Wagner High School’s Ashlyn Koupal is the 20th-ranked player in the Class of 2026, according to ESPN.

ESPN updated and expanded the rankings for each of the 2025, 2026 and 2027 classes on June 5.

In ESPN’s Class of 2026 HoopGurlz Super 60, Koupal debuted as the 20th-ranked player and is considered a four-star recruit in her class.

ESPN also selected Koupal, a 6-foot-2 wing, as an emerging player in the Class of 2026 and said: “Koupal had a breakout spring on the club circuit. A 6-2 wing with all the fundamental skills, she makes plays all over the floor in a variety of ways. She shows the ability to spot up for the 3, post up, and facilitate on offense where the game clearly makes sense to her. Most noticeably, she moves really well without the ball and is economical with her dribbles. There will be some adjustment as her rise will find her with opportunities to be on more elite floors in the near future, as well as the jump up to the 17U level providing some physical challenges. She has the tools to adjust accordingly and continue her rise in the ranks, however.”

The junior-to-be has received scholarship offers from Michigan State, Texas A&M, Michigan, North Carolina, Wisconsin, Colorado, South Dakota, Arkansas, TCU, Georgia Tech, Alabama, Utah, Minnesota, Kansas, Iowa State, Miami (Ohio), Indiana, Nebraska, North Dakota State, Colorado State, Creighton and South Dakota State.

Koupal plays for the Sanford Sports Academy on the AAU circuit and was a first-team all-state selection this past season for Wagner. She averaged 21.3 points, 11.5 rebounds and four assists per game during her sophomore campaign.

In the Class of 2026 rankings, Maddyn Greenway was ranked as the No. 21 player and is also considered a four-star prospect in the class. Greenway, who plays for Providence Academy in Minnesota, is the daughter of Mount Vernon native and former Minnesota Viking linebacker Chad Greenway.
