Parkston 33, Sanborn Central/Woonsocket 30

FORESTBURG — Class B No. 7 Parkston clipped Sanborn Central/Woonsocket for a boys basketball win on Thursday.

Parkston’s Brycen Bruening finished with 13 points and Mason Jervik scored seven points. Sean Deckert had six points. 

For SCW, Eli White recorded 11 points and seven rebounds. Grant Edwards scored seven points and added four rebounds. Landon Jensen added five points and five rebounds. McCoy Schulz posted 13 rebounds and four points. 


Groton Area 55, Deuel 24

CLEAR LAKE — A balanced scoring attack powered Class A No. 9 Groton Area over Deuel in boys basketball action Thursday.

Keegen Tracy led the Tigers with 13 points, Karson Zak added 10 points, Ryder Johnson and Gage Sippel each had eight points while Becker Bosma netted five points in the win.

For Deuel, Troy Jenson tallied 16 points while Jaxtin Winter had eight points in the loss.


Centerville 47, Bridgewater-Emery 46

CENTERVILLE — Three players scored in double figures to power Centerville to a boys basketball win on Thursday.

Centerville’s Tucker Martz finished with 14 points and eight rebounds. Corbin Tople posted 13 points. Alec Austin had 12 points and six boards. Logan Ruter totaled six points, three assists and three steals.

For BE, Ben Weber and Holden Wollmann scored 17 points apiece. Jackson Weber had eight points. 


Deubrook Area 59, Arlington 37

WHITE — Three players scored in double figures to pace Class B No. 9 Deubrook Area to a boys basketball win on Thursday.

Deubrook Area’s Isaac Gass had 18 points and Chance Schoenfeld recorded 16 points. Charlie Olsen added 10 points. Carter Schulte totaled eight points.

For Arlington, Jake Burns scored 14 points and Paxton Rheault totaled eight points. Miles Antonen scored seven points.  


De Smet 86, Elkton-Lake Benton 71

DE SMET — Grant Wilkinson and Carter Wilkinson powered Class B No. 1 De Smet to a boys basketball win on Thursday.

Wilkinson finished with 35 points and 15 rebounds. Carter Wilkinson added 27 points and finished 7-of-11 from the 3-point line. He added seven rebounds. Noah Luethmers had 12 points and four rebounds. Slayten Wilkinson and Coy VanRegenmorter scored five points apiece. 


Freeman 65, Alcester-Hudson 41

FREEMAN — Three players scored in double figures to power Class B No. 4 Freeman to a boys basketball win on Thursday. 

Freeman’s David Walter finished with 23 points and eight boards. Luke Peters posted 13 points, seven steals and four assists. Tayden Kerrigan added 11 points, three rebounds and three steals. 

For AH, Jacob Cole scored 16 points and Evan Haak had 11 points. 


Platte-Geddes 66, Scotland-Menno 49

PLATTE — Three players scored in double figures to power Platte-Geddes to a boys basketball win on Thursday. 

PG’s Isaac Leader finished with 23 points and seven rebounds. Jye Bailey added 14 points and seven rebounds. Jameson Leader had 11 points, nine rebounds, three assists and three steals. 

For SM, Izayah Ulmer and Erick Buechler scored 12 points apiece. Hunter Clark and Micah Goehring had eight points apiece. 


Ipswich 54, Waverly-South Shore 51

WAVERLY — Ipswich clipped Waverly-South Shore for a boys basketball win on Thursday.

Ipswich’s Hayden Schlosser finished with 19 points, five 3-pointers and four steals. Jaxon Holt added 16 points and three rebounds. Kyle Hettich had seven points, 11 rebounds and four steals. Shay Knust totaled six points and nine assists. Tate Hogie scored five points.

For WSS, Kyle Kneeland finished with 18 points, six rebounds and four 3-pointers. Spencer Ries added 14 points and eight boards. Martin Mickelson had six points and six boards.


Avon 83, Bon Homme 62

AVON — Three players combined for 69 points as Avon rolled to a boys basketball win over Bon Homme Thursday.

Al’Shamon Gunter had 24 points, 18 rebounds and nine blocks, Zander Fathke added 24 points and 11 assists, Dominic Doom recorded 21 points and four rebounds while Cale Cooper had five points and seven boards in the win.

Iroquois/Lake Preston 61, Dell Rapids St. Mary 47

LAKE PRESTON — Four players scored in double figures to push Iroquois/Lake Preston over Dell Rapids St. Mary in boys basketball action Thursday.

Ervin Carter led the Sharks with 17 points and 11 rebounds, Carter Arbeiter added 12 points, Lucas Peskey had 11 points, seven rebounds and three steals while Rexton Blue totaled 11 points in the win.

For DRSM, Trimmier Hanson had 19 points while Jacob Flemmer added six points in the loss.


Waubay-Summit 53, Warner 42

SUMMIT — A balanced scoring output pushed Waubay-Summit over Warner in boys basketball action Thursday.

Hogan Hlavacek led the Mustangs with 15 points, Jace Wohlleber added 10 points, Evan Aker recorded eight points while Tripp Gaikowski, Newton Campbell and McKoy Pereboom each had six points in the win.

For Warner, Brayden Kroll and Brennan Wolf-Donat each had 10 points, Jesiah Baum tallied nine points while Noah Bakeberg had eight points in the loss.


Vermillion 88, Gayville-Volin 33

VERMILLION — Three players scored in double figures to power Class A No. 7 Vermillion to a boys basketball win on Thursday.

Vermillion’s Trey Hansen finished with 23 points, eight rebounds, five assists and five steals. Gabe Larsen had 15 points, while Luke Jensen added 12 points and seven rebounds.

For GV, Carter Barron scored 11 points and Hunter Wuebben had nine points. 


Sioux Falls Christian 72, Madison 29

MADISON — Three players scored in double figures to power Class A No. 2 Sioux Falls Christian to a boys basketball win on Thursday.

SFC’s Mitchell Hofer finished with 18 points, three rebounds and three 3-pointers. Brant Wassenaar had 14 points, nine rebounds and three assists. Canyon Prins totaled 10 points and three rebounds. Carson Nickles posted nine points and three rebounds. Mason Snyder had seven points. Ryan Dieleman posted five points and four boards.

For Madison, Shane Veenhof totaled eight points and Henry Veenhof scored five points.


Dakota Valley 70, Elk Point-Jefferson 32

NORTH SIOUX CITY — Tatum Sorensen’s 22-point game lifted Dakota Valley over Elk Point-Jefferson in boys basketball action Thursday.

Sorenson finished with 22 points, five rebounds and three assists, Grady Ramos added 14 points and eight rebounds, Aaron Bruns totaled 11 points and three rebounds while Tye DeGeorgia and Luke Anema each had eight points in the win.
