Red Cloud 52, Lower Brule 42

RAPID CITY — Red Cloud topped Lower Brule for a Lakota Nation Invitational boys basketball win on Friday.

Red Cloud’s Braylon Little finished with 16 points and nine rebounds. Nick Zuniga had 12 points and three 3-pointers. Monty Montileaux added eight points and five boards. Josh Anderson had 10 rebounds. Chayton Palmier posted eight points and eight rebounds. Jacoby Spotted Eagle finished with six points.

For Lower Brule, Lane Gray tossed in 22 points and hit four 3-pointers. Quentin McBride Jr., had 14 points and five rebounds. Marley Carpenter added 16 rebounds and two points. Elliot LaRoche had five rebounds. 


Custer 85, Crazy Horse 50

RAPID CITY — Three players scored in double figures to pace Custer to a Lakota Nation Invitational boys basketball win on Friday.

Custer’s Kyle Virtue finished with 25 points and 14 rebounds. Kincade Lehman had 11 points. Rett Lowe added eight points. Cody Dirkes added eight points and seven rebounds. Brady Virtue had seven points. Ayden Petz posted five points. 

For Crazy Horse, Richard Pumpkin Seed recorded 13 points. Devaughn Between Lodges finished with 10 points and five rebounds. Noah Iron Horse posted nine points, five rebounds and three steals. 


Wakpala 55, Oelrichs 22

RAPID CITY — Wakpala coasted to a Lakota Nation Invitational girls basketball win on Friday.

Wakpala’s Antoine Mellette finished with 11 points, three steals and three rebounds. Tavaughn Steele recorded eight points, while Everett Wells posted seven points. Lane Cadotte had six points and five rebounds. Zachary Moran finished with four points and nine boards. Nito Ducheneaux had six points and five rebounds. Lawrence Goodwen finished with four points and nine rebounds. 

For Oelrichs, Keenan Youngman had 11 points, eight rebounds and three steals. Andre Warrior logged four points and 11 rebounds. 


Tiospaye Topa 55, Takini 40

RAPID CITY — Jakolby Rousseau and Isaiah Lee combined for 30 points to pace Tiospaye Topa to a Lakota Nation Invitational boys basketball win on Friday.

Rousseau logged 20 points, six rebounds and three steals. Isaiah Lee had 10 points, four rebounds and two steals. Jesse Talks had seven points and three steals. Bailee Hall recorded six points and 13 rebounds.

For Takini, CJ Pederson finished with 15 points, five rebounds and four steals. Logan Quilt posted 14 points, 14 rebounds and five steals. Landon Dupris had five points. 


Wall 50, Crow Creek 47

RAPID CITY — Wall clipped Crow Creek for a Lakota Nation Invitational boys basketball win on Friday.

Wall’s Brodi Sundall logged 18 points and 12 rebounds. Dawson Handcock logged 13 points and five rebounds. Jace Mohr posted five points and three rebounds. Emmet Dinger had four points and five rebounds. Teelan Kjerstad added six points. 

For Crow Creek, Kiron Thompson finished with 19 points and five rebounds. Julius Grey Owl recorded 11 points and 10 rebounds. Josiah Kirkie had six points and five rebounds. 


Todd County 68, Omaha Nation 58

RAPID CITY — Three players scored in double figures to lift Todd County to a boys basketball win on Friday.

Todd County’s Kendrik Easter finished with 15 points and 11 rebounds. Wakinyan Sa Selwyn finished with 15 points and four rebounds. Ty Valandra posted 14 points. Roger Roether recorded seven points and 10 rebounds. Ciante Black Spotted Horse had seven points and three rebounds. 


Santee 64, Dupree 53

RAPID CITY — Santee topped Dupree in a Lakota Nation Invitational boys basketball game on Friday.

Santee’s Justus Denney recorded 26 points and five rebounds. Tasunka Starlin logged 22 points, while Kellen Medina had 11 points, seven steals and four rebounds.

For Dupree, Elijah Brewer netted 24 points. Kinslee Parker added 13 points and 11 rebounds. Randen Eagle Chasing finished with four points and 15 rebounds. Jayden Marshall had six rebounds and four points. Braydon Terveen-Smith had six rebounds.


St. Francis 42, Cheyenne-Eagle Butte 39

RAPID CITY — St. Francis clipped Cheyenne-Eagle Butte in a Lakota Nation Invitational boys basketball game on Friday.

St. Francis’ Cante Kills In Water finished with 15 points and seven rebounds. Ty Valandra added 12 points and six rebounds. Wanakiski Stands had 11 points.

For CEB, Easton Lawrence and Levi Elk Nation scored nine points apiece. Lawrence had seven rebounds. Austin Johnson had six points, while Damien Clown scored five points and grabbed four rebounds.
