Colome Chaos 11, Winner Demons 4

COLOME — Colome pounded out 20 hits as the Chaos ran past Winner in Pony Hills League action on Thursday.

Kevin Carter led the Chaos with four RBIs on three hits, Carter Brickman and Shea Connot each had three hits and an RBI, including a homer by Connot, Joey Cole added two RBIs on two hits, Carter Dye had two hits, including a solo homer, while Kevin Keiser and Joseph Laprath each had an RBI on one hit in the win.

Cole earned the win on the mound in seven innings pitched, allowing two runs on six hits and three walks, striking out 13.

For Winner, Evan Farner suffered the loss in seven innings of work, allowing nine runs on 17 hits, striking out eight.

Kayleb Brozik had two RBIs on two hits, Zach Bohnet added two hits and an RBI, Jack Peters collected an RBI on one hit, Pierce Nelson added three hits while Parker Bailey totaled two hits in the loss.


Hartford/Humboldt Wood Ducks 12, Flandreau Cardinals 3

FLANDREAU — Hartford/Humboldt pounded out 12 hits as the Wood Ducks rolled over Flandreau for a Cornbelt League win on Thursday.

Braden Herr led the Wood Ducks with three doubles and an RBI, Logan Larsen and Jearl Jesson each had two hits and an RBI, including a double and a solo homer by Jesson, CJ Den Boer and Keaton Vessells collected two RBIs on one hit while Curtis Flint, Ben Honkomp and Loren Jacobson each had an RBI in the win.

Drew Eldeen took the win on the mound in six innings of work, allowing one run on five hits, striking out eight.

For Flandreau, Curt Anderson took the loss in three innings of work, allowing seven runs on six hits and a walk, striking out two.

Keith Cutler had two RBIs on two hits while Luke Gassman added two hits in the loss.


Tabor Bluebirds 10, Wynot (Neb.) Expos 4

TABOR — An eight-run first inning powered Tabor over Wynot in South Central League action on Thursday.

Riley Rothschadl and Logan Schmidt led the Bluebirds each with three RBIs on two hits, including two doubles by Schmidt and a home run from Rothschadl. Easton Mudder had two RBIs on a double and a walk, Matt Brown had two hits and an RBI while Jace Toupal and Hunter Hallock both tallied two hits in the win.

Landon Bares earned the win on the mound in five innings of work, allowing four runs on five hits and two walks, striking out four.

For Wynot, Landon Wieseler took the loss in six innings of work, allowing 10 runs on 12 hits and three walks, striking out six.

Dylan Heine had three hits and an RBI, Peyton Wieseler added two RBIs, Landon Wieseler had two hits while Nolan Janssen had two doubles and an RBI in the loss.


Alexandria Angels 7, Parkston Mudcats 2

PARKSTON — Ben Wilber, Jackson Jarding and Pierce Smith smacked home runs to power Alexandria to a Sunshine League amateur baseball win Thursday.

Wilber finished 2-for-4, hit two home runs and drove in three runs. Smith added a two-run homer and Jarding belted a solo homer. Tyson Gau, Jordan Gau and Esten Schlimgen each had two hits. Jerrod Zens had a hit. Dakota Munger struck out four batters, allowed two earned runs, two walked and allowed five hits in six innings. 

For the Parkston Mudcats, Jeff Harris and Brady Albrecht had two hits apiece. Harris drove in a run. Miles Doyle struck out seven batters, allowed 11 hits, six earned runs and walked six batters in six innings. 


Hartford/Humboldt Gamecocks 6, Madison Broncos 5

HUMBOLDT — JD Kirchner and Jonah Rechtenbaugh struck out 16 batters as Hartford/Humboldt hung on for a Cornbelt League win over Madison on Thursday.

Kirchner tossed six innings on the mound for the Gamecocks, allowing four runs on six hits and two walks, striking out 10. Rechtenbaugh allowed just one unearned run on four hits and a walk in three innings, adding six strikeouts as well.

Devon Garry had three RBIs on two hits, including a homer, Cam Quigley tallied two RBIs on two hits and a walk, Broc Haldeman added two hits while Noah Vettrus collected an RBI on a hit and a walk in the win.

For Madison, Aspen Dahl allowed three runs on five hits and a walk in four innings pitched, striking out seven.

Dawson Bakker had four hits and two RBIs, including two doubles and a homer, Heith Williams tallied two hits, a walk and an RBI while Ian Barker had an RBI on one hit in the loss.


Larchwood (Iowa) Diamonds 20, Lennox Bandits 6 (7 innings) 

LENNOX — Larchwood racked up 12 hits en route to a StateLine amateur baseball win on Thursday.

Larchwood’s Micah Linn finished 2-for-4, hit a homer and drove in six runs. Mason Ves Meer finished 4-for-6 and drove in two runs. Zach Vanbeek finished 3-for-4 and drove in three runs. Jacob Kindhart drove in two runs. Spencer Ver Meet struck out 10 batters, allowed four hits, five earned runs and walked seven batters in 6.1 innings. 

For Lennox, Nick Zabel and Justin Underwood drove in two runs apiece. Cody Thompson struck out three batters, allowed two hits, two earned runs and walked two batters in three innings. 


Lesterville Broncs 19, Crofton (Neb.) Bluejays 16

LESTERVILLE — Tyler Edler and Michael Drotzmann smack three homers and drove in nine runs as Lesterville outlasted Crofton for a South Central League win on Thursday.

Edler batted 5-for-6 with two doubles, a homer, and five RBIs, Drotzmann added four RBIs on two home runs, Owen Wishon collected four hits, two doubles, and five RBIs, Brady Bierma added two hits and an RBI, Garret Damico tallied two RBIs on a hit and a walk while Hunter Martin totaled an RBI on one hit in the win.

Dawson Bietz earned the win on the mound in four innings pitched, allowing four runs on three hits and a walk, striking out two.

For Crofton, Brayden Hegge took the loss in 3.1 innings, allowing nine runs on eight hits and a walk.

Seth Wiebelhaus had five RBIs on two homers, James Kaiser had four RBIs on two hits, including a homer, Colton Schieffer tallied three RBIs on a homer and two walks, Austin Gobel had two RBIs on two hits and a walk while Zach Hegge had two hits and a walk in the loss.


Canova Gang 15, Salem Cubs 2 (7 innings)

CANOVA — Riley Genzlinger drove in four runs as Canova picked up a Cornbelt League amateur baseball win on Thursday.

Genzlinger finished 2-for-3 and scored three runs. Jared Miller knocked in three runs, while Jack Neises knocked in two runs on two hits. Kendall Gassman had three of Canova’s 17 hits. Jackson Remmers and Tyler Genzlinger each had three hits. Jared Miller struck out six batters, allowed one hits, zero runs and walked one batter in four innings. 

For Salem, Cody Lofswold finished 2-for-3 at the plate. Cole Cheeseman, Jacob Vonberge, Kyle Tuschen and Owen Alley each had hits. 


Elk Point Colt 45’s 16, Parker Ringnecks 1 (5 innings)

ELK POINT — Aiden Bobzin drove in four runs as Elk Point rolled Parker for a State Line League win on Thursday.

Bobzin batted 2-for-3 with a triple and four RBIs, Kael Garry added three hits and two RBIs, Hunter Geary totaled three RBIs on two hits, Kayden Moore totaled two hits and an RBI while Keaton Gale and Collin Lefeber each had an RBI on one hit in the win.

Garry tossed four innings in the win, allowing one run on three hits and one walk, striking out eight.

For Parker, Seth Thennis allowed nine runs on eight hits and a walk in 3.1 innings, striking out five.

Zach Schrank had two hits and an RBI in the loss.


Kimball/White Lake Nationals 12, Four Corners 0 (7 innings) 

WHITE LAKE — Kimball/White Lake erupted for a 10-run first inning en route to a Pony Hills League amateur baseball win on Thursday. 

Trent Wookey, Cooper Leiferman, Keaton Christensen and Caleb Crist drove in two runs apiece. Jaxon Christensen and Eathen Gaulke had two hits and an RBI apiece. Caden Lenz drove in a run. Mitchell Price struck out nine batters, allowing just two hits in five shutout innings.

For 4C, Johnathon Neuharth took the loss, allowing nine runs on five hits and four walks.

Andrew Coverdale, Garret Stout and Sam Hand each had a hit in the loss.


Dell Rapids PBR 15, Baltic River Dawgs 0 (5 innings)

BALTIC — Jake Brandenburg drove in four runs as Dell Rapids PBR blanked Baltic in Cornbelt League action on Thursday.

Brandenburg batted 2-for-2 with a walk and a homer, totaling four RBIs in the win, Zack Puetz tallied three RBIs on two hits and a walk, including a homer, Chris Kropuenske and Grant Sweeter each had two RBIs on one hit while Riley Hoffman, Conner Spindler and Weston Hansen each had an RBI in the win.

Trey Randel earned the win on the mound in five innings of work, allowing just two hits and a walk, striking out six.

For Baltic, Tate Fuecht took the loss in 2.1 innings, allowing eight runs on five hits and six walks, striking out two.

Cael Swanson and Dalton Garbers each had two hits in the loss.


Yankton Lakers 17, Freeman Blacksox 1 (6 innings)

YANKTON — Tristan Fitzsimmons and Matthew Sheldon each had four RBIs as Yankton rolled to a South Central League win over Freeman on Thursday.

Fitzsimmons and Sheldon each had four RBIs on grand slams in the win, Will Rauch had two hits and an RBI, Waylon McKnight added two RBIs, Lucas Kampshoff tallied two hits and two RBIs while Rugby Ryken, Easton Nelson and Mac Ryken each had an RBI on one hit in the win.

Cade Sudbeck took the win on the mound in four shutout innings of work, allowing just two hits while striking out eight.

For Freeman, Trey Ortman took the loss in four innings of work, allowing 10 runs on seven hits and seven walks, striking out three.

Jackson Fiegen tallied an RBI-double in the loss for the Blacksox.

 

Menno Mad Frogs 14, Irene Cardinals 11

MENNO — Menno outlasted Irene for a South Central League win on Thursday.

Connor Merriam led the Mad Frogs with two RBIs on a homer and three walks, Macon Oplinger added two hits, a walk, double and an RBI while Dylan Lehr and Nick Ratzloff each had an RBI on one hit in the win.

Oplinger tossed four innings in the win, allowing five runs on seven hits and four walks, striking out two.

For Irene, Dustin Livingston allowed seven runs on three hits and five walks, striking out three in four innings pitched.

Livingston batted 4-for-5 with a double, walk and three RBIs, Garrett Jorgensen and Preston Gall each had two hits, a walk and an RBI, Tucker Martz and Bryant Knodel both had two hits while Elliott Jorgensen tallied an RBI on a walk in the loss.

 

Dell Rapids Mudcats 15, Flandreau Blue Teal 14

DELL RAPIDS — Landon Ruesink’s walk-off RBI-single powered the Dell Rapids Mudcats over the Flandreau Blue Teal in Cornbelt League action on Thursday.

Ruesink batted 4-for-5 with three RBIs in the win, Ty Hoglund added three RBIs on a double, homer and two walks, Reece Arbogast added two RBIs on a hit and a walk, Carter Gullickson recorded an RBI on two hits and two walks while Nolan Burchill had an RBI on a hit and a walk in the win.

Jake Goble tossed three shutout innings to take the win on the mound, allowing two hits and a walk, striking out five.

For Flandreau, Emmot Nathan allowed 12 runs on seven hits and eight walks in 4.1 innings, striking out six.

Mason Riley had three RBIs on three hits, including two doubles, a homer and two walks, Dane Mediger had four hits, a double, walk and an RBI, Kolby Peters collected two RBIs on two hits and a walk, Tash Lunday had three hits and an RBI, Matt Gassman tallied two RBIs on one hit, Nathan had an RBI on two hits and two walks while Tristan Peters had an RBI-walk in the loss.
