New Underwood 35, Dupree 28

NEW UNDERWOOD — New Underwood picked up a girls basketball win over Dupree on Saturday.

Jocelyn Fulton netted 18 points and Maranda Poor Bear scored 10 points. 

For Dupree, Jaeshawnia Iron Hawk had six points and Minda Woodward scored five points. 


Rapid City Christian 61, Douglas 22 

BOX ELDER — Rapid City Christian used a balanced-scoring attack to pick up a girls basketball victory on Saturday.

Rapid City Christian’s Nora Kieffer scored 13 points, while Sadie Marshall, Lydia Williams and Miley Johnson each scored eight points. Shaylie Griffith added seven points and Nia Selfridge scored six points. Brynn Casey scored five points.

For Douglas, Rylie LaJoie and Olivia Harris scored six points apiece. Ramzy Johnson had five points. 


Bennett County 53, Lakota Tech 51

PINE RIDGE — Thomiah Poor Bear hit two frees with two seconds left to propel Bennett County to a girls basketball win on Saturday.

Bennett County’s Reagan O’Neill finished with 15 points and Peyson O’Neill scored 11 points. Madi Waln had 12 points, all on 3-pointers. Harley Harris finished with 10 points and Poor Bear scored seven points. 

For Lakota Tech, Shania Ferguson tossed in a game-high 23 points. Angeliyah Big Boy finished with 17 points. Isabella Shangreaux recorded five points. 


Pierre 56, Rapid City Central 38

RAPID CITY — Emery Larson and Lennix DuPris paced Pierre to a girls basketball win on Saturday.

Larson finished with 19 points, while DuPris added 13 points and seven steals. Gracelyn Taylor had nine points and four steals. Grace Richter finished with five points.

For Rapid City Central, Chloe Shreve had nine points and nine rebounds. Leah Landry added eight points, five rebounds and five steals. Jo Pierce had seven points, while Maria Alvarez scored five points.


Mobridge-Pollock 69, Sisseton 57

MOBRIDGE — Blake Thompson and Tegan Konold powered the Mobridge-Pollock victory over Sisseton during Saturday’s high school girls basketball action.

Thompson tallied 23 points, Konold recorded 22 points, Brooke Bain had 10 points, while Faith Heil tallied nine points in the win.

Sisseton’s Krista Langager poured in 20 points, Elliot Hortness had 15 points, Alexia Quinn recorded 12 points, while Ruby Rice had six points in the loss.


Lyman 63, Potter County 38

GETTYSBURG — Four players scored in double figures to pace Class B No. 5 Lyman to a girls basketball win on Saturday.

Lyman’s Makaylee Scott finished with 22 points, 13 rebounds and four assists. Kenzie Wagner added 13 points and five rebounds. Brooke Palmer posted 13 points and eight rebounds. Bree Smart recorded 10 points and five assists. 

Potter County stats were not reported. 


Andes Central/Dakota Christian 59, Platte-Geddes 27

NEW HOLLAND — Mahpiya Irving and Josie Brouwer combined to score 40 points to pace Andes Central/Dakota Christian to a girls basketball win on Saturday.

Irving finished with 22 points and three assists. Brouwer added 18 points and five steals. Halle Olson had seven points and six steals. Gabbie Olson recorded six boards. 

For Platte-Geddes, Kori VanDerWerff had 13 points and four rebounds. Kalli Summerville posted nine points. 


Hitchcock-Tulare 39, Ipswich 25

IPSWICH — Hitchcock-Tulare used a 11-3 fourth-quarter margin to pick up a girls basketball win on Saturday.

Hitchcock-Tulare’s Rebecca Huizenga finished with 11 points, while Katelyn Schroeder had seven points and seven rebounds. Gracyn Bixler recorded seven points and six boards. Cambree Hoekman posted seven points and four rebounds. Isabel Gilbert added five points and five rebounds.

For Ipswich, Marley Guthmiller and Jalyssa Hutson scored eight points apiece. Guthmiller grabbed nine rebounds. Bri Geditz recorded six points.


McCook Central/Montrose 75, Parker 34

SALEM — Three players scored in double figures to pace McCook Central/Montrose to a Saturday girls basketball win.

Mya Morrison led the Cougars with 20 points. Ella DeKnikker recorded 14 points, while Cami McGuire scored 11 points. Ashtyn DeKnikker recorded nine points. Natalie Lueth had five points and six assists. Karlie Stiefvater and Brooke Heumiller scored five points apiece.

For Parker, Mallory Mitzner had 11 points. Jenna VanVelzen and Meah Wright scored eight points apiece. Wright added eight rebounds. Paige Haase added six points. Mya Beyer had eight rebounds. 


North Central 54, McIntosh 37

BOWDLE — Amree VanderVorst and Ella Batie powered North Central to a girls basketball win on Saturday.

VanderVorst scored a game-high 30 points, grabbed eight rebounds and added seven steals. Batie added 10 points and eight rebounds. Alaina Dosch scored six points, while Carleigh Dosch had five points. 

McIntosh stats were not reported.


Highmore-Harrold 33, Jones County 24

HIGHMORE — Highmore-Harrold defeated Jones County during high school girls basketball action Saturday.

HH's Jada Baloun tallied 11 points, Autumn Fallis recorded eight points, four assists and two steals, while Addison McDonnell had eight points and 10 rebounds in the win.

Jones County’s stats were not reported.


Harding County 64, Lead-Deadwood 19

LEAD — Bailey Verhulst had an efficient shooting performance as Harding County took down Lead-Deadwood during Saturday high school girls basketball action.

Verhulst poured in 21 points on 10-of-12 shooting, including three steals, Brayden Padden had 10 points, Kelsi Costello recorded nine points, Kamry Padden and Sattyn Wilson each had eight points, while Macey Wendt totaled six points in the win.

LD’s Emily Farmer recorded 11 points, Taylor Hansen tallied five points, while Delaney Mattson recorded three points in the loss.


Elk Point-Jefferson 67, Madison 16

ELK POINT — Elk Point-Jefferson took down Madison during Saturday’s high school girls basketball action.

Bentlee Kollbaum led the way with 15 points, Ashley Brewer had 11 points and six rebounds, Kaitlyn VanRoekel recorded 10 points, four rebounds and three assists, Cera Schmitz tallied six points, two rebounds and four assists, while Paige Jacobs had six points and three rebounds in the win.

Madison’s Jaya Engels had nine points and two rebounds, Madison Rummel recorded four points, while Grace Feige had three points in the loss.


Sanborn Central/Woonsocket 64, Sunshine Bible Academy 6

WOONSOCKET — Alexa Goertz scored her 1,000th career point as Sanborn Central/Woonsocket rolled to a girls basketball win on Saturday.

Goertz finished with 17 points and five rebounds. Liz Boschee and Kaylie Robinson scored 12 points apiece. Boschee had six steals and Robinson added four steals. 

For SBA, Abby Hinman scored three points and three steals. Ciera Mickelson grabbed eight rebounds.
