Dupree 63, Crow Creek 52

RAPID CITY — Dupree outlasted Crow Creek for a girls basketball win at the Lakota Nation Invitational on Wednesday.

Dupree’s Rylin Rousseau led with 23 points and nine rebounds, while Daci Lends His Horse logged 13 points and six rebounds. Taylee Jewett tallied 10 points and 11 boards, while Chloe Dupree added nine points and five rebounds.

Crow Creek’s Kharmon Wells led with 17 points, while Ronessa Sazue had 16 points and six rebounds.


Lakota Tech 81, Marty 26

RAPID CITY — Four players scored in double figures as Lakota Tech raced past Marty for a girls basketball win at the Lakota Nation Invitational on Wednesday.

Lakota Tech was led by Tawney Rodriguez with 13 points and seven rebounds, while Mya Mills and Jodene Hunter each had 11 points. Hunter added three steals. Shayla Bravo tallied 10 points, while Melina Shangreaux added nine points and nine rebounds.

Marty was led by Rozario Zephier with 13 points, while Hawk Bair had eight points. Jayla Bruguier added five points and eight rebounds. 


Red Cloud 72, McLaughlin 36

RAPID CITY — Three players scored in double figures to push Red Cloud past McLaughlin for a girls basketball win at the Lakota Nation Invitational on Wednesday.

Red Cloud was led by Ashlan Blount with 21 points, 11 steals, six rebounds, and five assists. Jewelia LeBeau and Lolo Carlow each had 11 points, while Abigail Haas had eight points. Maikole Carlow added six points and six boards.

McLaughlin’s Mari Jo Richards led with nine points, while Anaya Mellette tallied eight points. Raeg Yellow Earrings and Holly Miller added seven and six points, respectively.


Rapid City Christian 73, St. Francis 25

RAPID CITY — Rapid City Christian pulled away from St. Francis for a girls basketball win at the Lakota Nation Invitational on Wednesday.

Rapid City Christian was led by Savannah Armendariz with 13 points, while Brynn Casey tallied 12 points. Hayden Thorton had eight points, while Olivia Kieffer and Millie Selfridge each had seven points. Armendariz, Thorton, and Kieffer each had four steals. Alexa Ham had six points and six rebounds, while Samantha Thomson added six points and five boards.

St. Francis was led by Sharl Kills In Sight with 11 points, while Leah Bad Hand had four points and six rebounds. Cante Anderson grabbed nine boards.


Custer 65, Pine Ridge 21

RAPID CITY — Custer cruised past Pine Ridge for a girls basketball win at the Lakota Nation Invitational on Wednesday.

White River 52, Lower Brule 36

RAPID CITY — Maleena Brave and Kamaria Krogman combined for 26 points to power White River to a win over Lower Brule at the Lakota Nation Invitational on Wednesday. 

Brave finished with 15 points, nine rebounds and four steals. Krogman added 11 points and five rebounds. LaQuita Baldock-Bottger finished with six points and four rebounds., while Chaela O’Leary had six points and three rebounds. Lilly Krogman finished with five points and four rebounds. 

Lower Brule’s Courtney Traversie finished with 12 points and 12 boards. Laci Middletent added seven points and 13 rebounds. Brilyn LaRoche tossed in seven points, while Alyssia Fire Cloud added six points and six rebounds. 


Little Wound 54, Cheyenne-Eagle Butte 34

RAPID CITY — Little Wound pulled away from Cheyenne-Eagle Butte for a girls basketball win at the Lakota Nation Invitational on Wednesday.

Little Wound’s Taiyah Pourier led with 15 points, while Lalanni Janis logged 12 points. Sheenah White and Angeliyah Big Boy each had nine points. Layla Janis added eight points.

Cheyenne-Eagle Butte’s Tiana Johnson had 11 points. 


Wall 69, Todd County 50

RAPID CITY — Wall picked up a girls basketball win over Todd County at the Lakota Nation Invitational on Wednesday.

Wall’s Rhea Tucker tallied 21 points, eight rebounds, and five steals, while Paige Kjerstad recorded 18 points and 12 rebounds. Alexis Stephan logged 15 points, while Skylie Wagner had eight points.

Todd County’s Lesleen Makes Room For Them had 15 points, while Julissa Shaw had 12 points. Skye Horse Looking and Pe’ta Brave each had 10 points, while Brave added six boards.
