Pine Ridge 44, Lower Brule 42

RAPID CITY — Pine Ridge clipped Lower Brule for a girls basketball win at the Lakota Nation Invitational on Thursday.

Pine Ridge’s Tristiana Brewer led with 12 points and seven rebounds, while Diane Long Visitor had 10 points. Timarie Looks Twice added eight points.

Lower Brule’s Courtney Traversie led with 12 points and 15 rebounds, while Brilyn LaRoche and Laci Middletent each had eight points. Alyssia Fire Cloud had seven points, while Tory Grassrope added 10 rebounds.

 



White River 46, Custer 44

RAPID CITY — Maleena Brave and Kamaria Krogman combined for 30 points to lift White River past Custer at the Lakota Nation Invitational on Thursday. 

Brave finished with 17 points and five boards. Krogman added 13 points and five boards. Riley Lunderman logged eight points and four rebounds. 

Custer’s Alice Sedlacek finished with 13 points and seven boards. Bailey Cass added 10 points and 10 rebounds. Allyson Cass and Allie Kelley recorded nine and seven rebounds, respectively. 

 



Lakota Tech 48, Wall 43

RAPID CITY — Lakota Tech outlasted Wall for a girls basketball win at the Lakota Nation Invitational on Thursday.

Lakota Tech’s Melina Shangreaux led with 22 points, nine rebounds, and three steals, while Tawney Rodriguez had five points and 11 rebounds. Shayla Bravo had five points, while Jodene Hunter added four assists.

Wall’s Paige Kjerstad led with 20 points and 14 rebounds, while Rhea Tucker had nine points and nine rebounds. Nora Dinger added seven points and eight steals.


Rapid City Christian 68, Little Wound 39

RAPID CITY — Olivia Kieffer logged a double-double to power Rapid City Christian past Little Wound at the Lakota Nation Invitational on Thursday.

Kieffer logged 27 points, 10 steals, five 3-pointers and four steals to pace the Comets. Alexa Ham added 15 points. Miley Johnson scored seven points, while Brynn Casey had five points. Savannah Armendariz had six rebounds, while Hayden Thorton had five rebounds and four points. 

Little Wound’s Angeliyah Big Boy finished with 13 points and four rebounds. Taiyah Pourier added 13 points. Lalanni Janis recorded seven points and 12 rebounds. 


Todd County 58, Marty 56

RAPID CITY — Todd County edged Marty for a girls basketball win at the Lakota Nation Invitational on Thursday.

Todd County’s Julissa Shaw recorded 24 points and seven rebounds, while Pe’ta Brave tallied 11 points, eight rebounds, and five steals. Ava Schmidt added eight points.

Marty’s Hawk Bair logged 29 points, while Jayla Bruguier had 13 points, eight rebounds, and six steals.


Omaha Nation, (Neb.) 80, Takini 17

RAPID CITY — Omaha Nation, Nebraska, cruised past Takini for a girls basketball win at the Lakota Nation Invitational on Thursday.

Omaha Nation was led by Mikkel Parker with 18 points, while Tylisha McCauley tallied 16 points. Latecia Contreras recorded 10 points, while Taylece McCauley added eight points and six rebounds. Kaelynne Wolfe grabbed seven boards.

Takini’s Halo Waloke and McKayla Kelley each had four points.


St. Francis 41, Cheyenne-Eagle Butte 34

RAPID CITY — St. Francis edged Cheyenne-Eagle Butte in girls basketball action at the Lakota Nation Invitational on Thursday. 

Sharl Kills In Sight finished with 18 points, while Cante Anderson added eight points and 10 rebounds. Leah Bad Hand had nine rebounds and three points, while Kady Campbell had six rebounds and four points. 

CEB’s KaiLoni Johnson recorded seven points, while Tiana Johnson had six points, nine rebounds and four assists. Alana LeBeau had five points, while JaiLynn Knife had eight rebounds. 


Tiospa Zina 50, Santee, (Neb.) 48

RAPID CITY — Tiospa Zina edged Santee, Neb. for a girls basketball win at the Lakota Nation Invitational on Thursday.

Tiospa Zina’s Kannadee Bissonette had 22 points and 18 rebounds,while Alexia Quinn had 10 points and 12 rebounds.

Santee’s Miley Pike had 12 points, while Paris Runnels, Malaya Starlin, and Daeonnah Henry each had eight points. Henry also grabbed six boards, while Wendy Archambeau added seven points.


Red Cloud 56, Dupree 34

RAPID CITY — Red Cloud pulled away from Dupree for a girls basketball win at the Lakota Nation Invitational on Thursday.

Red Cloud’s Lolo Carlow tallied 15 points, while Ashlan Carlow had 13 points. Anjah Lamont had eight points and nine rebounds, while Jewelia LeBeau had six points.

Dupree’s Taylee Jewett recorded 11 points, while Rylin Rousseau had nine points and 11 rebounds. Chloe Dupree added nine rebounds.


Crow Creek 53, McLaughlin 51

RAPID CITY — Crow Creek edged McLaughlin for a girls basketball win at the Lakota Nation Invitational on Thursday.

Crow Creek’s Kharmon Wells, Justine Dog Eagle, and Ronessa Sazue each had 15 points. Sazue also grabbed 11 boards.

McLaughlin’s Mari Jo Richards scored a game-high 22 points and 14 rebounds. Holly Miller and Anaya Mellette each had eight points. Kimim White Mountain and Mercedes Chase had nine and seven rebounds, respectively.


Tiospaye Topa 50, Crazy Horse 30

RAPID CITY — Tiospaye Topa used a 20-5 first half to pull away from Crazy Horse for a girls basketball win at the Lakota Nation Invitational on Thursday.

Tiospaye Topa’s Leilani Bowker scored 22 points and 14 rebounds, while Pamela Meeter tallied 10 points. Kaylynn Holy Bear had seven points,while Madison Jeffries grabbed nine rebounds.

Crazy Horse’s Necaeh O’Rourke finished with 10 points and six rebounds, while Amerikis Fisherman had eight points. Tahca Zephier had seven points and eight steals.


Oelrichs 47, Wakpala 44

RAPID CITY — Oelrichs edged Wakpala for a girls basketball win at the Lakota Nation Invitational on Thursday.
