Mahpiya Luta 61, Wall 59

RAPID CITY — Mahpiya Luta stunned Class B No. 5 Wall late to beat the Eagles in boys basketball action Friday.

Memphis Brewer led the Crusaders with 22 points and seven rebounds, Riley Brave had 10 points, Christian Jack added eight points, Julian Tonche collected seven points and five rebounds, Brayton Little had six points while Okte Spotted Eagle had five points in the win.

For Wall, Emmet Dinger had 17 points, Trevor Schulz added 13 points and five rebounds, Teelan Kjerstad had 12 points and five rebounds while Dawson Handcock collected 11 points in the loss.


Rapid City Christian 57, Dupree 33

RAPID CITY — Peyton Glenn powered Rapid City Christian to a Friday boys basketball win at the Lakota Nation Invitational. 

Glenn finished with 22 points, three rebounds and three 3-pointers. Joaquin Petrik totaled 12 points, five rebounds and four 3-pointers. Sully Kieffer had eight points and 10 rebounds. 

For Dupree, Cruz Kirkeland finished with eight points. Jayden Marshall and Tre White Wolf recorded six points apiece.


McLaughlin 53, Lakota Tech 43

RAPID CITY — Three players scored in double figures to pace McLaughlin to a Lakota Nation Invitational boys basketball win on Friday. 

McLaughlin’s Tyler Bull Head finished with 15 points, three rebounds and three 3-pointers. Caleb Oliveros added 14 points and four rebounds. John Eagle Jr., totaled 10 points and seven rebounds. Talan Brown Otter and Laity Brown Otter scored five points apiece.

For Lakota Tech, Rylan Cuny finished with 12 points. Jack Iron Cloud totaled 10 points and eight rebounds. Gerry Runnels added six points. 


Lower Brule 43, Crow Creek 39

RAPID CITY — Lower Brule held off Crow Creek in boys basketball action at Friday’s Lakota Nation Invitational.

LB’s Ben Middletent led with 11 points, three rebounds and three steals, Kristian Antelope added nine points while Bradley LaForge tallied six points in the win.

For CC, Justin St. John had 14 points and five rebounds, Ashton Comes Flying netted seven points and nine rebounds while Jevyuan Dion totaled five points and four boards in the loss.


Little Wound 75, Todd County 64

RAPID CITY — Riley Casey’s 38-point double-double lifted Little Wound over Todd County at Friday’s Lakota Nation Invitational.

Casey finished with 38 points, 15 rebounds and three steals for the Mustangs, Dylan Ferguson added 10 points, five boards and four steals, Tanner High Horse had nine points and three rebounds while Isnala Neiji White Bull collected eight points and six rebounds in the win.

For TC, Kendrik Easter had 27 points, eight rebounds and three assists, Oniya Whirlwind Soldier netted 25 points and three assists while Ciante Black Spotted Horse added eight points in the loss.


Cheyenne-Eagle Butte 55, Pine Ridge 43

RAPID CITY — Three players scored in double figures as Cheyenne-Eagle Butte defeated Pine Ridge in boys basketball action at Friday’s Lakota Nation Invitational.

Damien Clown had 20 points and four rebounds, Levi Elk Nation had 13 points and three rebounds, Kobe White added 12 points, five rebounds and three steals while Nehemiah Veaux added eight points and eight rebounds in the win.

For PR, Marvin Richard III had 23 points and four rebounds while Caleb Black Feather totaled five points in the loss.


White River 64, Custer 52

RAPID CITY — Three players scored in double figures to push White River over Custer in Friday’s Lakota Nation Invitational.

Bryson One Star led the Tigers with 22 points and 10 rebounds, Maddox Marshall had 16 points and two steals, Zayson Whipple collected 10 points while Jaxson Krogman and Mekhi Krogman each had seven points in the win.

For Custer, Regan Sorenson had 21 points and five rebounds while Brady Virtue totaled 12 points and six rebounds in the loss.


Omaha Nation (Neb.) 56, St. Francis Indian 35

RAPID CITY — A balanced scoring attack paced Omaha Nation (Neb.) over St. Francis Indian in boys basketball action Friday.

Akesha Startlin and Kane Sheridan each had 14 points, combining for 13 rebounds in the win, Dason Romo had 11 points and nine boards while Franklin Lasley added nine points in the win.

For SFI, Jeremony Donner Jr. tallied 16 points and five rebounds while Roger Roether III had eight points and 13 boards in the loss.


Crazy Horse 67, Tiospaye Topa 37

RAPID CITY — Terrell Ashley’s double-double powered Crazy Horse to a Lakota Nation Invitational over Tiospaye Topa Friday.

Ashley finished with 18 points, 10 steals and five assists, Ayden Janis-Dull Knife totaled 15 points, six rebounds and three steals, Jimmy Ten Fingers had 11 points and five boards, Truman Randall added eight points, five steals and three boards while Daelen Doyle tallied six points and nine rebounds in the loss.


Marty 56, Wakpala 47

RAPID CITY — Three players for Marty hit double figures in scoring to beat Wakpala in Friday’s  Lakota Nation Invitational.

Steven Peters III had 20 points, four rebounds and four steals, Tayshaun Brewer added 14 points and two steals, Tyson Cournoyer netted 12 points, three rebounds and three steals while Isiah Heart had six points in the win.

For Wakpala, Lawrence Gooden tallied 20 points and 14 boards, Bretten Wells had 11 points while Tavaughn Steele had eight points and five rebounds in the loss.


Takini 57, Santee 42

RAPID CITY — Takini took care of Santee in Friday’s boys basketball action.

Xavier Vance had 20 points and nine rebounds, Tyler Bear Stops had 12 points, five rebounds and three assists while Drayveus Yellow Owl, Noah Knife and Corey Dupris each had six points in the win.

For Santee, Ronald Good Teacher tallied 18 points, eight rebounds and two steals, Jake Staab added 12 points, 12 rebounds and six blocks while Andre Denney had eight points and seven rebounds in the loss.


Tiospa Zina 60, Oelrichs 22

RAPID CITY — Three players combined for 48 points as Tiospa Zina took down Oelrichs in Friday’s Lakota Nation Invitational Friday.

Ohitika Black Thunder led the Wambdi with 18 points, Isaac Rodlund had 17 points and four steals while Jeffery Heminger Jr. totaled 13 points, nine rebounds and seven steals in the win.

For Oelrichs, Jess Her Many Horses had nine points while Kaeton Bear Runner totaled eight points and three rebounds in the loss.
