De Smet 50, Sioux Valley 44 (OT)

SIOUX FALLS — Class B No. 4 De Smet outlasted Class A No. 3 Sioux Valley for an overtime boys basketball win on Saturday at the Sanford Pentagon Heritage Classic.

De Smet’s George Jensen finished with 18 points and 11 rebounds. Kadyn Fast added 13 points. Britt Carlson recorded 10 points. Tom Aughenbaugh scored six points.

Sioux Valley’s Maverick Nelson scored 13 points. Hudsyn Ruesink had 12 points and five rebounds. Alec Squires posted 10 points and 12 rebounds. Maxwell Engebretson had seven points. 


Lennox 55, Viborg-Hurley 39 

SIOUX FALLS — Three players scored in double figures to pace Lennox to a boys basketball win at the Sanford Pentagon Heritage Classic on Saturday.

Lennox’s Porter Ihnen recorded 24 points, seven rebounds and three assists. Braxton Musser added 12 points and four rebounds. Tate Gerdes recorded 11 points, eight rebounds, five assists and four steals. 

Viborg-Hurley’s Nick Hanson recorded 18 points and 12 rebounds. Devin Sayler recorded six points, while Nolan Kolthoff had six points and six rebounds. 


Winner 64, Cheyenne-Eagle Butte 46

WINNER — Four players scored in double figures to pace Winner to a boys basketball win on Saturday.

Winner’s Aiden Barfuss finished with 20 points and five assists. Ryder Halligan had 14 points, while Carter Craven logged 11 points and seven rebounds. Shawn Hammerbeck posted 10 points and six rebounds. Landon Calhoon had five points. 

CEB’s Dayson Kennedy finished with 16 points. Levi Elk Nation and Easton Lawrence scored 10 points apiece. Lawrence had five rebounds. 


Aberdeen Christian 50, McLaughlin 35 

SIOUX FALLS — Aberdeen Christian built a 16-2 first-quarter lead and picked up a boys basketball win at the Sanford Pentagon Heritage Classic on Saturday.

Aberdeen Christian’s Brooks Jett finished with 17 points, three rebounds and three steals. Jett Johnson posted 15 points and 10 rebounds. Konnar Furman finished with eight points, four rebounds and three assists. Becker Bosma added seven points, five rebounds, five assists and three steals. 

McLaughlin’s Raymin Yellow Earrings recorded 11 points, six rebounds and three steals. Cassidy Demery posted 11 points. 


St. Thomas More 63, Worthington, Minn., 50 

SIOUX FALLS — Three players scored in double figures to pace St. Thomas More to a boys basketball win at the Sanford Pentagon Heritage Classic on Saturday.

STM’s Turner Thompson finished with 18 points and six rebounds. Lee Neugebauer added 17 points and four rebounds. Holden Griswold had 12 points. Peyton Young recorded eight points and five rebounds. 


Flandreau 54, Elkton-Lake Benton 38

FLANDREAU — Paul Parsley and Luke Sheppard combined for 31 points to power Flandreau to a boys basketball win on Saturday.

Parsley recorded 21 points and seven rebounds. Sheppard added 10 points, eight rebounds and five assists. 

ELB’s Colt Beck and Carson Griffith scored 10 points apiece. 


Leola-Frederick Area 64, Jones County 52

HIGHMORE — Leola-Frederick Area picked up a boys basketball win over Jones County on Saturday.

Leola-Frederick Area’s Noah Kippley had 19 points, while Brayden Sumption scored 16 points. Ethan Petrich added nine points.

Jones County’s Kaden Kinsley finished with 22 points and Cooper Feddersen added 14 points. Jett Nix and Jace Nix scored six points apiece. 


Freeman 65, Bon Homme 33

FREEMAN — Three players reached double-figures as Freeman defeated Bon Homme in boys basketball action Saturday. 

David Walter paced Freeman with 13 points, four rebounds, two assists and a steal. Luke Peters scored 13 points and had four rebounds. Tate Sorensen chipped in with 11 points, four rebounds, two assists and a blocked shot. 

Easton Mudder led Bon Homme with eight points. Landon Barnes added six points while Jace Toupal chipped in with five points.


Timber Lake 67, Harding County 56

FAITH — Tristan Dupris powered Timber Lake to a boys basketball win on Saturday.

Dupris tossed in a game-high 28 points, while Cole Ducheneaux had 15 points. Aidan Rough Surface finished with seven points. Kyler Bollinger grabbed seven rebounds.

Harding County’s Cohen Smith scored 17 points, while Payton Dvorak had 11 points. Evan Meyer scored nine points. Nayati Bickerdyke had six points and seven rebounds. 


Sioux Falls O’Gorman 60, Rapid City Central 38

RAPID CITY — Three players scored in double figures as Sioux Falls O’Gorman topped Rapid City Central for a boys basketball win on Saturday.

O’Gorman’s Hayden Groos and Caleb Terveen scored 13 points apiece. Nyun Dut added 10 points and six boards. Taten Mauney had seven points. Rylan Satter and Henry Theobald recorded five points and five rebounds apiece. 

Rapid City Central’s Isaiah Whiting recorded 21 points and four rebounds. Jet Janvrin scored seven points. Jackson Miller added five points.
