Pine Ridge 72, Omaha Nation 52

RAPID CITY — Three players scored in double figures to pace Pine Ridge to a Lakota Nation Invitational boys basketball win on Wednesday.

Marvin Richard III tossed in 18 points and collected five boards. Jaylin Rouillard had 12 points, all on 3-pointers. Domonic Ghost Bear had 10 points, while Xavier Little scored seven points and collected five rebounds. Christian Pulliam, Alex Bissonnette and Daniel Weston scored five points apiece. Anthony Steele dished out seven assists.

For Omaha Nation, Kristin Cayou scored 11 points. Daon Romo had nine points and Avander Parker added eight points. Herman Parker had seven points. Franklin Lasley and Jonny Walker scored five points. 


Rapid City Christian 88, Little Wound 45

RAPID CITY — Rapid City Christian used a balanced scoring attack to pick up a Lakota Nation Invitational boys basketball win on Wednesday.

Rapid City Christian’s Benson Kieffer scored 17 points and six assists, while Julius Frog scored 14 points. Simon Kieffer and Cayden Von Eye finished with 13 points apiece. Julius Duran had 11 points. Wes Schlabach scored nine points.

For Little Wound, Tatanka Catches Enemy scored 13 points. Cashus Hunter and Kinyan Catches Enemy posted 10 points apiece. Tristen Kills Small had nine points and 12 boards.

Lakota Tech 67, McLaughlin 39

RAPID CITY — Lakota Tech pulled away from McLaughlin for a Lakota Nation Invitational boys basketball win on Wednesday.

Gilbert White logged 22 points, six rebounds and five steals. Riley Casey logged 17 points and five boards. Michael Yankton added seven points. 

For McLaughlin, Raymin Yellow Earrings finished with nine points. Cassidy Demery, Xavier White Mountain and Alex Archambault logged eight points apiece. Demery had eight boards.

White River 59, Tiospa Zina 46

RAPID CITY — Class B No. 3 White River knocked off Tiospa Zina for a Lakota Nation Invitational boys basketball win on Wednesday

White River’s Nicolas Marshall logged 24 points, while Jordan Uhlir logged 12 points and six steals. Teagen Bouman had nine points. Evastine Wright had five points and eight boards. 

For Tiospa Zina, Jonny Rivers finished with 12 points and four rebounds. Tabawa’ni Peters had 10 points and six rebounds. Ashden Sierra logged 10 points. Calvin Fish posted nine points and nine rebounds. Nathan Thompson had five points. 


Lower Brule 74, Marty 65

RAPID CITY — Class B No. 5 Lower Brule held off Marty for a Lakota Nation Invitational boys basketball win on Wednesday

Lower Brule’s Quentin McBride Jr., finished with 25 points and four 3-pointers. Lane Gray added 22 points and four rebounds. Elliot LaRoche posted 17 points. Isaiah Felicia scored seven points.

For Marty, Greg Zephier finished with 17 points and six steals. Kris Meeter recorded 15 points and four steals. Todd LaPlante had 13 points. Tate Elk Soldier recorded nine points. Amaziah Zephier had five points. Terrill Rave had four points and seven rebounds. 


Custer 64, Wall 43

RAPID CITY — Custer pulled away from Wall for a Lakota Nation Invitational boys basketball win on Wednesday.

Custer’s Kyle Virtue logged 20 points and three steals. Rett Lowe had 11 points, seven rebounds and four steals. Cody Dirkes and Roland Sedlacek posted eight points apiece. Carter Boyster had seven points. Brady Virtue had six points and four steals. 

For Wall, Brodi Sundall had 18 points, five rebounds and three steals. Teelan Kjerstad added 11 points. Emmet Dinger scored six points. 


Red Cloud 63, Todd County 51

RAPID CITY — Red Cloud used a 25-14 third quarter to earn a Lakota Nation Invitational boys basketball win on Wednesday.

Red Cloud’s Jacoby Spotted Eagle finished with 15 points and seven rebounds. Braylon Little added 13 points and six boards. Monty Montileaux recorded 12 points, while Nick Zuniga added 11 points. Josh Anderson posted 10 points and nine boards.

For Todd County, Kendrik Easter scored 11 points and grabbed seven boards. Ty Valandra logged seven points and nine rebounds. Michael Rogers added seven points and four rebounds. Drake Espinoza had six points and five boards.


Wakpala 70, Tiospaye Topa 31

RAPID CITY — Lane Cadotte and Zachary Moran combined for 38 points to pace Wakpala to a Lakota Nation Invitational boys basketball win on Wednesday.

Moran finished with 23 points, five 3-pointers and four rebounds. Cadotte added 15 points, seven steals and six rebounds. Antoine Mellette logged eight points.

For Tiospaye Topa, Jakolby Rousseau recorded 10 points. Laken Traversie posted seven points, while Kaden Rousseau scored six points and seven rebounds. Bailee Hall grabbed six boards.


Cheyenne-Eagle Butte 78, Oelrichs 19

RAPID CITY — Cheyenne-Eagle Butte coasted past Oelrichs for a Lakota Nation Invitational boys basketball win on Wednesday. 

CEB’s Dayson Kennedy logged 11 points. Levi Elk Nation and Braxton Kennedy scored 10 points apiece. Damien Clown logged nine points and five steals. Austin Johnson scored seven points, while Ayden Uses Knife had six points. Nicholas Joaquin had five points.

For Oelrichs, Keenan Youngman had 10 points. 


Santee 106, Takini 31

RAPID CITY — Five players scored in double figures to pace Santee, Nebraska, to a Lakota Nation Invitational boys basketball win on Wednesday.

Kellen Medina logged 27 points, nine rebounds, eight steals and four assists. Justus Denney logged 21 points, seven steals and seven rebounds. Tasunka Starlin logged 18 points, seven rebounds and four steals. Bradley Strickland finished with 16 points and 10 boards. Christian Torrez had 11 points and six rebounds. Akesha Starlin had six points and three steals. 

For Takini, Logan Quilt had 10 points and five boards. Landon Dupris scored six points, while Xavier Condon and C.J. Pederson both had five points. 


Dupree 60, St. Francis 48

RAPID CITY — Dupree used a 21-9 fourth quarter to put away St. Francis for a Lakota Nation Invitational boys basketball win on Wednesday.

Dupree’s Elijah Brewer logged 24 points and four blocked shots. Jayden Marshall posted 15 points and six rebounds. Randen Eagle Chasing added six points and nine rebounds. 

For St. Francis, Ty Valandra recorded 15 points. Cante Kills In Water and Darin Arcoren Jr., posted 11 points apiece. John Gunhammer added six points. 


Crazy Horse 57, Crow Creek 49

RAPID CITY — Crazy Horse held off Crow Creek for a Lakota Nation Invitational boys basketball win on Wednesday.

Crazy Horse’s Devaughn Between Lodges recorded 23 points, five rebounds and three 3-pointers. Richard Pumpkin Seed had 12 points. Donnie Ghost Dog had six points and five rebounds. 

For Crow Creek, Kiron Thompson finished with 11 points. Mickael Bernard and Justin St. Johnson scored 10 points apiece. Lance Wind Jr., had four points and five points. Julius Grey Owl had four points and 14 rebounds.
