Wakpala 57, Oelrichs 50

RAPID CITY — Tylene Hawk Bear’s 31-point double-double lifted Wakpala over Oelrichs during Thursday’s LNI action.

Hawk Bear had 31 points, 10 rebounds and eight steals, Jayla Plenty Chief totaled 18 points, four rebounds and two assists, while Danica Demarrias had four points, six rebounds and four steals in the win.

Oelrichs’ Kate Her Many Horses tallied 25 points, four rebounds and four steals, Isabella Her Many Horses cracked 12 points, six rebounds and two steals, while Mylieh Blacksmith tallied six points and eight rebounds in the loss.


Mahpiya Luta 84, Omaha Nation (Neb.) 48

RAPID CITY — Ashlan Carlow-Blount’s 27-point outing lifted Class A No. 5 Mahpiya Luta past Omaha Nation Thursday at the Lakota Nation Invitational.

Carlow-Blount totaled 27 points, five rebounds, four steals and two assists, Mya Mills had 20 points, three assists and two steals, Jodene Big Crow-Hunter recorded 14 points, while Essence Tobacco tallied eight points and two steals in the win.

ON’s Taylece McCauley had 17 points and three steals in the loss, Desma Walker recorded 12 points and five rebounds, Mikkel Parker recorded seven points, four rebounds and two assists, while Maleah Miller had four points as well.


Crow Creek 43, Dupree 33

RAPID CITY — A 22-point second quarter pushed Crow Creek over Dupree during Thursday’s Lakota Nation Invitational action.

Mary Dion led Crow Creek with 14 points, six rebounds, two assists and two steals, Justin Dog Eagle had nine points, three rebounds and a steal, Allison Wells had seven points, three rebounds and a steal, Marlee Sazue tallied six points and three rebounds, while Laila Marshall recorded four points and eight rebounds in the win.

Dupree’s Charly Etzkorn totaled eight points and two steals, Lourdes Dupris and Kayclynn Young each had six points, while Minda Woodward totaled five points, eight rebounds, four steals and two assists in the loss.


Pine Ridge 54, Takini 12

RAPID CITY — Pine Ridge defeated Takini during Thursday’s Lakota Nation Invitational.

Tina Sierra tallied 12 points, five rebounds and two steals, Diana Long Visitor totaled 11 points, six rebounds and four steals, Mia Long Visitor rallied nine points and six steals, while Melina Lakota totaled seven points, seven rebounds and a steal in the win.

Takini’s Mylei Charging Cloud tallied  three points, two rebounds and a steal, Sophia Brings Plenty totaled three points, three rebounds and five steals, Aneisha Hayes had three points, five rebounds and a block, while Alicyonna Hayes tallied three points and five rebounds in the loss.


Wall 57, Custer 40

RAPID CITY — Karmyn Kjerstad dropped 18 points for Wall in the Eagles victory over Custer Thursday.

Kjerstad finished with 18 points, six rebounds and six steals, Brittney Walker tallied 10 points, eight rebounds and five steals, Allie Kjerstad had eight rebounds, Emmy Moon totaled eight points and seven rebounds, while Faith Frink tallied seven points, eight rebounds, a steal and a block in the win.

Custer’s Maya Tennyson totaled 11 points, four rebounds and a steal, Jayda Bennett collected nine points, three rebounds and a steal, Jordyn Larsen had seven points, six rebounds and a steal, while Kylee Ellerton and Jordyn Uphoff each had four points in the loss.


Santee 75, Crazy Horse 14

RAPID CITY — Miley Pike erupted for 45 points as Santee defeated Crazy Horse Thursday at the Lakota Nation Invitational.

Pike finished with 45 points on 21-of-31 shot attempts, adding six rebounds and eight steals for Santee, Aubrinee Tuttle had 13 points and six steals, Talia Saunsoci totaled 12 points, six rebounds and a steal, while Alexis Red Owl brought in seven points, five steals, four assists and two rebounds in the win.

Crazy Horse’s Reelly Frazier tallied 10 rebounds and two steals, Leanna Red Elk had eight points, five rebounds and a steal, while Amerikis Fisherman totaled nine rebounds in the loss.


Lower Brule 40, Todd County 38

RAPID CITY —  Lower Brule hung on to defeat Todd County during Thursday’s LNI action.

Brilyn LaRoche totaled 15 points, seven rebounds and four steals, Florence Charger had 14 points aand three rebounds, Shante Walters recorded six points, while Lael Middletent had five points, six rebounds and four steals in the win.

TC’s Savanna Stands On Top collected nine points, 15 rebounds, two steals and two assists, Tashay LeRoy recorded eight points, two rebounds and two steals, Trinity Bettelyoun recorded six points and two steals, while Luisa Two Eagle had six points and six rebounds in the loss.


Rapid City Christian 63, White River 25

RAPID CITY — Rapid City Christian defeated White River Thursday at the Lakota Nation Invitational.

Lydia Williams tallied 10 points, eight rebounds and three steals, Sadie Marshall had nine points, four rebounds and two steals, Nora Kieffer recorded nine points, seven rebounds and two steals, while Abby Thompson and Clara Nalley each had six points in the win.

WR’s Maleena Brave recorded seven points and four rebounds, Leah Carr had six points and four rebounds, while Page Wright and Skyler Krogman each had four points in the loss.


Cheyenne-Eagle Butte 59, Marty 27

RAPID CITY — Dakota Longbrake’s 25-point performance lifted Cheyenne-Eagle Butte over Marty during Thursday’s LNI action.

Longbrake had 25 points, four rebounds and two steals, Suni Bowman added 10 points and 10 rebounds, Angel benson totaled nine points, while Ryan Moran tallied four points in the win.

Marty’s Promise Holiday tallied eight points, seven rebounds and two steals, Hailey Peters added five points, while Gabby Zephier, Zoe Waln, and Keyvarri Vasek each had four points in the loss.


Tiospa Zina 56, St. Francis 48

RAPID CITY — Tiospa Zina pulled away to defeat St. Francis during Thursday’s LNI action.

Caden Smith led the way with 16 points, six rebounds and five steals, Hannah Ziegler had nine points and four steals, May Deutsch tallied eight points and seven rebounds, Lattice Rodlund totaled eight points and three rebounds, while Jaia Bursheim collected seven points and six steals in the win.

SF’s Angelique Romero collected 17 points, nine rebounds, four steals and two assists, Erin White Lance tallied 12 points, five rebounds and two steals, while Joslin Bordeaux and Lesleen Makes Room For Them had seven points each in the loss.


Lakota Tech 56, McLaughlin 43

RAPID CITY —  Three players scored in double figures as Lakota Tech defeated McLaughlin Thursday at the Lakota Nation Invitational.

Lizzie Robinson had 16 points, five rebounds and three steals, Shania Ferguson tallied 12 points, five rebounds and three steals, Angeliyah Big Boy totaled 12 points annd nine rebounds, while Isabella Changreaux added nine points and four rebounds in the win.

McLaughlin’s Sandee Steele tallied 15 points and eight rebounds, Mari Richards tallied eight points, six rebounds and three blocks, Skye Powell added eight points and six rebounds in the loss.


Tiospaye Topa 60, Little Wound 50

RAPID CITY — Four players scored in double figures as Tiospaye Topa took down Little Wound Thursday at the Lakota Nation Invitational.

Tyrianna Hawk Bear had 20 points and 11 rebounds, Leilani Bowker tallied 11 points and 14 rebounds, Cadence Berine totaled 11 points and six rebounds, while Pamela Meeter tallied 11 points and two steals in the win.

LW’s Tahca Zephier led with 21 points, four rebounds and six steals, Alyssa Brewer totaled 14 points, while Deandra Iron Cloud and Summer Marshall each had four points in the loss.
