Pine Ridge 73, Lower Brule 55

RAPID CITY — Pine Ridge pulled away from Lower Brule for a Lakota Nation Invitational boys basketball win on Thursday. The Thorpes nailed 13 3-pointers. 

Pine Ridge's Anthony Steele finished with 18 points, six rebounds, five steals and four 3-pointers. Marvin Richard III added 16 points and four 3-pointers. Domonic Ghost Bear had 12 points and seven rebounds. Jaylin Rouillard posted 12 points, nine rebounds and three 3-pointers. Kanye Hollow Horn had 12 points. 

For Lower Brule, Lane Gray finished with 22 points, nine rebounds, three 3-poiinters and three steals. Quentin McBride Jr., posted 16 points and three steals. Elliot LaRoche posted 13 points. 


Rapid City Christian 86, Crazy Horse 43

RAPID CITY — Three players scored in double figures to pace Rapid City Christian to a Lakota Nation Invitational boys basketball win on Thursday.

Rapid City Christian’s Julius Frog finished with 19 points, while Benson Kieffer tossed in 17 points and collected eight boards. Cayden Von Eye recorded 11 points and Wes Schlabach had eight points. Wilson Kieffer posted six points and six rebounds. Julius Duran had six points and four rebounds. Lars Kieffer had five points. 

For Crazy Horse, Richard Pumpkin Seed had 17 points. Noah Iron Horse logged 10 points. Devaughn Between Lodges had nine points. Donnie Ghost Dog added seven points. 


White River 58, Custer 48 

RAPID CITY — White River rallied past Custer for a Lakota Nation Invitational boys basketball win on Thursday.

White River’s Nic Marshall finished with a game-high 25 points and collected five boards. Jordan Uhlir added 11 points. Mackenzie Wike had seven points. Ray Crow scored five points.

For Custer, Kincade Lehman had 13 points and Rett Lowe posted 11 points. Kyle Virtue had eight points and six rebounds. Carter Boyster added five points and eight boards. Roland Sedlacek added seven boards.


Lakota Tech 52, Red Cloud 47

RAPID CITY — Lakota Tech built a big lead and held off Red Cloud for a Lakota Nation Invitational boys basketball win on Thursday.

Lakota Tech’s Gilbert White finished with 14 points and eight boards. Mackenzie Cass added 13 points and six boards. Riley Casey added 12 points and seven boards. Julian Tonche had seven points. Michael Yankton posted three points and seven rebounds. 

For Red Cloud, Braylon Little recorded 17 points and six rebounds. Nick Zuniga added 10 points and four rebounds. Monty Montileaux posted nine points and eight boards. Josh Anderson finished with four points and 10 boards. Jacoby Spotted Eagle logged seven rebounds. 


Little Wound 56, Crow Creek 36

RAPID CITY — Little Wound used a 15-3 second quarter to help secure a Lakota Nation Invitational boys basketball win on Thursday.

Little Wound’s Cashus Hunter finished with 14 points and five boards. Tristen Kills Small had 10 points and five rebounds. Kinyan Catches Enemy recorded eight points and five rebounds. Ryan Jumping Eagle had five points and six rebounds. Jeremiah Brave Heart added five points. Jayvier Red Owl collected five boards.

For Crow Creek, Kiron Thompson finished with 12 points and hit three 3-pointers. Justin St. John and Julius Grey Owl scored five points apiece. St. John had six rebounds and Grey Owl had five boards. 


Santee 100, Oelrichs 26

RAPID CITY — Santee hit the century mark in a Lakota Nation Invitational boys basketball win on Thursday.

Santee’s Kellen Medina finished with 25 points and 16 rebounds. Justus Denney added 13 points, eight rebounds and six steals. Tasunka Starlin had 15 points and six steals. Christian Torrez had 12 points and six boards.

For Oelrichs, Keenan Youngman had 11 points and three steals. Anthony Warrior scored five points. 


St. Francis 67, Tiospaye Topa 28

RAPID CITY — St. Francis picked up a Lakota Nation Invitational boys basketball win on Thursday.

St. Francis’ Cante Kills In Water finished with 12 points, six steals and four rebounds. John Gunhammer posted nine points and four rebounds. 

For Tiospaye Topa, Jakolby Rousseau logged 15 points, four rebounds and three 3-pointers. Jesse Talks posted five steals and four rebounds. 


Dupree 63, Wakpala 55 

RAPID CITY — Three players scored in double figures to pace Dupree to a Lakota Nation Invitational boys basketball win on Thursday.

Dupree’s Elijah Brewer tossed in 16 points and grabbed four rebounds. Jayden Marshall and Kinslee Parker scored 12 points apiece. Randen Eagle Chasing finished with eight points and 12 rebounds. Braydon Terveen-Smith logged seven points and five rebounds. Bobby Brewer had eight points and seven rebounds. 

For Wakpala, Lane Cadotte finished with 21 points. Keenen Finlay added 12 points and 12 rebounds. Antoine Mellette had 11 points and six rebounds. 

 

Cheyenne-Eagle Butte 81, Takini 36

RAPID CITY — Cheyenne-Eagle Butte coasted past Takini for a Lakota Nation Invitational boys basketball win on Thursday.

CEB’s Austin Johnson posted 12 points, while Damien Clown added 11 points. Easton Lawrence recorded nine points and nine rebounds. Danah Diver posted eight points and five boards. Nehemiah Veaux posted seven points.

For Takini, Logan Quilt scored 17 points and had five rebounds. Xavier Condon had five points, while Jamiah Dupree had five rebounds.
