Gregory 60, Parkston 48 

PARKSTON — Gregory held off Parkston for a boys basketball win on Friday. 


Faulkton Area 56, James Valley Christian 51

FAULKTON — Layne Cotton powered Faulkton Area to a boys basketball win on Friday.

Cotton finished with 36 points, 10 rebounds, three steals and three assists. Gian DiMaria had 12 points on four 3-pointers. 

JVC’s Jerrad Wallman had 20 points. Isaac Korell recorded 15 points and eight rebounds. Dax Frandsen finished with eight points and five rebounds. Davis Chase posted five points and 11 rebounds. 


Bon Homme 46, Avon 45

AVON — Three players scored in double-figures as Bon Homme escaped with a win over Avon in boys basketball action Friday. 

Landon Bares paced Bon Homme with 15 points and six rebounds. Jace Toupal added 13 points and six rebounds. Chapin Cooper chipped in with 11 points and five rebounds for the Cavaliers. 

Landon Thury led Avon with 23 points and eight rebounds. 


Castlewood 49, Dawson-Boyd, Minn., 46

CASTLEWOOD — Class B No. 2 Castlewood clipped Dawson-Boyd, Minnesota, for a boys basketball win on Friday.

Castlewood’s Lane Tvedt finished with 21 points and hit five 3-pointers. Bryon Laue added nine points and 12 rebounds. Jamison Keszler recorded nine points. Luke Baumberger scored eight points.

Bryson Boike had 18 points and 11 rebounds for Dawson-Boyd. 


Viborg-Hurley 75, Freeman Academy-Marion 34

MARION — Three players scored in double figures to pace Class B No. 1 Viborg-Hurley to a boys basketball win on Friday.

Nick Hanson led the Cougars with 18 points and 15 rebounds. Braydyn Morrison finished with 12 points on four 3-pointers. Jake Austin scored 10 points. Bryson Morrison scored nine points on three 3-pointers. Rafe Goettertz scored nine points on three 3-pointers. Nolan Kolthoff finished with five points, seven rebounds and seven assists. Devin Sayler and Brenner Gerdes scored five points apiece. 


Canton 65, Canistota 50

CANISTOTA — Canton pulled away from Canistota for a boys basketball win on Friday.

Canton’s Dagim Mesfin recorded 31 points, seven 3-pointers and six rebounds. Matt Anderson had 16 points and six rebounds. Braxton Mulder and Julius Moore had nine points apiece. 

Canistota’s Tage Ortman finished with 32 points, seven rebounds, six assists, four blocked shots and four 3-pointers. Ortman also scored his 1,000th career point. Brandon Kjetland had 16 points and 10 rebounds.  


Chamberlain 58, Mount Vernon/Plankinton 49  

MOUNT VERNON — Chamberlain held off Mount Vernon/Plankinton for a boys basketball win on Friday. 

MVP’s Zach Baker scored 15 points, while Dylan Rihanek scored 13 points and grabbed eight rebounds. Tyce Feisnter added 12 points. Blaine Bohr had eight points.

Chamberlain stats were not reported. 


Pine Ridge 76, St. Stephens 53

PINE RIDGE — Class A No. 4 Pine Ridge pulled away from St. Stephens, Wyoming, for a boys basketball win on Friday.

Jaylin Rouillard and Kanye Hollow Horn scored 15 points apiece. Anthony Steele scored 14 points and Marvin Richard III added 11 points. 

Cadyn Lone Dog scored a game-high 21 points for St. Stephens.

 

Hitchcock-Tulare 61, Sunshine Bible Academy 49 

MILLER — Three players scored in double figures to pace Hitchcock-Tulare to a boys basketball win on Friday.

HT’s Jackson Maynard finished with 18 points, while Erik Salmen had 15 points and three rebounds. Patrick Maynard added 14 points and seven rebounds. Deegan Moes had five points. Brendan Nowell had four points and six assists. 

SBA’s Trey Thieman had 16 points, eight rebounds and four 3-pointers. Owan Watson recorded 11 points and seven rebounds. Dominic Kalacinski had eight points. River Jones had six assists and three points. 

 

Britton-Hecla 64, Langford Area 38

BRITTON — Three players scored in double figures to pace Britton-Hecla to a boys basketball win on Friday.

Dawson Treeby had 23 points and three 3-pointers. Ty Fagerland had 17 points and three 3-pointers. Daniel Person posted 10 points and Jaxon Zuehlke scored six points.

Langford Area’s Rennan Bruns had 18 points and four 3-pointers. Skyler Godel scored seven points and Jacob Samson had six points. Kalen Godel scored five points. 

 

Brandon Valley 63, Rapid City Central 29 

RAPID CITY — Brandon Valley coasted past Rapid City Central for a boys basketball win on Friday.

Brandon Valley’s Landon Dulaney recorded 19 points and five rebounds. Hayden Anderson had 12 points and seven rebounds. Briggs Knutson had seven points. Josh Olthoff and Mach Mayen scored six points apiece. Aiden Zerr added five points and four assists.

For RC Central, Colton Carlson had nine points and four rebounds. Jackson Miller had seven points, while Jett Janvrin posted five points. 


Sioux Falls Christian 90, Sioux Falls Jefferson 62

SIOUX FALLS — Four players scored in double figures to power Class A No. 1 Sioux Falls Christian to a boys basketball win on Friday.

Christian’s Griffen Goodbary recorded 24 points and six rebounds. Britton Mulder had 15 points and three 3-pointers. Cooper Goodbary added 13 points, while Brant Wassenaar had 12 points. Cole Snyder, Carson Nickles and Bennett Wassenaar scored six points apiece. Jude VanDonkersgoed logged five points and eight boards. 

For Jefferson, Damaris Fields finished with 17 points and three 3-pointers. Dawson Sechser had 12 points. Tyler Bohannon had 11 points and three 3-pointers. Mason Payne posted eight points, seven rebounds and four assists. Eddie Whiting had six points and five rebounds.
