MISSION — Lakota Tech held off Todd County for a boys basketball victory on Thursday. 


White River 74, Wall 44 

WALL — Class B No. 2 White River pulled away from Wall for a 30-point boys basketball win on Thursday.

Joe Sayler poured in 25 points and hit four 3-pointers. Nic Marshall recorded 19 points, while Logan Wright scored 13 points. T.J. Beardt scored eight points and Teagen Bouman scored five points. 


De Smet 80, Elkton-Lake Benton 62 

ELKTON — Damon Wilkson logged another monster double-double to power Class B No. 3 De Smet to a boys basketball win on Thursday.

Wilkinson recorded 37 points, 17 rebounds and scored his 1,000th career point. Kasen Janssen and Kadyn Fast scored 12 points apiece. Janssen dished out six assists. George Jensen posted 10 points and six assists. 

Elkton-Lake Benton’s Ryan Krog recorded 26 points, six rebounds and four 3-pointers. Anthony Even finished with eight points, while Carson Griffith added seven points. Tanner Stein tallied six points and five rebounds. Quinten Poindexter and Colt Beck scored five points apiece. 


Aberdeen Christian 63, Northwestern 49 

MELLETTE — Three players scored in double figures as Class B No. 1 Aberdeen Christian pulled past Northwestern for a boys basketball win on Thursday. 

Jackson Isakson and Ethan Russell scored 19 points apiece. Isakson added five rebounds and three 3-pointers. Malek Wieker added 10 points and nine rebounds. Kaden Clark scored six points. 

Northwestern’s Lincoln Woodring finished with 19 points and three 3-pointers. Quintin Fischbach scored 11 points, while Jude Ortmeier added nine points and five rebounds. Chase Neiber logged six points, five rebounds and four assists. 


Lower Brule 70, Wessington Springs 62

WESSINGTON SPRINGS — Class B No. 4 Lower Brule held off Wessington Springs for a boys basketball win on Thursday. 

Lower Brule’s Brian LaRoche Jr., scored a game-high 35 points and collected five rebounds. Ellwyn Langdeau added 15 points and five rebounds. Lane Gray recorded nine points. Tayshawn Battese grabbed 10 rebounds and scored four points. 

Wessington Springs’ Blake Larson logged 27 points, five assists and four rebounds. Ryder Michalek added 20 points, eight rebounds and four assists. Colby Flowers added eight points, while Parker Graff scored five points. Brock Krueger logged eight rebounds and five assists. 


Mount Vernon/Plankinton 74, Hanson 61

ALEXANDRIA — Five players scored in double figures to pace Mount Vernon/Plankinton to a boys basketball win on Thursday. 

Reed Rus finished with 21 points, while Zach Baker recorded 14 points. Mason Hetland and Blaine Bohr scored 11 points apiece. Jordan Stoltz scored 10 points. 

Hanson’s Ethan Cheeseman tossed in a game-high 22 points. Jayce Slaba added 21 points and four assists. Ben Wilber scored nine points. 


Dakota Valley 80, Elk Point-Jefferson 63 

ELK POINT — Isaac Bruns poured in a school-record 46 points to power Class A No. 1 Dakota Valley to a boys basketball win on Thursday.

Bruns finished 17 of 27 from the field, 9 of 12 at the free-throw line and hit three 3-pointers. He added five rebounds. Jaxon Hennies logged 11 points. Jaxson Wingert recorded 10 points. Randy Rosenquist Jr., stuffed the stat sheet with nine points, 10 rebounds, 12 assists and seven steals. 

Elk Point-Jefferson’s Easton Kempf recorded 25 points, four rebounds and three 3-pointers. Garrett Merkley added 11 points. Devon Schmitz and Evan Fornia scored nine points apiece. 

 

Lyman 52, Gregory 37 

PRESHO --- Three players scored in double figures to lift Lyman to a boys basketball win on Thursday. 
Lyman's Cooper Long recorded 26 points and seven rebounds. Ryker Choal added 10 points and six rebounds. Damian Abrahamson scored 11 points and collected five rebounds. Teagan Gourneau added six rebounds, four steals and three points. 

 

Waubay-Summit 60, Florence-Henry 43

SUMMIT — Waubay-Summit pulled away from Florence-Henry for a boys basketball win on Thursday. 

Damon Opdahl led Waubay-Summit with 25 points and seven rebounds. Jackson Wohlleber finished with 17 points, while Jonathan Johnston scored nine points and grabbed six rebounds. 

Florence-Henry stats were not reported. 


Scotland 39, Corsica-Stickney 37

SCOTLAND — Scotland clipped Corsica-Stickney for a boys basketball win on Thursday.

Scotland’s Stephen Johnson scored 13 points, while Ashton Dennis netted 10 points. 

Corsica-Stickney’s Shad Bosma and Lucas Krogstad scored eight points apiece. Sacha Bemurat added seven points. 


Estelline/Hendricks 64, Colman-Egan 30 

COLMAN — Estelline/Hendricks pulled away from Colman-Egan for a boys basketball win on Thursday.

Estelline/Hendricks’ Joseph McAninch recorded 17 points, while Braxton Saathoff added 11 points and five rebounds. Braxton Pravecek put in eight points and grabbed six rebounds. Mattix Hausman had eight points, while  Matthew McAninch added six points and five rebounds. Wyat James had six points and seven rebounds. 

Colman-Egan’s Jase Mousel finished with nine points and six rebounds. Jackson Ewart added seven points and six rebounds. Sawyer Uhing and Ben Ewart scored six points apiece. 


Warner 51, Leola/Frederick Area 47 (OT) 

FREDERICK — Warner edged Leola/Frederick Area in boys basketball action on Thursday.

Leola/Frederick Area’s Noah Kippley recorded 22 points, while Sam Vetter added nine points.

Warner stats were not reported. 


Sioux Valley 86, Flandreau 31

FLANDREAU — Class A No. 2 Sioux Valley coasted to a boys basketball win over Flandreau on Thursday. 

Sioux Valley’s Oliver Vincent recorded a game-high 27 points, while Alec Squires scored 19 points. 

Flandreau’s Luke Sheppard scored 10 points. 


Faulkton Area 76, Sunshine Bible Academy 33

MILLER — Layne Cotton logged a double-double to pace Faulkton Area to a boys basketball win over Sunshine Bible Academy on Thursday.

Cotton recorded 26 points, 11 rebounds, eight steals and five assists. Roman DiMaria added 18 points, while Spencer Melius had eight points. Charlie Deiter logged seven points and Gus Kopecky finished with five points. 

SBA’s Nolan Triebwasser finished with 13 points. Daniel Gerbracht recorded seven points and River Jones scored five points. 


Dell Rapids St. Mary 82, Iroquois/Lake Preston 58 

DELL RAPIDS — Four players scored in double figures to pace Dell Rapids St. Mary to a boys basketball win over Iroquois/Lake Preston on Thursday.

Dell Rapids St. Mary’s Nic Gaspar recorded 27 points, while Trevon Beckman added 21 points. Maverick LeBrun scored 15 points and Trimmier Hanso had 13 points. 

Iroquois/Lake Preston’s Logan Peskey scored 19 points and Tobias Arbeiter added 16 points. 


Dell Rapids 75, Tri-Valley 44

COLTON — Brayden Pankonen and Jack Henry combined to score 46 points to pace Dell Rapids to a boys basketball win on Thursday.

Pankonen scored 26 points, while Henry scored 20 points. 

Tri-Valley’s Brayden Oyen scored eight points. 


Tea Area 59, West Central 49

HARTFORD — Tea Area held off West Central for a boys basketball win on Thursday.

Tea Area’s Reis Kirschenman tossed in 17 points, while Blake Thompson added 11 points. Sam Almas scored 10 points. 

West Central’s Carter Schmeichel scored nine points and dished out three assists. Connor Eich and Trevin Price scored seven points apiece. Owen Heath and Dylan Stromer scored six points apiece. Brodie Herr collected five rebounds. 


Beresford 57, Madison 46

MADISON — Beresford held off Madison for a boys basketball win on Thursday. 

Beresford’s Tate VanOtterloo finished with 13 points, nine rebounds, five assists and four steals. Jake Goblirsch recorded 11 points, while Andrew Atwood posted nine points and six rebounds. Aidan Hamm added seven points and 10 rebounds. 

Madison’s Aiden Jensen posted 17 points and eight rebounds. Andrew Comes tossed in 14 points. Ben Brooks recorded six points, while Charles Callahan had five points and four rebounds. 


Yankton 56, Pierre 51

YANKTON — Yankton outlasted Class AA No. 5 Pierre for a boys basketball win on Thursday. 

Drew Ryken recorded 26 points and hit six 3-pointers. Cody Oswald added 19 points, while Rugby Ryken finished with eight points. 

Pierre’s Jackson Edman had 15 points and 10 rebounds. Carson Ahartz added 10 points, while Lincoln Kienholz scored nine points. Benjamin Heisler scored six points and Brecken Krueger added five points. 


Sioux Falls Lincoln 71, Brookings 44

SIOUX FALLS — Three players scored in double figures to pace Class AA No. 2 Sioux Falls Lincoln to a boys basketball win over Brookings on Thursday. 

Lincoln’s Elliot Whitney scored a game-high 18 points, while J.T. Rock added 13 points and nine rebounds. Tate Schafer had 11 points and hit three 3-pointers. Jack Hilgenberg logged nine points and Braxton Mohr scored eight points. 

Brookings’ Austin Clark finished with nine points, six rebounds and three 3-pointers. Sam Conrad recorded seven points, while Nathan Lease scored six points.
