Rapid City Christian 57, Rapid City Stevens 46

RAPID CITY — Peyton Glenn and Henry Koppmann combined for 35 points to pace Rapid City Christian to a boys basketball win on Saturday.

Glenn finished with 21 points and Koppmann added 14 points. Joaquin Petrik and Sully Kieffer scored seven points apiece. Hudson Ogle had five points.

For Rapid City Stevens, Seth Paugh scored 21 points and hit four 3-pointers. Anders Christensen scored 10 points. Andrew Zimmerman added six points.  

 

Centerville 52, Irene-Wakonda 32

IRENE — Three players scored in double figures to push Centerville over Irene-Wakonda in the Great Plains Conference championship Saturday.

Alec Austin led the Tornadoes with 14 points, Ethan Bobzin added 12 points while Corbin Tople collected 11 points.

For IW, Hayden Hansen tallied 17 points while Brody Johnke netted nine points in the loss.


Miller 71, Kimball/White Lake 36

MILLER — Isaak Hunter powered Miller to a boys basketball win on Saturday.

Hunter poured in 31 points and hit six 3-pointers. Will Resel added 11 points, while Hollis Fawcett and Oliver Fritzsche scored six points apiece. Brecken Anderberg scored five points.

For KWL, Colt Leiferman scored nine points and Keaton Christensen had eight points. Easton Nelson had six points and Jack Suelflow scored five points. 


Aberdeen Christian 60, Mobridge-Pollock 52

MOBRIDGE — Three players scored in double figures to power Class B No. 6 Aberdeen Christian to a boys basketball win on Saturday.

Aberdeen Christian’s Dylan Hofer scored 14 points. Jett Johnson added 13 points and hit three 3-pointers, while Brooks Jett scored 12 points. Luke Kaiser scored eight points and Loyall Smith-Wade had seven points. Charles Eicher scored six points.

For Mobridge-Pollock, Trueth Crow Ghost and Easton Eisemann scored 12 points apiece. Shooter Frederick and Kale Knudson scored nine points apiece. Kyson Good Shield added eight points. 


Avon 58, Andes Central/Dakota Christian 49

IRENE — Zander Fathke and Dominic Doom powered Avon to a boys basketball win at Saturday’s Great Plains Conference Classic. 

Fathke finished with 22 points and Doom added 14 points.

For ACDC, Samuel Rouse scored 19 points and Edward Ulrich had 15 points. 


Tripp-Delmont/Armour 51, Scotland-Menno 45

IRENE — Tripp-Delmont/Armour topped Scotland-Menno in boys basketball action at Saturday’s Great Plains Conference Classic.

TDA’s Ashton Koster scored 15 points and Baxton Goehring added eight points.

For SM, Izayah Ulmer had 16 points and Erick Buechler scored nine points.


Alcester-Hudson 71, Marty 60

IRENE — Tommy Walth exploded for 34 points as Alcester-Hudson defeated Marty in boys basketball action at Saturday’s Great Plains Conference Classic.

Walth led the Cubs with 34 points in the win while Jacob Cole added 15 points.

Marty’s Tyson Cournoyer tallied 15 points, David Arrow III had 12 points while Steven Peters III collected 11 points in the loss.


Gayville-Volin 54, Corsica-Stickney 41

IRENE — Gayville-Volin clipped Corsica-Stickney in boys basketball action at Saturday’s Great Plains Conference Classic.

Preston Karstens led the Raiders with 13 points while Wyatt Mehlhaf added 10 points.

CS’s Jaxson Feenstra totaled 12 points while Jett Kemp added nine points in the loss.


Feb. 21 Girls Basketball Roundup

Brandon Valley 64, Douglas 24

BRANDON — Alyvia Padgett powered Class AA No. 1 Brandon Valley to a girls basketball win on Saturday. 

Padgett tossed in a game-high 25 points, while Ava Kellenberger scored nine points. Gracie Salter scored eight points and London Geiver added six points.

For Douglas, Ryli LaJoie finished with nine points. Emma Blaisure and Kalani St. Andre scored six points apiece. 


Harrisburg 43, Spearfish 33

HARRISBURG — Three players scored in double figures to power Harrisburg to a girls basketball win on Saturday.

Harrisburg’s Allison Flanagan finished with 11 points and 11 rebounds. Lyncoln Tryon added 10 points and Claire McCallum collected 10 rebounds. 

For Spearfish, Kate Scharf scored 12 points.
