Huron 75, Rapid City Central 66

RAPID CITY — Blake Ellwein and Colton McNeil combined for 47 points as Huron took down Rapid City Central Friday.

Ellwein totaled 27 points, seven rebounds and a steal, McNeil had 20 points and two steals, Trace Wenz tallied eight points and eight rebounds, while Anderson Porisch recorded six points and two rebounds in the win.

RCC’s Gilbert White dropped 32 points, eight rebounds and four steals, Junor Allen had 14 points and seven rebounds, Kaden Mathieu totaled seven points and three rebounds, while Weiland Benbo and Preston Yellow each had four points in the loss.

 

Howard 49, McCook Central/Montrose 43

HOWARD --- Luke Koepsell powered Howard to a boys basketball win over McCook Central/Montrose on Friday.

Koepsell finished with 25 points, while Austin Severson scored nine points. Kolt Becker and Carson Hinker had five points apiece.

For MCM, Lane Deutsch recorded 18 points. Mason Sabers scored 10 points, while Owen Schmidt had six points. 


Waubay/Summit 35, Waverly/South Shore 33

SUMMIT — Waubay/Summit edged Waverly/South Shore during Friday’s high school boys basketball action.

Dylan Rumpza led the Mustangs with 13 points, Hogan Hlavacek totaled seven points, Camden Neilan had five points, while Traveion Neilan tallied four points in the win.

WSS’s Sam Appelhof tallied 12 points, Zach Ries and Kyle Kneeland each had six points, Brady Eschen totaled five points, while Colton Kranz cracked four points in the loss.


Dell Rapids St. Mary 66, Colman-Egan 57

DELL RAPIDS — Trevon Beckman and Maverick LeBrun each tallied 20-point double-doubles as Class B No. 2 Dell Rapids St. Mary defeated Colman-Egan Friday.

Beckman finished with 22 points, 12 rebounds, and six assists, LeBrun had 25 points and 12 rebounds, while Trimmier Hanson collected 11 points in the win.

Colman-Egan’s Jackson Zwart had 23 points in the loss.


Hanson 72, Scotland-Menno 44

ALEXANDRIA — The Wilber twins erupted for a combined 47 points as Hanson took down Scotland-Menno Friday.

Ben Wilber led the Beavers with 27 points, 10 rebounds and two blocks, making seven three-pointers, AJ Wilber added 20 points, eight rebounds and five assists, Tye Hernandez had 12 points, two assists and two steals, while Sutton Dewald had six assists in the win.

SM’s Izayah Ulmer totaled eight points and a steal, Bryce Sattler tallied eight points, Treytan Bult totaled eight points, while Trent Gutmiller brought down 11 rebounds in the loss.


Elkton-Lake Benton 59, Iroquois-Lake Benton 54

IROQUOIS — Three players scored in double figures as Elkton-Lake Benton defeated Iroquois-Lake Preston in high school boys basketball action Friday.

Colt Beck and Joseph Nibbe each had 17 points while Tanner Steine totaled 11 points in the win.

ILP’s Lucas Peskey had 23 points, Daunte Glanzer tallied 10 points, Ryne Greene recorded eight points, while Carter Arbeiter had six points in the loss


Sioux Falls Christian 91, Elk Point-Jefferson 27

ELK POINT — Five players hit double figures as Class A No. 2 Sioux Falls Christian defeated Elk Point-Jefferson Friday in high school boys basketball action.

Cooper Goodbary tallied 16 points, six rebounds, five assists and five steals, Carson Nickles totaled 14 points, three rebounds and a steal, Griffen Goodbary added 14 points and three blocks, Brant Wassenar tallied 11 points and five rebounds, Cole Snyder had  10 points and five steals, while Britton Mulder produced nine points and six assists in the win.

EPJ’s Ashton Fairbanks collected eight points, Landon Johnson tallied five points and three rebounds, while Nicholas Schmitz recorded four points in the loss.


James Valley Christian 55, Sunshine Bible Academy 32

HURON — Jerrad Wallman and Tayne Hermann each had 19 points as James Valley Christian took down Sunshine Bible Academy Friday.

Wallman finished with 19 points, nine rebounds and two steals, Hermann tallied 19 points, three rebounds and  three steals, while Jayven van Schareel totaled seven points in the win.

SBA’s Jerome Big Eagle  tallied three points and 10 rebounds, Jacob Hadden had nine points and four rebounds, Owan Watson totaled nine points, four rebounds and three steals, while Trey Thieman had five points and three assists in the loss.


Deubrook Area 75, Oldham/Ramona-Rutland 40

WHITE — Braxton Bednarek’s 21-point outing helped Deubrook Area take down Oldham/Ramona-Rutland Friday in high school boys basketball action.

B had 21 points, Chance Schoenfeld tallied 13 points, Isaac Gass totaled 12 points, Josh Mitchell added 11 points, while Connor Andrews added five points in the win.

ORR’s Boyd Pooler ed with 25 points, Brennon Bickett had seven points, while Garet Wicks and Roman Malisch each had three points in the loss.


Sioux Falls O’Gorman 55, Sioux Falls Jefferson 51

RAPID CITY — Sioux Falls O’Gorman hung on to defeat Class AA No. 5 Sioux Falls Jefferson in high school boys basketball Friday.

Nyan Dut led with 13 points, Caleb Terveen had nine points, Austin Terveen and Kamden Cisse each had eight points, including nine rebounds by Cisse, John Lent added six points, while Jackson Bjorkman totaled five points and six rebounds in the win.

Jefferson’s Colby Nuttbrock tallied 13 points and eight rebounds, Damaris Fields had 12 points, Kuek Kuek added 10 points, while Mason Payne tallied nine points and 13 rebounds in the loss.
