De Smet 59, Sioux Valley 52

SIOUX FALLS — Grant Wilkinson powered De Smet to a boys basketball win over Sioux Valley at Saturday’s Sanford Pentagon Heritage Classic.

Wilkinson logged 26 points and 12 rebounds. Carter Wilkinson added 11 points, while Slayten Wilkinson and Ganon Henrich scored 10 points apiece. Noah Luethmers collected 10 rebounds.

For Sioux Valley, Maverick Nelson had 20 points, seven rebounds and four 3-pointers. Brady Hiltunen scored 10 points. Carter Sapp scored six points, while Braden Danziesen and Brock Christopherson scored five points apiece. 


Elkton-Lake Benton 68, Great Plains Lutheran 45

ELKTON — Joseph Nibbe and Tanner Drietz combined for 29 points in Elkton-Lake Benton’s victory over Great Plains Lutheran Saturday.

Nibbe finished with 17 points, Drietz tallied 12 points, Tanner Stein and Riley Nordmeyer each had eight points while Blake DeVries cracked six points in the win.

GPL’s Micah Holien had 16 points in the loss, while Brody Scharlemann and William Krenz each had six points as well.


Dakota Valley 63, Deuel 57

MADISON — Three players scored in double figures during Dakota Valley’s victory over Deuel Saturday at the Dak XII-NEC Clash.

Luke Bruns led with 20 points and eight rebounds, Logan Collette recorded 18 points and six rebounds, while Drew Lukken had 10 points and eight boards in the win.

Deuel’s Troy Jensen and Gabe Sather each had 21 points, while Caden Finnesand recorded 10 points in the loss.


Hamlin 53, West Central 48 (2OT)

MADISON — A balanced scoring attack helped Class A No. 2 Hamlin hang on against Class A No. 4 West Central in double overtime Saturday at the Dak XII-NEC Clash.

Easton Neuendorf led the Chargers with 16 points, Zac Van Meeteren and Evan Stormo each had 12 points, while Dawson Noem tallied seven points in the win.

WC’s Connor Mebius tallied a game-high 27 points, Will Kuhl had eight points while Hayden Heier recorded six points in the loss.


Hill City 61, Alcester-Hudson 51

IRENE — Three players scored in double figures during Hill City’s Blizzard Buster Classic victory.

Devin Buehler led the way with 17 points, Dax Frandsen tallied 14 points while Zane Messick had 11 points in the win.

AH’s Jacob Cole tallied 16 points while Evan Brown had 13 points in the loss.


Sioux Falls Christian 71, Clark-Willow Lake 44

MADISON — Class A No. 1 Sioux Falls Christian defeated Class A No. 5 Clark-Willow Lake at Saturday’s Dak XII-NEC Clash.

Cooper Goodbary led the Chargers with 15 points.

CWL’s Bo Begeman had 13 points and nine rebounds, Chris Bevers recorded 11 points and five boards, while Sully Felberg added nine points and four rebounds in the loss.


Milbank 50, Elk Point-Jefferson 30

MADISON — Emmett Hanson powered Milbank to a boys basketball victory at the Dak XII-NEC Clash Saturday.

Hanson finished with 18 points, Sam Rick added 12 points while Ryan Keeton tallied nine points in the win.

EPJ’s Chase Swanson had 17 points for the Huskies while Grayson Girard totaled four points in the loss.


Andes Central-Dakota Christian 55, Sioux Falls Lutheran 27

IRENE — Andes Central Dakota Christian clipped Sioux Falls Lutheran at Saturday’s Blizzard Buster Classic.

Hunter Loeffler tallied nine points while Garth Maas had eight points in the win.

SFL’s Rowen Becker had nine points while Brayden Willie tallied five points in the loss.


Madison 80, Webster Area 40

MADISON — Ben Brooks’ 21-point game lifted Madison to a boys basketball victory at Saturday’s Dak XII-NEC Clash.

Brooks finished with 21 points, five assists and four rebounds, Casyn Crabtree had 10 points, Shane Veenhof totaled 10 points, eight rebounds and four assists, while Myles Schneider and Nolan Nielsen each tallied nine points in the win.

WA’s Ian Lesnar led with 16 points, Blaize Amdahl recorded seven points while Seth Lesnar tallied six points in the loss.


Bennett County 56, Freeman Academy-Marion 41

IRENE — Rush O’Neill’s 20-point game lifted Bennett County to a boys basketball victory over Freeman Academy/Marion Saturday.

O’Neil had 20 points while Caysen Soderlin recorded 13 points in the win.

FAM’s Karter Weber had 13 points while Domani Butler collected 14 points in the loss.


Groton Area 67, Dell Rapids 41

MADISON — Ryder Johnson and Keegen Tracy combined for 37 points in Groton Area’s victory over Dell Rapids at Saturday’s Dak XII-NEC Clash.

Johnson finished with 20 points and seven rebounds while Tracy added 17 points. Becker Bosma also collected 12 points in the win for the Tigers.

DR’s Karson Paye had 11 points and three rebounds, Lincoln Anderson and Jack Kloth each had nine points while Tad Tjaden collected seven points and six boards in the loss.


Omaha Nation (Neb.) 72, Lower Brule 66

MITCHELL — Omaha Nation outlasted Lower Brule for the Dakota Oyate Challenge boys basketball championship on Saturday.

Omaha Nation’s Frank Losley powered Omaha Nation with 24 points and three 3-pointers. Keesan Kaaihue and Dason Romo scored 13 points apiece. 

For Lower Brule, Payton Palmier finished with a team-high 16 points and Elliot LaRoche added 15 points. Jason Thompson and Kristian Antelope scored 10 points apiece. 


Platte-Geddes 55, Beresford 50

IRENE — Braxton Bruekelman’s 19 points powered Platte-Geddes past Beresford during Saturday’s Blizzard Buster Classic.

Bruekelman finished with 19 points, Max Miller tallied 15 points while Isaac Leader had nine points in the win.

Beresford’s Malachi James had 18 points in the loss, Tiegan Nyhaug recorded 15 points while Aiden Hamm tallied eight points in the loss.


Vermillion 67, Sturgis Brown 47

MADISON — Trey and Carter Hansen combined for 42 points as Vermillion topped Sturgis Brown at Saturday’s Dak XII-NEC Clash Saturday.

Trey Hansen led the Tanagers with 25 points and nine rebounds while Carter Hansen added 17 points in the win.

SB’s Teigen Wormstadt led the Scoopers with 14 points, Ryan Heinert had 11 points while Hayden Rock added 10 in the loss.


Sisseton 50, Tri-Valley 44

MADISON — Sisseton used a balanced scoring attack to defeat Tri-Valley at Saturday’s Dak XII-NEC Clash Saturday.

Derrick Flute and Vincent Donnell each had 10 points, Levi Nelson added nine points while Josh Donnell cracked six points in the win.

TV’s Ty Oyen had 12 points, Brady Jewett recorded nine points and four rebounds while Alex Wingen tallied seven points and three rebounds in the loss.


Lennox 57, Aberdeen Roncalli 47

MADISON — Lennox clipped Aberdeen Roncalli during Saturday’s Dak XII-NEC Clash.

Tate Gerdes powered the Orioles scoring attack with 18 points in the win.

AR’s Aiden Fischer and Jesse Hernandez each had 12 points while Sam Franks added nine points in the loss.


Ipswich 46, Highmore-Harrold 34

HIGHMORE — Tucker Kadlec and Jaxon Holt combined for 29 points to pick up a boys basketball win on Saturday.

Kadlec finished with 17 points, six rebounds and three assists. Holt added 12 points on four 3-pointers. Kyle Hettich had seven points and three rebounds. Hayden Schlosser had five points.

For Highmore-Harrold, Caleb Roth scored 17 points and collected six rebounds. Aidan Ferens added eight points and five assists. 


Leola-Frederick Area 54, Irene-Wakonda 44

IRENE — Leola/Frederick Area outlasted Irene-Wakonda for a boys basketball win on Saturday.

Leola/Frederick Area’s Milo Sumption finished with 18 points, while Noah Kippley had 10 points. Ethan Petrich scored nine points and Gavin Nickelson added six points. Westyn Thorpe scored five points.

For IW, Jens Hansen tossed in 23 points. Hayden Hansen added nine points, while Noah Hansen and Wyatt Johnke scored five points apiece. 


Iroquois-Lake Preston 89, James Valley Christian 74

LAKE PRESTON — Lucas Peskey’s 32-point outing lifted Iroquois-Lake Benton to a boys basketball victory over James Valley Christian Saturday.

Peskey finished with 32 points, seven assists and seven steals, Carter Albeiter cracked 19 points and five rebounds, while Peyton Hope netted 14 points in the win.

JVC’s Jerrad Wallman tallied a game-high 36 points in the loss, Huntley Steele added 15 points, while Jayven Van Scharrel had 13 points in the loss for the Vikings.


Sully Buttes 77, Warner 51

ONIDA — Wesley Wittler and Eli Mercer combined for 51 points to power Sully Buttes to a boys basketball win on Saturday.

Wittler tossed in 30 points, while Mercer added 21 points.

Warner stats were not reported.
