs with 15 points, five assists and four steals, Casyn Crabtree added 13 points and three rebounds, Nolan Nielsen recorded 12 points, 10 boards and four blocks, Henry Veenhof had 11 points, four rebounds and three steals while Brody Cummins brought down five boards in the win.

EPJ’s Aiden Hammitt had 15 points, three rebounds and four steals, Anthony Tatro tallied 10 points and three boards, Luke Schmitz had six points, seven rebounds, three steals and two assists while Jack Hayes tallied five points in the loss.


Sanborn Central-Woonsocket 72, Sunshine Bible Academy 27

MILLER — Grant Edwards, Sam Baruth and McCoy Schultz combined for 45 points as Sanborn Central-Woonsocket defeated Sunshine Bible Academy Saturday in boys basketball action.

Edwards led the charge with 20 points and four steals, Baruth added 13 points, eight rebounds, two assists and two steals, Schultz tallied 12 points and nine boards, Landon Jensen had seven points, three rebounds and two steals while Eli White, Carter Edwards and Will Simmonds each had five points in the win.

For SBA, Henrik Wipf had 11 points and three steals, Isaac Hauge added six points while Avery Hall and Toby Mickelson each had three points in the loss.


Thunder Basin (Wyo.) 71, Pine Ridge 47 

GILLETTE, Wyo. — Pine Ridge lost to Thunder Basin (Wyo.) on the final day of the Remax Invitational on Saturday. 

Pine Ridge’s Marvin Richard III finished with 25 points.

 

Rapid City Christian 61, Douglas 34

RAPID CITY — Class A No. 9 Rapid City Christian defeated Douglas in boys basketball action Saturday.

RCC’s Henry Koppmann tallied 17 points to lead the Comets, Peyton Glenn netted 15 points, Joaquin Petrik had 11 points while Sully Kieffer collected six points in the win.

For Douglas, Lane Paulsen had 11 points, Jared Hoki totaled nine points while Anthony Speicher netted five points in the loss.

 

Estelline-Hendricks 65, Sioux Falls Lutheran 46

HENDRICKS — Kyler Carlson totaled 22 points as Estelline-Hendricks defeated Sioux Falls Lutheran in boys basketball action Saturday.

Carlson collected 22 points and seven rebounds, Drayden Cokens had 14 points, Cade Hexem added 10 points while Kam Hauck netted nine points and four steals in the win.

For SFL, Sam Borg and Owen Gilster each had 14 points in the loss.
