McLaughlin 65, Little Wound 38

RAPID CITY —  Sandee Steele’s 30-point outing lifted McLaughlin over Little Wound during Wednesday’s LNI action.

Steele tallied 30 points, 11 rebounds, four assists and three steals, Raegin Yellow Earings tallied 11 points, three steals and two assists, Mari Richards had eight points, six rebounds and two stelas, Skye Powell had six points and seven rebounds, while Lainee Brown Otter totaled four points and rebounds in the win.

LW’s Tahca Zephier led with 13 points, two rebounds and three steals, Deandra Iron Cloud had 10 points, Royale Ghost totaled four points, while Rihanna Little Bull tallied four points and four rebounds in the loss.


Mahpiya Luta 67, Dupree 18

RAPID CITY — Jodene Big Crow-Hunter’s 22-point game lifted Class A No. 5 Mahpiya Luta over Dupree during Wednesday’s Lakota Nation Invitational.

Big Crow-Hunter tallied 22 points, three rebounds and seven steals, Ashlan Carlow-Blount had 16 points, three rebounds and four steals, Abigail Haas recorded nine points and three steals, Essence Tobacco totaled six points and four steals, while Dorthie Mesteth grabbed seven steals and two rebounds in the win.

Dupree’s Minda Woodward tallied six points and six rebounds, Charly Etzkorn recorded four points and a steal, Jaysie Starr had four points, four rebounds and three steals, while Kayclynn Young tallied two points and five rebounds in the loss.


Lakota Tech 78, Tiospaye Topa 46

RAPID CITY — Lizzie Robinson poured in 23 points for Lakota Tech in its Wednesday night victory over Tiospa Topa.

Robinson had 23 points, five rebounds, five steals and three assists, Shania Ferguson had 13 points, five rebounds and four steals, Angeliyah Big Boy recorded 15 points, seven rebounds and a steal, while Kate Robinson and Isabella Changreaux each had seven points in the win.

TT’s Tyrianna Hawk Bear had 14 points, 12 rebounds and a block, Leilani Bowker recorded 10 points, 12 rebounds and two assists, Pamela Meeter totaled 12 points and four rebounds, while Cadence Berine had 10 points and three rebounds in the loss.


Rapid City Christian 58, Marty 29

RAPID CITY — Three players finished in double figures as Rapid City Christian defeated Marty during Wednesday’s LNI action.

Nora Kieffer had 12 points, three rebounds, three assists and three steals, Sadie Marshall had 10 points, four rebounds and five steals, Nia Selfridge recorded 10 points and three steals, Abby Thomson totaled eight points and three stelas, while Lydia Williams had six points, seven rebounds and a steal in the win.

Promise Holiday led Marty with 11 points and nine rebounds, Zoe Waln recorded nine points, two rebounds, three assists and six steals, while Rozario Zephier tallied eight points and two steals in the loss.


Wall 57, Lower Brule 20

RAPID CITY — Wall defeated Lower Brule during Wednesday’s LNI action.

Brittney Walker tallied 13 points and 10 rebounds, Karmryn Kjerstad tallied eight points, seven rebounds, four steals and three assists, Braylee Walker had eight points, three rebounds and a steal, Allie Kjerstad recorded seven points and three steals, while Emmy Moon had eight points, seven rebounds and five steals in the win.

LB’s Brilyn LaRoche had six points, three rebounds and four blocks, Tori Crowe had four points and two rebounds, while Ezmiah Middletent totaled three points and a steal in the loss.


White River 61, Cheyenne-Eagle Butte 38

RAPID CITY — Maleena Brave dropped 26 points for White River in the Tigers’ victory over Cheyenne-Eagle Butte Wednesday.

Brave had 26 points, five rebounds, two assists and two steals, Leah Carr recorded 11 points, six steals and three rebounds, Skyler Krogman tallied 10 points and a steal, while Adeley Morrison totaled five points and two rebounds in the win.

CEB’s Dakotta Longbrake had seven points and three steals, Tommi Chasing Hawk recorded six points, three rebounds and two steals, Jailynn Knife tallied six points, six rebounds and three blocks, while Suni Bowman totaled five points and seven rebounds in the loss.


Custer 46, Todd County 18

RAPID CITY — Custer moved past Todd County during the Lakota Nation Invitational Wednesday.

Kylee Ellerton led the Wildcats with eight points, two rebounds and five steals, Jordyn Uphoff had eight points and two rebounds, Kylee Pulscher tallied eight points, while Jordyn Larsen and Maya Tennyson each had seven points in the win.

TC’s Luisa Two Eagle totaled five points, Gracie Two Eagle, Lexis Witt, and Lovelee Holy Bull each had three points, while Tashay LeRoy and Frankie Iron Heart each had two points in the loss.


Oelrichs 50, Crazy Horse 29

RAPID CITY — Gracey Leftwich’s 30-point, 16-rebound game powered the Tigers over Crazy Horse Wednesday.

Leftwich finished with 30 points, 16 rebounds, three steals, two blocks and two assists, LaStella Her Many Horses had 16 points, 12 rebounds, three steals and two blocks, while Mylieh Blacksmith totaled two points and eight rebounds in the win.

CH’s Leanna Red Elk had 12 points, five rebounds and six steals while Hailey Ashley tallied 12 points, six steals and six rebounds in the loss.


St. Francis 63, Takini 14

RAPID CITY — St. Francis defeated Takini during the Lakota Nation Invitational Wednesday.

Angelique Romero had 15 points, five rebounds and two steals, Joslin Bordeaux tallied nine points and two stelas, Cali O’Rourke recorded nine points, Kady Campbell totaled nine points and three assists, while Lesleen Makes Room For Them had seven points and five steals in the win.

Takini’s Aneisha Hays had three points and nine rebounds while Mylei Chargin Cloud had six rebounds and three steals in the loss.


Tiospa Zina 40, Pine Ridge 36

RAPID CITY — Tiospa Zina hung on to defeat Pine Ridge in the opening day of the Lakota Nation Invitational.

May Deutsch led Tiospa Zina with 10 points, eight rebounds and three steals, Caden Smith had nine points, six rebounds and three blocks, Lattice Rodlund totaled five points, three rebounds and seven steals, while Jaia Bursheim and Hannah Ziegler each had four points in the win.

PR’s Mia Morrison led the Thorpes with 11 points and six steals, Tina Sierra had nine points and four rebounds, Mia Long Visitor totaled seven points, five rebounds and four steals, while Diana Long Visitor totaled four points and nine rebounds in the loss.


Santee 54, Wakpala 46

RAPID CITY — Miley Pike’s 17-point game powered Santee to an eight-point victory over Wakpala Wednesday.

Pike finished with 17 points, seven rebounds, two steals and two assists, Talia Saunsoci recorded 10 points and two steals, Aubrinee Tuttle had 10 points and seven steals, while Wendy Archambeau recorded five points, seven rebounds and four steals in the win.

Wakpala’s Tylene Hawk Bear led with 15 points, nine rebounds, five assists and four steals, Jayla Plenty Chief totaled 13 points and eight rebounds, while Jailynn Kills Small had six points and three rebounds in the loss.
