Sioux Valley 72, Deuel 22

VOLGA — Kailey Cradduck scored her 1,000th career point as Class A No. 6 Sioux Valley defeated Deuel in Region 2A girls basketball action Tuesday.

Cradduck finished with a game-high 20 points with four rebounds, Liberty Trygstad added 16 points, six assists and five steals, Amari Ward had eight points and three steals, Masey Top totaled eight points and four steals while Miley Keating and Talya Vincent each had six points in the win.

For Deuel, Camdyn Peterreins led with 12 points and eight boards while Alayna Carlson had five points and two steals in the loss.


Lyman 69, Kimball/White Lake 14

PRESHO — Mak Scott and Jordyn Scott powered Class B No. 1 Lyman to a Region 5B girls basketball win on Tuesday.

Mak Scott finished with 22 points, 10 rebounds, five steals and three assists. She also scored her 2,000th career point. Jordyn Scott added 22 points, nine steals, four rebounds and three assists. Bree Smart totaled 12 points, six assists and four rebounds. Kenzie Wagner added seven points, four rebounds, four steals and three assists. Brooke Montgomery had five points and four assists. 

KWL stats were not reported.


Chester 50, Bridgewater-Emery 33

CHESTER — Emmerson Eppard and Jacy Wolf combined for 34 points as Class B No. 5 Chester defeated Bridgewater-Emery in Region 3B action Tuesday.

Eppard led the Flyers with 21 points, eight rebounds and seven steals, Wolf added 13 points while Kaitlyn Hilbelink brought down nine rebounds in the win.

For BE, Oakley Weber had 18 points in the loss.


Belle Fourche 48, Custer 42

CUSTER — Belle Fourche outlasted Custer in Region 8A girls basketball action on Tuesday.

Belle Fourche’s Reagan Hatling totaled 22 points and four 3-pointers. Emma Nehl had 15 points and Denali Larson finished with eight points.

For Custer, Kylee Ellerton finished with 15 points. Rylan Lowe scored 13 points and three 3-pointers. Siena Schultz scored seven points. 


Timber Lake 60, Newell 50

BUFFALO — Kate Biegler and Jaylee Schoelerman powered Timber Lake to a Region 8B girls basketball win on Tuesday.

Biegler finished with 21 points and Schoelerman added 19 points. Kylie Lawrence scored six points.

For Newell, Kendra Johnson totaled 13 points and Rachel Stranberg had 10 points. Kaitlyn Shaykett had nine points, while Bristol Bachman scored six points. Sam High and Evelyn Ahart scored five points apiece. 


Waubay-Summit 58, Leola/Frederick Area 27

WAUBAY — Addison Heinje’s 26-point game guided Class B No. 9 Waubay-Summit to a girls basketball win over Leola/Frederick Area in Region 1B action Tuesday.

Heinje finished with 26 points in the win, Caley Boik added 11 points, while Brynlee Amdahl recorded nine points in the win.

For LFA, Arabella Clark had 13 points while Eden Podoll and Kaitlyn Moeller each had five points in the loss.


McIntosh 59, Dupree 43

LEMMON — Mikki Maher powered McIntosh to a Region 8B girls basketball win on Tuesday.

Maher finished with 26 points and five 3-pointers. Riley Glines had 13 points and Dusti Haugen scored 11 points. Ezmae Oka added seven points

For Dupree, Jaeshawnia Iron Hawk recorded 15 points. Maddlynn Red Bear scored 13 points and Breanna Domingo had 10 points.


Faith 44, Lemmon 39

LEMMON — Faith edged Lemmon in Region 8B girls basketball action on Tuesday.

Faith’s Sawyer Simons scored 10 points. Aspen Senn and Raynee Jones scored six points apiece. Brynlie Price, Cashley King and Whitnie Veit scored five points apiece. 

For Lemmon, Izzie O’Donnell and Kate Schiley scored nine points apiece. Brynn Odenbach had eight points, while Madison Dauwen scored seven points. 


Parkston 65, Alcester-Hudson 31

PARKSTON — Keeara Oakley, Berkley Ziebart and Morgan Maxwell powered Class B No. 4 Parkston to a Region 4B win over Alcester-Hudson Tuesday.

Oakley led the Trojans with 28 points, 11 rebounds, seven steals and four assists, Ziebart added 19 points, seven rebounds, three steals and two assists while Maxwell had 13 points and three rebounds in the win.

For AH, Emily Winquist led with 10 points while Elsie Bovill and Skylar Hongslo each had six points in the loss.


Sanborn Central/Woonsocket 48, Dell Rapids St. Mary’s 39

FORESTBURG — Liz Boschee paced Sanborn Central/Woonsocket to a Region 3B girls basketball win on Tuesday.

Boschee finished with 20 points, while Cami Edwards totaled 11 points. Kali Hofer added eight points and Addison Bartholow had five points.

For St. Mary’s, Maddyn LeBrun had 17 points and Stephanie Geraets totaled seven points. Layla Jo Hanson scored six points, while Harper Werdel scored five points. 


Deubrook Area 50, Wolsey-Wessington 33

WHITE — A balanced scoring attack powered Deubrook Area over Wolsey-Wessington in Region 2B girls basketball action Tuesday.

Mataya Gouws and Peyton Trooien each had 12 points in the win, Carly Engelstad added nine points, Neely Gustad recorded six points while Matte Bauman had five points in the win.

For WW, Raya Toupal and Kendal Uttecht each had eight points while Payton Peterson netted six points in the loss.


Castlewood 56, Iroquois-Lake Preston 35

CASTLEWOOD — Castlewood clipped Iroquois-Lake Preston to advance in Region 2B action Tuesday.

Sophia Kudrna led the Warriors with 15 points, three rebounds and two steals, Ava Ruml recorded a double-double with 10 points and 10 rebounds with three blocks, Cassidy Kirwan recorded nine points and two assists, Claire Horn netted eight points and five assists while Bryn Schooley had five points in the win.

For ILP, Hadlee Holt tallied 112 points and 11 rebounds, Bentlee Holt totaled nine points and six rebounds while Khloe Olson collected five points and three rebounds in the loss.


Ipswich 52, Gettysburg 34

IPSWICH — Marley Guthmiller poured in 23 points as Ipswich defeated Gettysburg in Region 6B girls basketball action Tuesday.

Guthmiler finished with 23 points and seven rebounds in the win, Tristan Geditz added eight points, 11 rebounds and six assists while Brianna Geditz netted eight points, four rebounds and four assists for the Tigers.

For Gettysburg, Finlee Heien led with 12 points, six rebounds and three assists, Peyton Stevens added eight points and 11 boards while Emma Schlachter tallied eight points, eight rebounds and two steals in the loss.


Highmore-Harrold 60, Sully Buttes 31

HIGHMORE — Jada Baloun’s 20-point outing pushed Highmore-Harrold over Sully Buttes in Region 6B girls basketball action Tuesday.

Baloun totaled 20 points and five rebounds in the win, Elle Stagg added 14 points and nine rebounds, Tenley McDonnell recorded nine points and five rebounds while Whitley Baloun poured in seven points for the Pirates.

SB’s stats were not reported.


Corsica-Stickney 68, Andes Central/Dakota Christian 22

CORSICA — Three players scored in double figures to push Corsica-Stickney over Andes Central/Dakota Christian in Region 5B girls basketball action Tuesday.

Sophie DeLange led the Jaguars with 18 points, Haydnn Johnson added 17 points and eight rebounds, Braylee Bordewyk recorded 17 points, eight rebounds, seven assists and eight steals while Remi Nelson netted four assists and three steals in the win.

For ACDC, Halle Olson, Audrey DeHaan and Makayla Jones each had six points in the loss.


McCook Central/Montrose 53, Parker/Marion 35

SALEM — Two players scored in double figures to push McCook Central/Montrose over Parker/Marion in Region 5A girls basketball Tuesday.

Ella DeKnikker led the Fighting Cougars with 18 points, six assists and four steals, Mya Morrison added 12 points and seven rebounds, Nora Gordon tallied six points and five rebounds, Brooke Heumiller added seven points while Natalie Lueth totaled five points, six rebounds and five assists in the win.

For Parker/Marion, Karley Luke added 10 points and three rebounds, Mya Beyer netted nine points, four boards, three assists and three steals while Claire Donlan and Maliyah Nankivel each had six points in the loss.


Centerville 58, Tripp-Delmont/Armour 46

CENTERVILLE — Izzie Eide and Peyton Hansen combined for 40 points as Class B No. 6 Centerville defeated Tripp-Delmont/Armour in Region 4B girls basketball Tuesday.

Eide led the Tornadoes with 21 points and nine rebounds, Hansen added 19 points and six rebounds, Brea Austin collected 11 points and five assists while Lydia Austin and Tessa Eide each had three steals in the win.

For TDA, Kinley Spaans led with 18 points and eight rebounds, Sara Bertram recorded nine points, Mia Reiner added eight points, six assists and five boards while Belle Hotchkiss netted six points and four rebounds in the loss.


Hanson 33, Bon Homme 26

ALEXANDRIA — Hanson clipped Bon Homme in Region 5A girls basketball action Tuesday.

Ava Doyle led the Beaverettes with 15 points, Kendra Endorf added eight points while Hannah Easton brought down 10 boards in the win.

For BH, Taycee Ranek had 14 points and 10 rebounds while Olivia Kaul added six points and eight rebounds in the loss.


Flandreau 56, Baltic 33

FLANDREAU — Morgan Sheppard’s 25-point game powered Flandreau over Baltic in Region 3A girls basketball Tuesday.

Sheppard finished with 25 points and eight rebounds while Addy Hammer added eight points in the win.

For Baltic, Meredith Larson totaled 12 points while Kate Bouman recorded 10 points in the loss.


Cheyenne-Eagle Butte 85, Crow Creek 34

EAGLE BUTTE — Cheyenne-Eagle Butte used a balanced-scoring attack to pick up a Region 6A girls basketball win on Tuesday. The Braves nailed 11 3-pointers. 

CEB’s Pamela Meeter scored 16 points and nailed three 3-pointers. Alisa Eberhard scored 15 points and hit three 3-pointers. Suni Bowman totaled 14 points. Mary ‘Dee Dion scored nine points on three 3-pointers. Aneisha Hayes added nine points. Cadence Bernie totaled eight points and Tommi Chasing Hawk recorded seven points. 

For Crow Creek, Lux Fallis scored 14 points. Justine Dog Eagle had 13 points and three 3-pointers.


Harding County 86, McLaughlin 22

BUFFALO — Four players scored in double figures to power Class B No. 8 Harding County to a Region 8B girls basketball win on Tuesday.

Harding County’s Macey Wendt finished with 15 points, while Maci Wammen added 12 points. Brayden Padden totaled 11 points and five rebounds. Carson Page had 10 points and eight boards. Kamry Padden and Kaylen Padden had eight points apiece. Kamry Padden had six assists and five rebounds, while Kaylen Padden added five boards. Sattyn Wilson scored six points and had four assists.

For McLaughlin,  C’anna Little Eagle and Rylee Free scored six points apiece. 


Northwestern 49, Tiospa Zina 18

MELLETTE — Tara Blachford’s 17-points powered Northwestern to a Region 1B girls basketball win over Tiospa Zina Tuesday.

Blachford finished with 17 points in the win, Ashley Haven added 10 points, Breelyn Satter added nine points while Kyara Ratigan added seven points for the Wildcats.

For TZ, Stevie Marks led with seven points in the loss.


Gregory 64, Lower Brule 52

GREGORY — Asia VanDerWerff and Dani VanDerWerff powered Gregory to a Region 5B girls basketball win on Tuesday.

Asia VanDerWerff totaled 27 points and Dani VanDerWerff added 21 points. Gracie Biggins scored six points.

For Lower Brule, Larayah St. Cloud scored 23 points, while Brilyn LaRoche and Marlee Sazue scored 10 points apiece. 


Vermillion 54, Dakota Valley 32

VERMILLION — Taylor Reuvers powered Vermillion to a Region 4A girls basketball win on Tuesday.

Reuvers totaled 26 points, five assists, four steals and four rebounds. 


Groton Area 45, Britton-Hecla 19

GROTON — Groton Area coasted past Britton-Hecla in Region 1A girls basketball action.

Rylee Dunker led the Tigers with 12 points, four rebounds and four steals. Taryn Traphagen added 10 points. Jaedyn Penning totaled eight points, four rebounds, three assists and three steals. Jerica Locke posted seven points, eight boards, five steals and four assists. 

For BH, Karlie Zuehlke, Maddie Micko and Chellon Pruitt scored five points apiece. 


Clark/Willow Lake 60, Elkton-Lake Benton 30

WILLOW LAKE — Brynn Roehrich and Kamryn Nesheim powered Class A No. 7 Clark/Willow Lake to a Region 2A girls basketball win on Tuesday.

Roehrich finished with 14 points and 16 rebounds, while Nesheim added 13 points. Calla Larson had eight points. Jenny Bevers totaled seven points. Shelby Begeman and Maddie Brenden scored six points apiece. 

For ELB, Charlie Thooft had 16 points. Payton Kuehl recorded five points.

MITCHELL — Three players scored in double figures to power Brandon Valley to a boys basketball win on Tuesday.

BV’s Lincoln McInerney had 15 points, four rebounds and three 3-pointers. Ayuel Deng added 14 points and six boards. Briggs Knutson totaled 13 points. Austin Dowd had six points and six boards. Caelen Christion totaled five points and five rebounds. 

For Mitchell, Colton Smith had 22 points and 12 rebounds. Owen Raml added six points.
