Jones County 75, Dupree 55

MURDO — Four players scored in double figures as Jones County picked up a 20-point boys basketball win on Thursday.

Jones County’s Cooper Feddersen recorded 19 points and 13 rebounds. Kaden Kinsley added 16 points. Jett Nix and Bryer Kinsley scored 10 points apiece. Gunnar Whitney posted eight points, while Jace Nix scored seven points. Asa Best posted five points.

Dupree’s Elijah Brewer netted 19 points. Tre White Wolf added 10 points, while Kingslee Parker posted eight points. Jayden Marshall and Braydon Terveen-Smith scored six points apiece. 


Castlewood 61, Deubrook Area 50 

CASTLEWOOD — Bryon Laue powered Class B No. 2 Castlewood to a boys basketball win on Thursday.

Laue, a 6-foot-9 junior, finished with 31 points and 15 rebounds. Jamison Keszler recorded 10 points. Brody Bass added eight points. Luke Baumberger and Lane Tvedt scored five points apiece.

Deubrook Area’s Gavin Landmark scored 12 points. Jake Jorenby recorded 11 points, while JP Rogness added 10 points. Colton Trooien had eight points and Landon Johnson scored six points. 


De Smet 52, Wolsey-Wessington 38

DE SMET — Class B No. 3 De Smet pulled away from Wolsey-Wessington for a boys basketball win on Thursday.

De Smet’s George Jensen finished with 15 points and eight rebounds. Kadyn Fast added 10 points. Grant Wilkinson recorded eight points and nine rebounds. Trace VanRegenmorter had five points and 11 rebounds. Britt Carlson added five points and five rebounds.

Wolsey-Wessington’s Moshe Richmond logged 15 points and seven rebounds. Caleb Richmond finished with 10 points. Tate French recorded eight points and seven rebounds. Colin Hughes posted five points, while Grant Timm had five boards. 


Centerville 57, Menno 30

CENTERVILLE — Three players scored in double-figures as Centervilled ran past Menno in boys basketball action Thursday. 

Brennan Tople powered Centerville with 15 points, seven rebounds, two assists and two steals. Cole Edberg had a strong outing with 15 points, four rebounds and three assists. Aiden Bobzin chipped in with 11 points, six rebounds and four assists. 

Izayah Ulmer led Menno with 17 points. Erick Buechler and Tate Spencer and five rebounds. 


Potter County 55, Faulkton Area 51

FAULKTON — A balanced scoring attack helped Potter County earn a win over Faulkton Area in Thursday night boys basketball action. 

Ryder Falkenhagen led Potter County with 18 points, 10 rebounds and five steals. Carter Luikens finished with nine points and six rebounds while Chance Smith added eight points. 

Layne Cotton led Faulkton Area with 25 points and 10 rebounds. Charlie Dieter chipped in with 14 points and seven rebounds. 


Tripp-Delmont/Armour 56, Avon 44

AVON — Three players scored in double-figures as Tripp-Delmont/Armour slipped past Avon in boys basketball action Thursday. 

Isaac Wunder finished with 17 points and four rebounds to lead Tripp-Delmont/Armour. Riley Spaans added 15 points and eight rebounds and Mason Reiner chipped in with 12 points. 

Landon Thury led Avon with 17 points and nine rebounds. Aziah Meyer added 11 points and six rebounds for Avon. 


James Valley Christian 72, Arlington 47

ARLINGTON — Three players scored in double figures to pace James Valley Christian to a boys basketball win on Thursday.

JVC’s Jerrad Wallman logged 25 points and seven rebounds. Ethan Bartholow logged 13 points and seven rebounds. Dax Frandsen posted 10 points. Isaac Korell added nine points and seven rebounds.

Arlington’s Riley Miller finished with 12 points, four rebounds and four 3-pointers. Paxton Rheault had 11 points and six rebounds. Kaden Steffensen posted eight points and four rebounds. Miles Antonen added seven points and four rebounds. Blake Madsen recorded four points and nine rebounds. 


Elkton-Lake Benton 67, Estelline-Hendricks 43

ELKTON — Three players scored in double figures to pace Elkton-Lake Benton to a boys basketball win on Thursday.

ELB’s Tanner Drietz finished with 18 points and four rebounds. Carson Griffith posted 16 points and nine rebounds. Eliot Erickson scored 12 points. Tanner Stein had nine points. 

For Estelline-Hendricks, Mattix Hausman scored 14 points and Wyatt James had 10 points. Matthew McNinch had eight points and Caiden Ching scored five points. Kyler Karlson scored five points. 


Clark/Willow Lake 63, Britton-Hecla 35

CLARK — Three players scored in double figures to pace Clark/Willow Lake to a boys basketball win on Thursday.

CWL’s Jack Helkenn had 18 points, seven rebounds, four assists and three 3-pointers. Emmerson Larson posted 14 points, seven rebounds and six steals. Sullivan Fellberg added 10 points and five rebounds. Bo Begeman recorded nine points. Aaron Zemlicka had five points.

Britton-Hecla’s Daniel Person had 11 points and seven rebounds. Jaxon Zuehlke had seven points and seven rebounds. William Richter had five points. 


Howard 68, Dell Rapids St. Mary 60 

HOWARD — Four players scored in double figures to pace Howard to a boys basketball win on Thursday.

Luke Koepsell finished with 18 points, while Kolt Koepsell added 17 points. Colby Claussen had 11 points and Taiden Hoyer scored 10 points. Carson Hinker added five points.

DRSM’s Nic Gaspar logged 18 points, while Maverick LeBrun scored 15 points. Trevon Beckman had 12 points and Trimmier Hanson had 10 points. 


Canistota 71, Oldham-Ramona-Rutland 30 

CANISTOTA — Three players scored in double figures to pace Canistota to a boys basketball win on Thursday.

Canistota’s Tage Ortman finished with 24 points and 10 assists. Brady Scott had 16 points, while Brandon Kjetland added 14 points and 13 rebounds. Levi Schroeder logged six points, seven rebounds, six assists and four steals. Jaden Kleinsasser had eight rebounds and four points.

ORR’s Caden Hojer finished with eight points and seven rebounds. Brayden Hanson logged five points and four rebounds. Boyd Pooler had five points and three rebounds. 

 

Hamlin 85, Deuel 34

HAYTI — Three players scored in double figures to pace Class A No. 2 Hamlin to a boys basketball win on Thursday.

Hamlin’s Tyson Stevenson finished with 20 points, while Easton Neuendorf had 17 points. Jackson Wadsworth posted 16 points. Zac VanMeeteren added nine points. Evan Stormo scored five points.

Deuel’s Trey Maaland and Gabe Sather scored 10 points apiece. Troy Jenson added seven points.
