Rapid City Stevens 60, Douglas 28

BOX ELDER — Class AA No. 4 Rapid City Stevens rolled to a high school girls basketball win on Monday.

Taaliyah Porter paced the Raiders with 18 points. 


Vermillion 61, Canton 57

VERMILLION — Class A No. 1 Vermillion rallied from a 20-4 deficit and outlasted Canton for a high school girls basketball win on Monday. 

Vermillion’s Brooke Jensen recorded 22 points and nine rebounds. Kasey Hanson added 20 points, including 15 third-quarter points. Taylor Reuvers posted 16 points, five rebounds, six assists and three steals. 

Canton’s Jenna Vande Weerd finished with 23 points and 13 rebounds. Camryn Skiles added 14 points, three rebounds and two assists. Jordan Rhead had 12 points. 


Chester 58, Freeman Academy/Marion 23

CHESTER — Chester jumped out to a 37-10 first-quarter lead and picked up a high school girls basketball win on Monday.

Chester’s Emmerson Eppard tallied 25 points, eight rebounds and four steals. Katelyn Schut posted 10 points and five boards. Jacy Wolf dished out eight assists and collected eight steals. 

For FAM, Karley Luke recorded six points and Elizabeth Piehl added four assists.
