CASTLEWOOD — The District 1B amateur baseball tournament has been cut short due to heavy rainfall in Castlewood and the surrounding area.

The tournament was initially postponed due to a storm that rolled through the Castlewood area Sunday, dumping nearly seven inches of rain. 

After multiple attempts to try and continue playing the final five games of the tournament, it’s been determined that the Castlewood Ravens are the 2025 Eastern Dakota League district champions.

The next three representatives were determined based on final regular season standings, with Milbank, Lake Norden and Clark each earning a representative spot in that order.

Elkton and Volga will play in a “Last chance” game for the final spot in District 1B Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. in Elkton.
