Castlewood 42, De Smet 39

CASTLEWOOD — Class B No. 1 Castlewood clipped Class B No. 2 De Smet in boys basketball action on Tuesday. 

Castlewood’s Kamden Keszler finished with 16 points and five rebounds. Trevor Everson totaled 10 points. Tyson Manley added seven points and Brody Bass scored six points.

For De Smet, Grant Wilkinson finished with 19 points and Noah Luethmers scored 13 points. 


Winner 61, Miller 59 (2OT)

WINNER — Cooper Craven’s 29-point burst powered Winner over Miller in a double overtime thriller Tuesday.

Craven finished with 29 points and four steals, Jalen Tideman added 14 points, Zac Olson recorded eight points while Sam Steele had five points in the win.

For Miller, William Resel had a team-high 28 points, Isaak Hunter had 14 points while Derek Brueggeman netted 11 points in the loss.


Mount Vernon/Plankinton 65, Gregory 58

GREGORY — Tyce Feistner powered Mount Vernon/Plankinton to a boys basketball win on Tuesday.

Feistner tossed in a game-high 30 points. Mason Karst added 11 points. 

For Gregory, Colt Keiser recorded 28 points and 12 boards. Lincoln Juracek added 23 points and seven assists. 


Dupree 63, Timber Lake 60

DUPREE — Dupree edged Timber Lake for a boys basketball win on Tuesday.

Dupree’s Jayden Marshall scored 18 points. Spencer Olsen and Ayden Uses Knife finished with 12 points apiece. Tre White Wolf scored nine points and Cruz Birkeland had eight points.

For Timber Lake, Kanton Hunt finished with a game-high 28 points. Jackson Bigger scored 12 points. Rance Martin and Pete Maher added six points apiece. 

 

Mobridge-Pollock 58, Cheyenne-Eagle Butte 49

MOBRIDGE — Mobridge-Pollock pulled away from Class A No. 10 Cheyenne-Eagle Butte for a boys basketball win on Tuesday.

Mobridge-Pollock’s Shooter Frederick totaled 16 points. Easton Eisemann, Kale Knudson and Kyson Good Shield scored nine points apiece. Jesse Schneider added seven points.

For CEB, Levi Elk Nation totaled 17 points and Damien Clown added 12 points. Nicholas Woods II scored nine points and Nehemiah Veaux scored six points.


New Underwood 71, Philip 54

NEW UNDERWOOD — Four players scored in double figures to power New Underwood to a boys basketball win on Tuesday.

Zach Henriksen scored 19 points, while Blake Beer and Kaleb Myers scored 14 points apiece. Ethan Enos had 12 points. Quinn Aschwege totaled eight points.

For Philip, Jaxon Rhodes had 15 points and Teagan Gropper had 14 points. Weston Reedy added 12 points. 


Hamlin 71, Milbank 42

HAYTI — Class A No. 4 Hamlin rolled past Milbank for a boys basketball win on Tuesday.

Hamlin’s Jackson Wadsworth finished with 22 points and Boden Stevenson scored 17 points. Jack Stormo scored 10 points. Trig Heinrich and Aiden Abraham added seven points apiece. 

For Milbank, Sam Rick had 16 points and Jeter Scoular scored 11 points. 


Vermillion 64, Beresford 34

VERMILLION — Trey Hansen paced Class A No. 7 Vermillion to a boys basketball win on Tuesday.

Hansen finished with 25 points, nine rebounds, five steals and four assists. Luke Jensen added 11 points, while Spencer Blanchette had 10 points. Gabe Larsen totaled nine points and nine rebounds.

For Beresford, Tiegen Nyhaug scored 12 points. Hayden Schilling and Hayden Homandberg scored seven points apiece. 


Groton Area 83, Aberdeen Roncalli 50

GROTON — Four players scored in double figures to power Class A No. 9 Groton Area to a boys basketball win on Tuesday.

Groton Area’s Ryder Johnson finished with 21 points, eight rebounds and four assists. Keegen Tracy had 19 points and three assists. Gage Sippel totaled 16 points and eight rebounds. Karson Zak had 18 points and three rebounds.

For Roncalli, Creighton Fisher totaled 16 points and Jesse Hernandez added 12 points. Austin Fisher scored 12 points and Bryson Olson added six points. 


Howard 59, Irene-Wakonda 41

HOWARD — Four players scored in double figures to power Howard to a boys basketball win on Tuesday.

Howard’s Kolt Becker and Chas Shumaker scored 14 points apiece. Brody Spader had 13 points and Owen Feldhaus added 12 points.

For IW, Christian Putman finished with 12 points and Hayden Hansen added 10 points. Noah Hansen scored seven points. Brody Johnke and Cain Healy scored six points apiece.


Gettysburg 75, Redfield 66

REDFIELD — Boston Brown and Jerand Chase combined for 42 points as Gettysburg defeated Redfield in boys basketball action Tuesday.

Brown led the Battlers with 23 points, Chase added 19 points, while Mason Goebel and Jensen Zweber each had seven points in the win.

For Redfield, Eloi Carnicero had 22 points, Grady Hulscher totaled 20 points, Isaac Banister tallied 11 points while Micah Zastrow had nine points in the loss.


Madison 56, Deubrook Area 52 (OT)

MADISON — Three players scored in double figures to power Madison to an overtime boys basketball win on Tuesday.

Madison’s Henry Veenhof finished with 21 points, three assists and three steals. Shane Veenhof added 11 points and six rebounds. Myles Schneider had 10 points and four rebounds. Nolan Nielsen finished with six points and five boards.

For Deubrook Area, Chance Schoenfeld had 19 points, four steals and four rebounds. Braxton Bednarek totaled 19 points and three 3-pointers. Isaac Gass had seven points. Charlie Olsen recorded five points and five rebounds. 


Chester 55, Parker/Marion 52

CHESTER — Three players scored in double figures to pace Chester to a boys basketball win on Tuesday. 

Chester’s Zach Moyer finished with 16 points, while Teegan Hodne and JD Prorok had 11 points apiece. Carter Vogel scored nine points and grabbed five rebounds. Prorok added 13 rebounds. 

For PM, Jackson Donlan scored 12 points.


Lennox 74, Elk Point-Jefferson 34

ELK POINT — Aiden Hanssen and Tate Gerdes combined for 49 points as Class A No. 6 Lennox took down Elk Point-Jefferson in boys basketball action Tuesday.

Hanssen led the Orioles with 26 points and five rebounds, Gerdes added 23 points and six boards on 11-for-15 shooting.

For EPJ, Aiden Hammitt had 14 points and four rebounds while Anthony Tatro and Ben Trudeau each had five points in the loss.


Britton-Hecla 45, Sisseton 37

SISSETON — Will Richter and Nathan Folkman combined for 28 points as Britton-Hecla knocked off Sisseton in boys basketball action Tuesday.

Richter and Folkman each had 14 points in the win while Ben Folkman added six points as well.

For Sisseton, Derrick Flute had 14 points while Carter Stickland added 13 points in the loss.


Scotland-Menno 53, Avon 50

AVON — Scotland-Menno clipped Avon in boys basketball action Tuesday.

SM’s stats were not reported.

Avon’s Dominic Doom had 16 points, 10 rebounds, two steals and two assists. Zander Fathke had 13 points, five assists and four rebounds while Al’Shamon Gunter added nine points, 16 rebounds and three blocks in the loss.


Estelline-Hendricks 66, Waverly-South Shore 33

ESTELLINE — Three players scored in double figures as Estelline-Hendricks defeated Waverly-South Shore in boys basketball action Tuesday.

Kyler Carlson led the Redhawks with 20 points, seven assists and six steals, Drayden Cokens added 16 points and two steals while Cade Hexem netted 10 points, five assists and three steals in the win.

For WSS, Spencer Ries recorded 18 points in the loss.


Corsica-Stickney 67, Burke 41

CORSICA — Corsica-Stickney rolled past Burke in boys basketball action Tuesday.

Jett Kemp had 17 points in the win, Jaxson Feenstra added 14 points and seven rebounds, Brooks Blom netted nine points while Peyton Denning recorded nine rebounds, five steals and four assists in the win.

For Burke, Brody Indahl had 22 points while Bryson Indahl added nine points in the loss.


Aberdeen Christian 73, North Central 49

 BOWDLE — A balanced scoring output pushed Class B No. 6 Aberdeen Christian over North Central in boys basketball action Tuesday.

Grady Jett and Luke Kaiser each had 11 points, Brooks Jett totaled 12 points, Jett Johnson and Dylan Hofer each had nine points while Raymond Rodriguez-Martinez and Charles Eichler each had eight points in the win.

For NC, Donovan Nelson had 10 points, Kobe Wherry netted 10 points while Seth Hettick scored seven points in the loss.


Wagner 75, Hanson 53

ALEXANDRIA — Three players scored in double figures to power Wagner to a boys basketball win on Tuesday.

Wagner’s Ky Arpan finished with 21 points and 10 rebounds. Jesse Zephier added 14 points and six assists. Carlos Galinado had 12 points and five steals.

For Hanson, Cole Dewald scored 16 points and Radek Jarding added 11 points.
