Mount Vernon/Plankinton 64, Sanborn Central/Woonsocket 29

WOONSOCKET — Three players scored in double figures to pace Mount Vernon/Plankinton to a boys basketball win over Sanborn Central/Woonsocket on Tuesday.

Reed Rus led the Titans with 20 points, five assists, four rebounds and three steals. Zach Baker added 17 points, five rebounds and four steals. Jordan Stoltz finished with 15 points, six rebounds and four blocked shots. Trevor Sweet added five points.

Gayville-Volin 49, Centerville 42

CENTERVILLE — Gayville-Volin made nine free throws in the fourth quarter to pull away from Centerville in a boys basketball game on Tuesday.

Gayville-Volin’s Andrew Gustad led all scorers with 22 points, while Spencer Karstens scored 11 points.

Centerville was led by Owen Hunter with 12 points and three steals.


Wagner 69, Menno 31

MENNO — Wagner ran past Menno to win a boys basketball game on Tuesday.

Wagner’s Dustin Honomichl tallied a game-high 23 points, while Toby Zephier scored nine points. 

Menno’s Tyler Massey scored eight points and four rebounds. Blake Rames finished with eight points and seven rebounds.


Deubrook Area 59, Madison 55

MADISON — Three players reached double figures as Deubrook Area earned a road win over Madison in boys high school basketball on Tuesday. 

Nicholas Browne finished with 14 points and nine rebounds. Cooper Holmlund and Parker Crooks combined for 24 points and nine rebounds for the Dolphins. 

Aspen Dahl led Madison with 16 points, four rebounds and four steals. Aiden Jensen added 15 points and seven rebounds. 


Sioux Valley 77, Beresford 61

VOLGA — Class A No. 1 Sioux Valley used a 25-13 fourth quarter to secure a boys basketball win over Beresford on Tuesday. 

Oliver Vincent and Hayden Ruesink led the Cossacks with 23 points apiece. Vincent added eight assists and hit four 3-pointers. Ruesink had eight rebounds. Parker Puetz finished with 12 points, five assists, four rebounds and four 3-pointers. Dylan Milton had nine points. 

Beresford’s Andrew Atwood tossed in 23 points, nailed five 3-pointers and grabbed five rebounds. Tate VanOtterloo added 16 points and five rebounds. Ashton Tjaden scored eight points, hauled in five rebounds and handed out four assists. Isaiah Richards had seven rebounds and four points. Jake Goblirsch added six points. 


Oldham-Ramona/Rutland 68, Arlington 62

ARLINGTON — Three players reached double figures as Oldham-Ramona/Rutland earned a hard fought road win over Arlington. 

Will Matson led all scorers with 27 points, including five 3-pointers. Isaac Trygstad added 17 points while Orion Albertson added 12. 

Ryker Erstad paced Arlington with 26 points. Caden Letsche added 18 points while Blake Madsen added ten points. 


Sioux Falls Jefferson 63, Sioux Falls Lincoln 61

SIOUX FALLS — Sioux Falls Jefferson outscored Sioux Falls Lincoln 15-11 in the fourth quarter to secure a boys basketball victory on Tuesday. 

Kaden Year paced the Cavaliers with 23 points, four rebounds and three blocked shots. Griffin Wilde added 14 points and nine boards. Taylen Ashley tossed in 13 points. Beau Giblin and David Jones scored seven and five points, respectively. 

Lincoln’s Caleb Hiatt and Elliot Whitney scored 17 points apiece. Hiatt grabbed nine rebounds, while Whitney hauled in five boards. J.T. Rock added 12 points and eight rebounds. Khalil Cisse chipped in with eight points and six rebounds. 


Sioux Falls Washington 61, Huron 53

HURON — Sioux Falls Washington had three players in double figures as they picked up a boys basketball win over Huron on Tuesday.

The Warriors were led by Mikele Kambalo’s 20 points, while Zharic Sheppard recorded 11 points and Joe Uttecht had 10 points and four steals.

Reilyn Zavesky led Huron with 22 points and eight rebounds, and Max Kranzler recorded 14 points.


Flandreau 78, Castlewood 56

FLANDREAU — Tash Lunday and Chase LeBrun each recorded double-doubles to power Flandreau to a boys basketball win over Castlewood on Tuesday. 

Lunday finished with 35 points, 12 rebounds and eight assists. LeBrun added 25 points and 10 boards. 

Castlewood’s Lane Tvedt tossed in 17 points. Tristan Nielsen and Jackson Schofield scored 14 and 10 points, respectively. 


Aberdeen Roncalli 51, Northwestern 40

MELLETTE — Maddox Miller and Maddox May scored 15 points apiece to pace Aberdeen Roncalli to a boys basketball win over Northwestern on Tuesday. 

Northwestern’s Jude Ortmeier tossed in 18 points for the Wildcats. 


Aberdeen Christian 66, Britton-Hecla 38

ABERDEEN — Class B No. 2 Aberdeen Christian pulled away from Britton-Hecla in a boys basketball contest on Tuesday.

Malek Wieker led the Knights with 24 points, while Ethan Russell added 17 points and eight boards. 

Aidan Fredrickson finished with 14 points for Britton-Hecla. 


Chester Area 53, McCook Central/Montrose 44

CHESTER — Chester Area picked up a boys basketball win over McCook Central/Montrose on Tuesday.

Ashton Olivier led Chester Area with 15 points, while Stratton Eppard recorded 12 points and five assists.

Micah Van Ruler led McCook Central/Montrose with 14 points and 13 rebounds.


Faulkton Area 44, Wolsey-Wessington 36

WOLSEY — Faulkton Area held off Wolsey-Wessington for a boys basketball victory on Tuesday. 

Wolsey-Wessington’s Tate French finished with 10 points and 12 rebounds. Marrien Gohn scored eight points, while Blaze Herdman added six points. 

No stats were reported for Faulkton Area. 


Rapid City Central 59, Douglas 52

RAPID CITY — Shun-Zi White Woman had 23 points and eight rebounds to guide Rapid City Central to a boys basketball win over Douglas on Tuesday. 

Reno Lowe and Isaiah Whiting scored eight points apiece. Wyatt Anderson added six points. 

Douglas’ Connor Suavage finished with 23 points and four 3-pointers. Austin Campbell logged 13 points, while Landon Cast scored six points. Aven Stafford scored five points. 


Parkston 60, Parker 58 

PARKER — Cole Prunty and Max Scott combined for 40 points as Parkston edged Parker in boys basketball action on Tuesday. 

Prunty scored 22 points and nailed four 3-pointers. Scott added 18 points and eight rebounds. Will Jodozi scored seven points and Kaleb Weber scored five points. Brayden Jervik grabbed seven rebounds. 

Parker’s Carter Robertson scored 21 points and hit five 3-pointers. Davin Fuller finished with 19 points and seven rebounds. Jaivyn DeBoer logged eight points, four rebounds and three steals. Ray Travnicek scored six points and Landri Halzworth grabbed six rebounds.

Girls Basketball Scores

Mount Vernon/Plankinton 63, Sanborn Central/Woonsocket 43

WOONSOCKET — Emilee Fox tossed in 33 points to pace Mount Vernon/Plankinton to a girls basketball win over Sanborn Central/Woonsocket on Tuesday. 

Fox hit five 3-pointers and added four steals. Reagan Rus netted 10 points, while Maria Baker added nine points. Kyia Schmidt grabbed seven rebounds and Cally Faulhaber scored five points. 

SCW’s Liz Boschee scored 14 points and grabbed six rebounds. Trista White tossed in eight points and Trinity Boschee had seven points. Teya Moody scored five points.


Centerville 60, Gayville-Volin 40

CENTERVILLE — Lillie Eide and Thea Gust each scored in double figures to lead Centerville to a girls basketball victory over Gayville-Volin on Tuesday.

Eide and Gust each scored 19 points, while Mikayla Heesch finished with nine points.

Gayville-Volin’s Molly Larson finished with a game-high 22 points, seven rebounds, six assists, and four steals.


Wagner 60, Menno 16

MENNO – Ten players scored as Class A No. 4 Wagner girls earned a comfortable win over Menno in girls basketball action Tuesday. 

Eve Zephier and Macy Koupal each scored ten points. Emma Yost scored nine points while also hauling down nine rebounds Shalayne Nagel contributed four points, five assists and seven steals for Wagner. 

Paityn Huber led Menno with nine points. Bridget Vaith contributed four points and six rebounds.


McCook Central/Montrose 53, Chester Area 51

CHESTER — McCook Central/Montrose held off Chester Area for a girls basketball win on Tuesday. 

Abby Wagner finished with 21 points in the win.

Emery Larson led Chester Area with 18 points and seven rebounds. Emmerson Eppard and Kaylor Geraets scored nine points apiece.  


Sioux Falls Jefferson 51, Tea Area 43

SIOUX FALLS — Sioux Falls Jefferson picked up a girls basketball win over Tea Area on Tuesday.

Cierra Watkins led Sioux Falls Jefferson with 18 points. Taliyah Hayes scored 15 points, while Jaidyn Dunn recorded 11 rebounds.

Tea Area was led by Katie Vasecka, who recorded a double-double with 19 points and 11 rebounds.


Sioux Falls Washington 72, Huron 50

HURON — Two players scored in double figures for Class AA No. 1 Sioux Falls Washington as they picked up a girls basketball win over Huron on Tuesday.

Sioux Falls Washington’s Ndjakalenga Mwenentanda led all scorers with 21 points and six rebounds, while Brooklyn Harpe tallied 19 points.

Hamtyn Heinz led Huron with 11 points, while Adison Moore finished with eight points.


Rapid City Central 62, Douglas 39

RAPID CITY — Class AA No. 4 Rapid City Central built a 21-8 first quarter lead en route to a girls basketball win over Douglas on Tuesday.

Sadie Glade led the Cobblers with 18 points, while Josie Hill added 12 points. Aaliyah Jones recorded 11 points.

Angell Arredondo and Keana Walton scored 10 points apiece for Douglas.


Scotland 38, Burke 35

SCOTLAND — Scotland used a big second quarter to power past Burke in girls basketball action Tuesday night. 

Martina DeBoer led Scotland with nine points. Delanie VanDriel finished with eight points and five rebounds. Audrey Sayler recorded six points while snaring eight rebounds. 

Kailee Frank and Bridget Bartling each finished with nine points. Adisyn Indahl recorded eight points and eight rebounds. 


Waubay/Summit 65, Ipswich 46

IPSWICH — Waubay/Summit had three players in double figures as they defeated Ipswich in a girls basketball game on Tuesday.

The Mustangs were led by Zoey Wohlleber’s double-double of 24 points and 10 rebounds. Eva Benike recorded 15 points and eight rebounds, while Tasha Zirbel scored 13 points and four rebounds.

Ipswich was led by Katie Bierman, who finished with 20 points. 


Viborg-Hurley 53, Elk Point-Jefferson 41

ELK POINT — Coral Mason’s double-double led Viborg-Hurley to a girls basketball win over Elk Point-Jefferson on Tuesday.

Mason finished with 13 points, 10 rebounds, and four steals, while Denae Mach scored 14 points and Delana Mach added eight points and five boards.

Bentlee Kollbaum led Elk Point-Jefferson with 12 points and Ashley Brewer finished with 11 points.


Florence/Henry 61, Clark/Willow Lake 36

WILLOW LAKE — A big night from sophomore Caylin Kelly propelled Florence/Henry to a girls basketball win Tuesday. 

Kelly pumped in 20 points while adding 10 rebounds, eight assists, three steals and two blocked shots. Taylor Watson added 12 points and eight rebounds while Trinity Watson recorded 11 points. 

Alicia Vig led Clark/Willow Lake with 15 points.
