YANKTON — Elk Point-Jefferson’s Lauren McDermott secured both hurdle events at Thursday’s First Dakota Relays.

McDermott broke her personal best in both the 100-meter hurdles (:14.98) and 300-meter hurdles (:45.73) to win the events.

In the girls’ meet, Parker/Marion’s Braelyn Berens won the 100-meter dash (:12.07).

Sioux Falls Christian’s Halle Braun won the 200-meter dash (:24.97) and the 400-meter dash (:57.19). SFC’s Sadie Pettengill won the 3,200-meter run (10:55.32) as well.

Dakota Valley’s Alex McCullough secured the 800-meter run (2:16.41) and the 1,600-meter race (5:02.20).

SFC’s Autumn Aukes, Emory Lems, Sydney Schaap and Alexis McEntree won the 400-meter relay (:49.81).

DV’s Millie Squier, Mallory Riibe, Emma Honner and Ava Squier won the 800-meter relay (1:45.83).

Tea Area’s Jaycie Babb, Brooklyn Reiners, Grace Bialas and Sydney Stahlecker captured the 1,600-meter relay (4:00.10).

SFC’s Pettengill, Natalie Smith, Bailey VanderGriend and Ellie Maddox won the 3,200-meter relay (9:10.59).

Mitchell’s Avrie London, Ava Kurtenbach, Ava Prunty and CeCe Morgan won the 1,600-meter sprint medley relay (4:34.55).

In the field events, Elk Point-Jefferson’s Kate Hayes won the discus title (112-02).

Wagner’s Ashlyn Koupal reached 5-06 to win the high jump event.

Tea Area’s Daphne Decker won the javelin throw (116-07).

Yankton’s Burkley Olson won the long jump event (17-11.50).

SFC’s Alexis McEntee won the pole vault event (11-01).

Yankton’s Maddie Tereshinski secured the shot put title (36-10.00).

DV’s Dakota Valley won the triple jump event (37-06.00).

On the boys’ side, Tea Area’s Beckett Martens won the 100-meter dash (:10.67) and 200-meter dash (:22.23).

Mitchell’s Alexier Padilla won the 400-meter dash (49.96) while teammate Hunter Patton secured the 1,600-meter run (4:34.58).

Sioux Falls Christian’s Levi Vander Leest won the 800-meter run (1:57.51).

Mitchell Christian’s Silas Holdeman won the 3,200-meter run (9:56.15).

SFC’s Dawson Holthe won the 110-meter hurdles (:15.08).

Tea Area’s Dawood Toto took the 300-meter hurdles (:41.86).

Vermillion’s Ryne Chapman, Jacob Fischer, Elijah Lara and Ian Job won the 400-meter relay (:43.24). Vermillion’s Gage Beverly, Hunter Morse, Tim Freeburg and Oscar Edelen won the 3,200-meter relay as well (8:21.93).

Mitchell’s Padilla, Ben Johnson, Sam Mullenmeister and Samari Wright took the 800-meter relay (1:30.20) while Padilla, Keniel Padilla, Wright and Mullenmeister took first place in the 1,600-meter relay (3:25.45).

Mitchell’s Luke Van’t Haaff, Mason Kempf, Adam Kampshoff and Ben Gerlach won the 1,600-meter sprint medley relay (3:47.62) for the Kernels as well.

In the field events, Mitchell’s Bryer Stach secured the discus throw (159-01).

Yankon’s Jake Bivens won the high jump title (6-00).

EPJ’s Luke Schmitz took the top spot in the javelin throw (143-00).

Vermillion’s Lara secured the long jump event (21-02.00).

Yankton’s WIlliam Rounds won the pole vault title (13-06).

SFC’s Marcus Furth won the shot put (57-03.25) while teammate Trey Boyd won the triple jump event (40-00.50) as well.
