Dec. 9 Boys Basketball Roundup - Cooper Feddersen logs double-double in Jones County victory

Jones County 46, Highmore-Harrold 40 

MURDO — Cooper Feddersen logged a double-double as Jones County clipped Highmore-Harrold in boys basketball action on Saturday.

Feddersen finished with 25 points and 13 boards. Bryer Kinsley had 11 points. Kaden Kinsley posted six points and eight boards.

For Highmore-Harrold, Carson Stephenson scored 12 points. Aidan Ferens and Trake Cowan scored eight points apiece. Caleb Roth had five points. 


Ipswich 57, Hitchcock-Tulare 48

TULARE — Ipswich picked up a boys basketball win on Saturday.

Ipswich’s Trevor Heinz logged 24 points and Jace Konsor had 15 points. Chet Peterson had 11 points. Kyle Hettich had five points. 

For Hitchcock-Tulare, Patrick Maynard had 10 points and eight rebounds. Erik Salmen scored nine points and Devin Enander scored eight points. Jackson Maynard had seven points and Briggs LaBrie had six points. 


Sanborn Central/Woonsocket 65, Sunshine Bible Academy 29

MILLER — Sanborn Central/Woonsocket picked up a boys basketball win on Saturday.

Jeff Boschee logged 17 points and five boards for SCW. Peyton Uerker scored 12 points. Cody Slykhuis had nine points. Bryce Larson and McCoy Schulz scored seven points apiece. Trey Moody had six points and nine rebounds.

For SBA, Owan Watson scored 12 points. Trey Thieman had seven points, five rebounds and four steals. Dominic Kalacinski had six points and five boards. 


Chester 55, Garretson 34

CHESTER — Layke Wold and Jovi Wolf combined for 36 points to pace Chester to a boys basketball win on Saturday. 

Wold had 22 points, four assists and four steals. Wolf added 14 points. 

For Garretson, Ramsey Schweitzer logged 14 points. 


Madison 66, Elk Point-Jefferson 59

ELK POINT — Three players scored in double figures to pace Madison to a girls basketball win on Saturday. 

Madison’s Andrew Comes posted 14 points, three rebounds and three 3-pointers. Ben Brooks posted 13 points and seven rebounds. Myles Schneider scored 11 points. Eli Barger and Charles Callahan scored seven points apiece. Elijah Sims scored six points.

For EPJ, Ashton Fairbanks had 12 points. Kayden Moore and Evan Fornia scored 11 points apiece. Reed Sayler had 10 points. Luke Schmitz added seven points and Garrett Merkley had five points. 


Milbank 63, Lennox 54

MILBANK — Garrett Mertens and Yohana Ajwanga combined for 41 points to pace Milbank to a boys basketball win on Saturday.

Mertens finished with 26 points and five assists. Ajwanga added 15 points. Jackson Wildung posted nine points and 10 rebounds. Joe Schulte logged eight points and nine rebounds. 

For Lennox, Tate Gerdes scored 24 points. Boston Katzer recorded 12 points and six boards. Talan Diercks had eight points and four rebounds. Drake Mikkelsen had five rebounds and four points. 


Pierre 53, Rapid City Central 43

RAPID CITY — Three players scored in double figures to pace Pierre to a boys basketball win on Saturday. 

Pierre’s Jett Zabel finished with 16 points and 10 rebounds. Dawson Getz added 16 points and hit five 3-pointers. Luke Olson scored 10 points.

For Rapid City Central, Isaiah Whiting tossed in a game-high 25 points. Ryan Wetch and Trae Brandrup scored six points apiece. Jet Janvrin had five rebounds, four assists and two points. 


Sioux Falls Roosevelt 47, Sioux Falls Jefferson 38

SIOUX FALLS — Class AA No. 2 Sioux Falls Roosevelt held off Class AA No. 1 Sioux Falls Jefferson for a boys basketball win on Saturday.

Roosevelt’s Garang Kuol and Logan Nielsen scored 12 points apiece. Jackson Brouwer and Memphis Bylander had five points apiece. 

For Jefferson, Mason Payne had nine points and eight rebounds. Damaris Fields scored eight points, while Dawson Sechser had seven points.
