Todd County 62, Crow Creek 58

RAPID CITY — Todd County edged Crow Creek for the Makosica bracket championship at the Lakota Nation Invitational on Saturday.

Todd County’s Lesleen Makes Room For Them finished with 25 points, while Julissa Shaw had 17 points and seven rebounds. Wimayanwin Neck and Skye Horse Looking each had six points.

Crow Creek’s Kharmon Wells erupted for 36 points, while Ronessa Sazue had nine points and eight rebounds.


Rapid City Christian 70, White River 49

RAPID CITY — Rapid City Christian raced past White River to earn third place in the Oceti Sakowin bracket at the Lakota Nation Invitational on Saturday.

RCC’s Olivia Kieffer erupted for 36 points and five steals, while Alexa Ham had 11 points and six rebounds, while Sadie Marshall and Brynn Casey had eight points apiece.

White River’s Maleena Brave scored 14 points, while Lily Krogman tallied 12 points and eight rebounds.


Pine Ridge 60, St. Francis 47

RAPID CITY — Pine Ridge earned a third place finish over St. Francis in the Makosica bracket at the Lakota Nation Invitational on Saturday.

Pine Ridge’s Millie Little tallied 22 points, six rebounds, and five steals, while Tristiana Brewer had 12 points and eight rebounds. Diane Long Visitor had nine points, while Angelina Runnels and Kylee Few Tails each had eight points. Runnels added seven steals.

St. Francis was led by Sharlee Kills In Sight with 23 points and six rebounds, while Cante Anderson had 11 points. Leah Bad Hand had seven points and 16 rebounds.


Lower Brule 62, McLaughlin 38

RAPID CITY — Lower Brule pulled away from McLaughlin for a fifth place finish in the Makosica bracket at the Lakota Nation Invitational on Saturday.

Lower Brule’s Brilyn LaRoche recorded 20 points, while Courtney Traversie had 13 points and 13 rebounds. Marlee Sazue had 12 points and 11 rebounds, while Alyssia Fire Cloud had 12 points and eight rebounds.

McLaughlin’s Raegin Yellow Earrings scored seven points, while Taylor Scares the Hawk and Mari Jo Richards each had six points. Richards also grabbed eight boards.


Cheyenne-Eagle Butte 41, Marty 38

RAPID CITY — Cheyenne-Eagle Butte edged Marty to earn a seventh place finish in the Makosica bracket at the Lakota Nation Invitational on Saturday.

CEB was led by Tiana Johnson with 17 points, while Alana LeBeau had eight points and seven rebounds. Arianna Anderson added six points and seven rebounds.

Marty was led by Jayla Bruguier tallied 15 points and 11 rebounds, while Hawk Bair had 14 points and five rebounds. Genesis Patterson added eight rebounds.


Santee (Neb.) 69, Wakpala 43

RAPID CITY — Santee pulled away from Wakpala for a fifth place finish in the He Sapa bracket at the Lakota Nation Invitational on Saturday.

Santee was led by Daeonnah Henry with 21 points and six rebounds, while Wendy Archambeau logged 16 points and six rebounds. Miley Pike had 11 points and nine rebounds, while Malaya Starlin had nine points, while Aleigha Wabasha added eight points and seven rebounds.

Wakpala’s Tylene Hawk Bear recorded 16 points, while Danica Demarrias had 12 points. Tyrianna Hawk Bear grabbed seven rebounds. 


Crazy Horse 50, Takini 36

RAPID CITY — Crazy Horse picked up a girls basketball win over Takini to earn a seventh place finish in the He Sapa bracket at the Lakota Nation Invitational on Saturday.

Crazy Horse was led by Tahca Zephier with 21 points, six rebounds, and six steals, while Necaeh O’Rourke had 13 points and eight rebounds. Laila Clarimont added 11 points.

Takini’s Jai’Enna Big Eagle had nine points and 12 rebounds, while Anessa One Skunk and Annaia Hayes each had six points.


Custer 54, Dupree 48

RAPID CITY — Custer held off Dupree for a fifth place finish in the Oceti Sakowin bracket at the Lakota Nation Invitational on Saturday.

Custer’s Allyson Cass recorded 24 points and six rebounds, while Alice Sedlacek tallied 10 points and six rebounds. Bailey Cass had eight points and 10 rebounds.

Dupree was led by Rylin Rousseau with 14 points, while Taylee Jewett had 13 points and seven rebounds. Daci Lends His Horse had nine points and six boards, while Chloe Dupree also had nine points. 


Wall 74, Little Wound 44

RAPID CITY — Wall pulled away from Little Wound for a seventh place finish in the Oceti Sakowin bracket at the Lakota Nation Invitational on Saturday.

Wall’s Paige Kjerstad logged 24 points and 14 rebounds, while Nora Dinger tallied 13 points and eight rebounds. April Schulz had 12 points and six rebounds, while Skylie Wagner had nine points and six boards.

Little Wound’s Taiyah Pourier tallied 12 points, while Lalanni Janis had 11 points and eight rebounds. 


Tiospa Zina 51, Omaha Nation (Neb.) 45

RAPID CITY — Tiospa Zina outlasted Omaha Nation to win the He Sapa bracket at the Lakota Nation Invitational on Saturday.

Tiospa Zina’s Alexia Quinn tallied 21 points and 11 rebounds, while Kennadee Bissonette had 18 points and 10 rebounds. . Maya Deutsch added six points.

Omaha Nation’s Desma Walker had 13 points, while Tylisha McCauley had eight points and eight rebounds. Mikkel Parker added seven points and eight rebounds.


Tiospaye Topa 28, Oelrichs 26

RAPID CITY — Tiospaye Topa edged Takini for a third place finish in the He Sapa bracket at the Lakota Nation Invitational on Saturday.

Tiospaye Topa’s Leilani Bowker had 18 points and 22 rebounds, while Kaylynn Holy Bear had five points and five rebounds.

Oelrichs was led by Tlea Rouillard and Amelia Her Many Horses each had eight points.
