Gregory 63, Bon Homme 43

GREGORY — Gregory used a balanced scoring attack to pick up a 20-point boys basketball win on Friday.

Daniel Mitchell scored 16 points, while Lincoln Juracek had 12 points on four 3-pointers. Colt Kaiser had 10 points and Jack Bolander posted nine points. Cruz Klundt logged six points

Bon Homme’s Jace Toupal scored 18 points and Easton Mudder had 11 points. Chapin Cooper added eight points and Landon Schmidt scored five points. 

Pine Ridge 79, Todd County 41

PINE RIDGE — Marvin Richard III powered Class A No. 3 Pine Ridge to a boys basketball win on Friday.

Richard III, a sophomore, scored 28 points and recorded his 1,000th career point.

Todd County’s Chris Ellert had nine points and Kendrik Easter added eight points. 


White River 52, New Underwood 38 

NEW UNDERWOOD — Class B No. 2 White River held off New Underwood for a boys basketball win on Friday.

White River’s Nic Marshall recorded 23 points. Jordan Uhlir added 11 points, while Teagen Bouman added nine points. Evastine Wright scored five points. 

New Underwood’s Eli Kelley logged 12 points, while Jaxon Fulton had 11 points. Cash Albers added 10 points. 

 

Cheyenne-Eagle Butte 75, Timber Lake 56 

TIMBER LAKE — Four players scored in double figures to pace Cheyenne-Eagle Butte to a boys basketball win on Friday.

CEB’s Damien Clown tossed in 19 points, while Easton Lawrence scored 15 points. Austin Johnson scored 13 points and Dayson Kennedy added 10 points. Levi Elk Nation and Nehemiah Veaux scored six points apiece.

Timber Lake’s Gracen Hansen and Tristan Dupris scored 17 points apiece. Kanton Hunt added seven points and Cole Ducheneaux had six points.


Castlewood 63, Estelline-Hendricks 19

ESTELLINE — Class B No. 1 Castlewood coasted past Estelline-Hendricks for a boys basketball win on Friday.

Castlewood’s Lane Tvedt posted 13 points, while Luke Baumberger added 12 points. Bryon Laue had eight points and 10 boards. Jamison Keszler added eight points and Brody Bass scored seven points.

Estelline-Hendricks’ Kyler Carlson scored five points. 


Kimball/White Lake 52, Avon 41

AVON — A balanced scoring attack helped Kimball/White Lake pick up a road win over Avon in boys basketball action Friday. 

Blake Leiferman led KWL with 11 points and eight rebounds. Lantz Bass added a game high 19 points and freshman Keaton Christensen also scored 11 points. 

Landon Thury led Avon with 11 points and six rebounds. Trace Pelton added 10 points and Aziah Meyer chipped in with eight points. 


Vermillion 63, Ponca, Neb., 53

VERMILLION — Vermillion outlasted Ponca, Nebraska, for a boys basketball win on Friday.

Vermillion’s Trey Hansen had 20 points, seven assists and six rebounds. Zoan Robinson added 15 points and fie steals. Carter Hansen recorded 11 points and 10 boards. Bryson Skogsberg had eight points. 


Canistota 78, Colman-Egan 59 

COLMAN — Three players scored in double figures as Canistota picked up a boys basketball win on Friday.

Canistota’s Brandon Kjetland posted 26 points and 12 rebounds. Tage Ortman added 26 points, nine assists, six rebounds and four 3-pointers. Brady Scott logged 18 points on six 3-pointers. Levi Schroeder had four points and three rebounds.

Colman-Egan’s Jase Mousel tossed in a game-high 29 points and hit three 3-pointers. Jackson Wright logged 10 points and six rebounds. Jackson Zwart had nine points, five rebounds and four assists. Jack Mousel scored six points. 


Jones County 75, Bennett County 37

MURDO — Four players scored in double-figures as Jones County coasted to a win over Bennett County in boys basketball action Friday.

Cooper Fedderson led the way with 22 points and 12 rebounds. Jett Nix pumped in 17 points and Kaden Kinsley added 16 points. Asa Best had 10 points and Gunnar Whitney led the Coyotes with six assists.

Shooter Frederick hit five 3-pointers and led Bennett County with 17 points. Rush O’Neill chipped in with 10 points for the Warriors. 


Leola-Frederick Area 75, Herreid-Selby Area 40

LEOLA — Leola-Frederick coasted past Herreid-Selby Area for a girls basketball win on Friday.

Leola-Frederick Area’s Ethan Petrich scored 15 points, while Noah Kippley had 11 points. Winston Clark scored eight points. Westyn Thorpe logged seven points and Brayden Sumption added six points. Austin Jenkins and Erik Losure scored five points apiece.

HSA’s Wayde Grage scored 16 points and Trevor Gill added 11 points. 


Chester 57, Centerville 46

CHESTER — Three players scored in double-figures as Chester knocked off Centerville in boys basketball action Friday. 

Layke Wold led the way with 19 points and three steals. Jovi Wolf scored 17 points for the Flyers. Jaxton Opdahl added 12 points and JD Prorok chipped in with five points and six assists. 

Cole Edberg led Centerville with 18 points while Brennan Tople snared six rebounds. 


Howard 81, Arlington 28 

ARLINGTON — Luke Koepsell and Kolt Koepsell logged double-doubles to power Howard to a boys basketball win on Friday.

Luke Koepsell finished with 22 points and 14 rebounds. Kolt Koepsell added 16 points and 22 boards. Austin Severson had 14 points. Colby Claussen added 10 points. Taiden Hoyer scored nine points, while Logan Mentele added eight points. 

Arlington’s Riley Miller scored six points. Brecken Vossler finished with five points. 


Canton 72, Hanson 65 (OT) 

ALEXANDRIA — Canton clipped Hanson in an overtime boys basketball game on Friday.

Canton’s Ryan Kuper finished with 23 points, while Matt Anderson had 15 points. Braxton Mulder logged 13 points.

Hanson’s A.J. Wilber recorded 24 points and eight rebounds. Jayce Slaba logged 22 points, seven rebounds and four assists. Isayah Price scored nine points. 


Dakota Valley 74, Madison 52

NORTH SIOUX CITY — A big night from Jaxson Wingert helped Class A No. 4 Dakota Valley get a win over Madison in boys basketball action Friday. 

Wingert had 26 points and 12 rebounds to power Dakota Valley. Logan Collette added 18 points, five rebounds, five assists and three steals. Luke Bruns chipped in with 13 points, five rebounds, six assists and four steals. 


Dell Rapids 74, Lennox 63

DELL RAPIDS — Dell Rapids outlasted Lennox for a boys basketball win on Friday.

Jack Henry tossed in a game-high 30 points and scored his 1,000th career point. Tad Tjaden added 15 points.

Lennox's Porter Ihnen scored 26 points. 


Mitchell 74, Pierre 50 

PIERRE — Colton Smith and Markus Talley powered Class AA No. 1 Mitchell to a boys basketball win on Friday.

Smith logged 23 points, eight rebounds and five assists. Talley added 20 points and seven assists. Gavin Soukup logged 11 points. Sutton Thompson and Gavin Hinker scored seven points apiece. Parker Mandel had five points.

Pierre’s Dawson Getz scored 18 points and Luke Olson posted 12 points. Cade Kaiser scored six points. Jett Zabel and Miles Doyle scored five points apiece. Zabel added five rebounds. 


Watertown 67, Huron 56

HURON — Watertown used a 16-9 second quarter to help secure a boys basketball win on Friday.

Watertown’s Dylon Rawdon logged 30 points and four rebounds. Will Engstrom scored 12 points, while Caden Beauchamp added 10 points. Kohen Kranz added eight points. Jake Olson added seven points and six rebounds. 

Huron’s Blake Ellwein tossed in a game-high 32 points and collected five boards. C.J. Gainey had 10 points. Anderson Porisch logged seven points and seven rebounds.
