PLATTE — Class A No. 3 Winner outlasted Platte-Geddes in overtime for a boys basketball win on Tuesday. 

Blake Volmer paced the Warriors with 16 points and 13 rebounds. Slade Cournoyer added 14 points, while Ethan Bartels added 13 points. Aiden Barfuss finished with six points. 

Platte-Geddes’ Caden Foxley led the Black Panthers with 17 points and 10 rebounds. Jackson Olsen had 11 points, while Dawson Hoffman had seven points and four rebounds. Jackson Neuman added six points and five rebounds. Joey Foxley grabbed eight boards.

Aberdeen Christian 57, Langford Area 42

LANGFORD — Four players scored in double figures to lift Class B No. 3 Aberdeen Christian to a boys basketball win over Langford Area on Tuesday. 

Malek Wieker led the Knights with 18 points and hit four 3-pointers. Jackson Isakson netted 14 points and drilled four 3-pointers. Andrew Brennan and Ethan Russell scored 10 points apiece, while Russell grabbed seven rebounds. 

Langford Area’s Jesse Keough posted 15 points, while Ben Gustafson recorded 12 points and eight rebounds. Brayden Peterson finished with 10 points and seven rebounds.


Mount Vernon/Plankinton 62, Bon Homme 40 

TYNDALL — Mount Vernon/Plankinton pulled away from Bon Homme for a boys basketball win on Tuesday. 

Jordan Stoltz led the Titans with 22 points, six rebounds and five blocked shots. Reed Rus added 12 points, 10 rebounds, nine assists and five steals. Zach Baker logged eight points and four rebounds.  


Dakota Valley 89, Sioux City West, Iowa 41

NORTH SIOUX CITY — Four players scored in double figures as Class A No. 1 Dakota Valley raced past Sioux City West, Iowa for a boys basketball win on Tuesday.

DV’s Isaac Bruns recorded a double-double of 23 points and 11 rebounds, while Randy Rosenquist tallied a double-double of 17 points and 13 assists. Luke Norby and Jaxson Wingert each scored 12 points. Jaxon Hennies and Joey Bryan chipped in nine and eight points, respectively. 


Chester Area 72, Arlington 45

ARLINGTON — Stratton Eppard recorded a double-double as Chester Area picked up a boys basketball win over Arlington on Tuesday. 

Eppard finished with 31 points, 11 rebounds and four assists. Jovi Wolf added 16 points and six rebounds. Ashton Oliver had eight points and four assists, while Brock Wages had five points and seven rebounds. Brayden Vogel finished with five rebounds and four points.

Arlington’s Ryker Erstad finished with 20 points, seven rebounds and four assists. Britt Carlson logged 13 points and four rebounds. Caden Letsche added 12 points and five rebounds. Tommy Bacon grabbed five boards. 

 

Colman-Egan 46, Lake Preston 37

LAKE PRESTON — Colman-Egan picked up a boys basketball win over Lake Preston on Tuesday.

CE’s Ben Zwart tallied 15 points, while Austin Gullickson recorded 14 points. Antonio Manzano added seven points.

Lake Preston’s Riley Casper scored a game-high 19 points, seven rebounds, and three steals. Jake Larsen tallied eight points, nine rebounds, and three steals, while Josh McMasters added eight points.


Ipswich 66, Hitchcock-Tulare 37

IPSWICH — Three players scored in double figures as Ipswich pulled away for a boys basketball win on Tuesday.

Taylor Thorson scored 16 points, while Ian Beyers tallied 15 points and five rebounds. Trevor Beyers chipped in 11 points and five assists. Trevor Heinz and Carson Gohl added eight and seven points, respectively. Gohl also grabbed nine boards.

HT’s Jackson Maynard scored nine points, while Kyle Hamilton added eight points.


Flandreau 78, Baltic 48 

FLANDREAU — Three players scored in double figures as Class A No. 5 Flandreau picked up a 30-point boys basketball win over Baltic on Tuesday. 

Chase LeBrun led Flandreau with 25 points, five rebounds and five blocked shots. Tash Lunday added 17 points and six assists. Alex Anderson had 11 points and six assists. 

Baltic’s James Leffring and Gunner Schulte scored 12 and nine points, respectively. 


Viborg-Hurley 59, Menno 27

MENNO — Three players scored in double figures to lift Viborg-Hurley to a boys basketball win over Menno on Tuesday.

Blake Schroedermeier finished with 13 points, while Hayden Gilbert scored 12 points. Byron Osterloo finished with 11 points. 

Menno’s Blake Rames scored six points, while Kadeyn Ulmer finished with five points and five rebounds. 


Ethan 77, Freeman 42

FREEMAN — Riley Endres and Jay Storm combined for 41 points as Ethan raced past Freeman in a boys basketball game on Tuesday.

Endres led all scorers with 21 points and five rebounds, while Storm scored 20 points. Kaden Klumb netted 11 points and six assists, while Kody Klumb added eight points.

Freeman’s Bradey Kaufman and Ethan Balvin scored 11 and nine points, respectively.


Hamlin 71, Deuel 44

HAMLIN — Four players scored in double figures to lift Hamlin to a boys basketball win over Deuel on Tuesday. 

Tyson Stevenson finished with 20 points, while Brennan Keszler had 16 points. Easton Neuendorf had 14 points and Evan Stormo logged 12 points. Dawson Noem scored seven points.

Deuel’s Cooper Schiernbeck finished with 15 points, while Gavin Benck posted eight points. Trey Maaland scored six points, while Naethan Lovre and Zane Bingham scored five points apiece. 


Leola/Frederick Area 64, Waverly-South Shore 44

FREDERICK — Leola/Frederick Area picked up a 20-point boys basketball win over Waverly-South Shore on Tuesday.

Mason Hinz led the Titans with 17 points, while Ethan Morlock netted 16 points. Noah Kippley had 12 points. 


Wolsey-Wessington 48, Warner 36

WOLSEY — Carson Zomer and Blaze Herdman scored nine points apiece as Wolsey-Wessington topped Warner in boys basketball action on Tuesday.

Tate French finished with eight points and five rebounds, while Jemetrius Scott scored eight points. Marrien Gohn had seven points. Payson Gohn had nine rebounds. Tate French finished with five rebounds. 

Warner’s Sam Nilsson and Peyton Jung scored seven points apiece. Bradey Sauerwein scored six points.


McCook Central/Montrose 57, Tri-Valley 52

COLTON — Three players scored in double figures as McCook Central/Montrose outlasted Tri-Valley in boys basketball action on Tuesday.

Cody Miles scored 15 points, while Gavin Gordon had 12 points. Micah VanRuler scored 10 points.

Tri-Valley’s Cory McDonald netted 15 points, while Lance DeWitt and Conner Christensen scored 13 points apiece. 


Stanley County 46, Mobridge-Pollock 36

MOBRIDGE — Stanley County held off Mobridge-Pollock for a boys basketball win on Tuesday.

Stanley County’s Cormac Duffy led the Buffaloes with 17 points and eight rebounds. Lathan Prince posted 15 points. Dayson Titze and Stran Scott scored five points apiece. 

Mobridge-Pollock’s Ashton Pfitzer finished with 12 points and eight rebounds. Michael Wald had nine points, while Brady Bauer had six points. 


Sioux Falls Washington 71, Mitchell 66

SIOUX FALLS — Sioux Falls Washington edged Class AA No. 4 Mitchell for a boys basketball win on Tuesday. 

Joe Uttecht led the Warriors with 21 points, while Mikele Kambalo posted 11 points and six rebounds. Angok Akot added 10 points and five rebounds. Zharic Sheppard and Mandalla Mohamed scored nine points apiece, while Mohamed had five assists. 

Mitchell’s Caden Hinker recorded 25 points, 11 rebounds and four 3-pointers. Dylan Soulek added 13 points and six rebounds. Steele Morgan added nine points and eight boards, while Gavyn Degen had nine points. Charlie McCardle finished with eight points and six rebounds. 


Aberdeen Central 62, Watertown 43

WATERTOWN — Class AA No. 5 Aberdeen Central pulled away from Watertown for a boys basketball win on Tuesday. 

Alec Voegele led the Golden Eagles with 25 points and seven rebounds. Sam Rohlfs finished with 18 points, while A.J. Hase logged 11 points. 

Watertown’s Drew Norberg scored 14 points and Devon Lewis added 13 points. 


Sioux Falls Roosevelt 56, Sioux Falls Lincoln 51

SIOUX FALLS — Class AA No. 1 Sioux Falls outlasted Sioux Falls Lincoln in boys basketball action on Tuesday. 

Micah Johnson led Roosevelt with 15 points and six rebounds. Vance Borchers added 13 points and five rebounds. Sam McMillan logged 10 points, while Marcus Phillips had nine points and four rebounds. 

Lincoln’s J.T. Rock led the Patriots with 21 points, nine rebounds and five 3-pointers. Caleb Hiatt added 11 points. Khalil Cisse had eight points, while Gage Gohl logged eight rebounds. Elliot Whitney had six points. 


Tri-State, N.D., 61, Wilmot 52

WILMOT — Jacob Lick and Isaiah Rydell combined for 33 points to lead Tri-State, North Dakota, to a boys basketball win over Wilmot on Tuesday. 

Lick finished with 19 points, while Rydell added 14 points. 

Wilmot’s Trey Jurgens netted 25 points. Parker Steege added 12 points, while Brayden Ebben had five points.

Girls basketball 

Winner 59, Platte-Geddes 43

PLATTE — Three players scored in double figures to lift Winner to a girls basketball win over Platte-Geddes on Tuesday. 

Jenna Hammerbeck led the Warriors with 15 points and hit three 3-pointers. Kelsey Sachtjen added 13 points, while Bella Swedlund logged 10 points. Josey Kludt and Ava Craven scored eight and six points, respectively. 


Corsica-Stickney 51, Tripp-Delmont/Armour 21

ARMOUR — Avery Broughton and Rachel Gerlach combined for 34 points to pace Class B No. 4 Corsica-Stickney to a girls basketball win over Tripp-Delmont/Armour on Tuesday. 

Broughton led the Jaguars with 18 points and 10 rebounds. Gerlach added 16 points, while Casey Tolsma had five points and five rebounds. 

TDA’s Megan Reiner logged 15 points and eight rebounds. Hannah Stremick added six points. 

 

Jones County 68, White River 57

MURDO — Behind Mallory Valburg’s school-record performance, Jones County upset Class B No. 5 White River in girls basketball action on Tuesday.

Valburg led the Coyotes with 39 points, breaking Madison Mathews’ school record of 36 points set in 2014. Valburg added 12 points, five blocked shots and four assists. She was also recognized prior to the game for breaking the school’s career steal record. 

Jadyn Jensen added 13 points, while Jolie Dugan scored seven points.

White River’s Maleighya Estes scored 31 points.

Aberdeen Roncalli 52, Florence/Henry 38

ABERDEEN — Madelyn Bragg’s double-double lifted Aberdeen Roncalli to a girls basketball win over Florence-Henry on Tuesday. The Cavaliers’ coach Derek Larson also recorded his 200th career win. 

Bragg led the Cavaliers with 31 points and 11 rebounds. 

Florence-Henry’s Caylin Kelly finished with 23 points and 10 rebounds. 


Aberdeen Christian 61, Langford Area 25

LANGFORD — Class B No. 3 Aberdeen Christian coasted past Langford Area for a girls basketball win on Tuesday. 

Mallory Miller led the Knights with 19 points, while Joy Rohrbach had 15 points. 

Langford Area’s Megan Gustafson finished with nine points. 


Andes Central/Dakota Christian 33, Parkston 29 

PARKSTON — Andes Central/Dakota Christian outlasted Parkston for a girls basketball win on Tuesday.

ACDC’s Josie Brouwer led the way with 12 points, while Allison Muckey added nine points and five boards. Lexie VanderPol had four points, five blocked shots and seven rebounds. 

Parkston’s Allison Ziebart finished with 12 points and seven rebounds. Brielle Bruening posted seven points and six rebounds. Abby Hohn had six points and four rebounds. 


Mount Vernon/Plankinton 62, Bon Homme 48 

TYNDALL — Mount Vernon/Plankinton knocked off Bon Homme for a girls basketball win on Tuesday.

Emilee Fox led the Titans with 26 points, while Maria Baker had 15 points. 

Jurni Vavruska led Bon Homme with 15 points. Jaden Kortan finished with 10 points. 


Flandreau 63, Baltic 31

FLANDREAU — Class A No. 5 Flandreau coasted past Baltic for a girls basketball win on Tuesday.

Lizzie Pavlis led Flandreau with 14 points, 10 rebounds and four assists. Claire Sheppard and Maria Parsley scored 13 points apiece, while Parsley collected 10 rebounds. Sheppard had seven boards. Lily Klein logged nine points, four steals and four assists. 

Baltic’s Sam Polzin tossed in 14 points, while Berklee Erickson had nine points. 


Viborg-Hurley 55, Menno 35

MENNO — Viborg-Hurley jumped out to a 22-7 first-quarter lead en route to a girls basketball win over Menno on Tuesday. 

Charley Nelson netted 14 points, while Coral Mason added 13 points, seven boards and four assists. Denae Mach added seven points and six boards. Estelle Lee and Shelby Lyons scored six points apiece. Delana Mach added five points. Lee also had four rebounds and four assists. 

Menno’s Ashton Massey and Layne Schmidt scored 10 points apiece. 


Arlington 67, Chester Area 47

ARLINGTON — Hadley Carlson’s monster double-double lifted Arlington to a girls basketball win over Chester Area on Tuesday.

Carlson finished with 32 points, 16 rebounds, four assists and three steals. Harley Johnson added 14 points and five rebounds. Addalyn Steffensen finished with 12 points, five rebounds and four assists. Grace Parry added five assists and seven rebounds. 

Chester Area’s Emmerson Eppard logged 20 points, five rebounds and four steals. Emery Larson finished with seven points and four rebounds. Jacy Wolf had eight points, while Raegan Hoff added six points and five rebounds. 


Herreid/Selby Area 63, Potter County 35

GETTYSBURG — Kendell Sawinsky and Jennica Berens combined to score 44 points as Herreid/Selby Area cruised past Potter County in a girls basketball game on Tuesday.

Sawinsky tallied 28 points and seven rebounds, while Berens poured in 16 points and five assists. Jada Rossow added nine points and four steals.

The Battlers were led by Tyler Simon with 16 points, while Ashlee Kaup scored 10 points. Kayden Cronin grabbed 14 rebounds.


Deubrook Area 63, Webster Area 61

TORONTO — Deubrook Area edged Webster Area in a girls basketball game on Tuesday.

Carley Landmark scored 17 points to lead the Dolphins, while Emma Vandermeer tallied 14 points. Ellie Koenig recorded nine points, while Kadence Bowne added seven points.

Webster Area’s Jaiden Bauer netted a game-high 20 points, while Paige Snell tallied 17 points. Alivia Baumgarn chipped in 14 points, while Harley Johnson added eight points.


Elkton-Lake Benton 59, Flandreau Indian 23

FLANDREAU — Elkton-Lake Benton raced past Flandreau Indian for a girls basketball win on Tuesday.

ELB’s Rachael Krog scored 12 points, while Aubrey Schindler tallied 10 points. Kylie Ramlo chipped in 10 points, six rebounds, and six steals, while Tevan Erickson added seven points.

Flandreau Indian’s Angelique Bell and Erika Bien each scored nine points. 


Scotland 55, Canistota 44

SCOTLAND — Scotland pulled away from Canistota for a girls basketball win on Tuesday. 

Delanie VanDriel led the Highlanders with 17 points, 12 rebounds and five steals. Jenna Vitek added 14 points, while Audrey Sayler had nine points and nine rebounds. Martina DeBoer added eight points. 

Canistota’s Kayla Papendick finished with 17 points and five rebounds. Natalie Becker recorded seven points, nine rebounds and five assists. Hannah Hoffman and Sydnee Engbrecht scored seven points, while Engbrecht had five rebounds. 


Lennox 38, Beresford 23

LENNOX — Alicia Ruud and Andie Peters scored nine points apiece as Lennox picked up a girls basketball win over Beresford on Tuesday.

Ruud added seven rebounds.

Beresford’s Ella Merriman scored 11 points. 


Garretson 55, Parker 22

GARRETSON — Garretson jumped out to a 14-4 first-quarter lead en route to a girls basketball win over Parker on Tuesday. 

Garretson’s Lily Ranschau finished with 10 points and eight rebounds. Anna Jones scored seven points and had six rebounds, while Logan Bly grabbed six rebounds. 


Sioux Falls Christian 67, Yankton 41

SIOUX FALLS — Kylah vanDonkersgoed and Ellie Lems combined for 40 points to lift Sioux Falls Christian to a girls basketball win over Yankton on Tuesday.

vanDonkersgoed scored 23 points, while Lems netted 17 points. 

Yankton’s Claire Tereshinski and Molly Savey scored 11 points apiece. 


Milbank 50, Madison 37

MILBANK — Milbank picked up a girls basketball win over Madison on Tuesday.

Maurina Street led Milbank with 14  points, 12 rebounds, and four steals, while Isabella Anderson scored 13 points and nine rebounds. Tyra Berry chipped in eight points, while Tatum Berry and Claire Snaza each added seven points.

Madison was led by Zoey Gerry with 17 points and five boards, while Audrey Nelson added 14 points and four steals.
