Feb. 12 Boys Basketball Roundup - Jase Mousel pours in 43 points for Colman-Egan

Colman-Egan 71, Iroquois/Lake Preston 49 

LAKE PRESTON — Jase Mousel erupted for 43 points in a boys basketball win on Monday.

Mousel also hit six 3-pointers. Jack Mousel added 15 points, while Jackson Zwart had seven points. 

ILP’s Josh McMasters scored 16 points and Ryne Greene added eight points. Lucas Peskey had seven points and Daunte Glanzer scored six points.  


Marty 69, Lakota Tech 63

PINE RIDGE — Marty edged Lakota Tech for a boys basketball win on Monday.

Marty’s Tate Elk Soldier scored 21 points, while Kris Meeter recorded 16 points. Zander Galvin scored 11 points. Terrill Rave and Haepi Elk Soldier had seven points apiece. 

Lakota Tech’s Treyton Sam finished with 24 points and four rebounds. Gavin White added 19 points and eight rebounds. Riley Casey added nine points and five boards. Julian Tonche had six points and five boards. Mackenzie Cass dished out eight assists. 


Ethan 66, Corsica-Stickney 64

CORSICA — Ethan clipped Corsica-Stickney for a boys basketball win on Monday.

Ethan’s Jack Bartscher finished with 20 points. Drake Gustafson and Braedon Nebelsick scored 16 points apiece. Rylan Gerlach had 11 points. 

Corsica-Stickney’s Tyson Wentland finished with 21 points and eight rebounds. Jarrett Olawksy posted 17 points, while Austin Krogstad added seven rebounds. 


Wagner 66, Burke 58 

BURKE — Four players scored in double figures to pace Wagner to a boys basketball win on Monday.

Wagner’s Parker Petry scored 19 points, while Jesse Zephier added 13 points. Carter Cournoyer posted 11 points and Brady Cournoyer had 10 points.

Burke’s Reed Benter poured in a game-high 31 points and grabbed six boards. Sam Steele logged 16 points. 


Waubay-Summit 72, Britton-Hecla 34

BRITTON — Three players scored in double figures to pace Waubay-Summit to a boys basketball win on Monday. 

Waubay-Summit’s Jackson Wohlleber finished with 23 points and three 3-points. Jared Purdy posted 17 points, while Dylan Rumpza had 12 points. Camden Neilan and Hogan Hlavecek scored six points apiece.

Britton-Hecla’s Dawson Treeby posted 10 points. Daniel Person and Jaxon Zuehlke scored six points apiece. Will Richter scored five points. 


Andes Central/Dakota Christian 56, Menno 36

MENNO — Andes Central/Dakota Christian picked up a 20-point boys basketball win on Monday.

ACDC’s Hunter Loeffler recorded 19 points, while Garth Maas added 11 points. Peter Backes posted eight points, eight rebounds and six assists.

Menno’s Izayah Ulmer had 12 points and nine rebounds.


Timber Lake 74, Dupree 60 

TIMBER LAKE — Tristan Dupris and Kyler Bollinger combined for 43 points to pace Timber Lake to a boys basketball win on Monday.

Dupris recorded 24 points, while Bollinger added 19 points. Gracen Hansen scored nine points and Aidan Rough Surface scored eight points. Kanton Hunt had six points and Cole Ducheneaux added five points.

Dupree’s Randen Eagle Chasing scored 16 points, while Jayden Marshall had 11 points. Kingslee Parker posted nine points. Elijah Brewer and Braydon Terveen-Smith scored eight points apiece. 


Milbank 78, Estelline-Hendricks 58

MILBANK — Joe Schulte and Garrett Mertens combined for 51 points and 14 rebounds to pace Milbank to a boys basketball win on Monday.

Schulte finished with 30 points and 10 rebounds. Mertens added 21 points, seven assists and four rebounds. Esteban Abrego-Gonzalez added six points and five boards. Graham Lighfield had six points and six assists. 

Estelline-Hendricks’ Wyat James recorded 16 points, six rebounds and three 3-pointers. Kyler Carlson recorded 10 points. Mattix Hausman and Braxton Pravecek scored six points apiece. Matthew McAninch had five points. 


Canton 75, Parker 42

CANTON — Four players scored in double figures to pace Canton to a boys basketball win on Monday.

Canton’s Cain Wallner recorded 16 points and four rebounds. Matt Anderson added 15 points, eight rebounds and four assists. Pierce Mastalir had 12 points, while Braxton Mulder added 11 points, six rebounds, five assists and three 3-pointers. Julius Moore posted nine points, five rebounds and four assists. Ryan Kuper had five points and five boards. 

For Parker, Landon Wieman recorded 12 points and 13 rebounds. Ray Travnicek, Landon Beck and Myles Meyer had six points apiece.
