Harding County 44, New Underwood 17 

NEW UNDERWOOD — Class B No. 5 Harding County cruised to a girls basketball victory on Saturday.

Kamry Padden finished with 17 points, six rebounds and six steals. Macey Wendt added nine points and four steals. Bailey Verhulst had seven points, four assists and three steals. Kelsi Costello had six points, four rebounds and four steals. 

For New Underwood, Olivia Carmichael scored five points.


Wagner 67, Milbank 37

HURON — Lydia Yost and Ashlyn Koupal combined for 47 points during Wagner’s victory over Milbank Saturday. 

Yost led the Red Raiders with 24 points, seven rebounds, seven assists and three steals, Koupal netted 23 points on 11-for-11 shooting, adding 10 rebounds and five assists, Braxton Nedved tallied 11 points and four assists, while Hayden Knudsen collected seven points in the win.

Milbank’s Tyra Berry had 14 points, Isabella Anderson added seven points, while Anna Neugebauer totaled six points in the loss.


Lyman 63, Wall 49

WALL — Mak Scott and Jordyn Scott powered Class B No. 4 Lyman to a girls basketball win on Saturday.

Mak Scott finished with 31 points, five rebounds, four steals and three assists. Jordyn Scott added 12 points, six assists, four steals and four rebounds. Brooke Montgomery had five points, while Bree Smart and Kenzie Wagner added five points apiece. 

Wall stats were not reported. 


Faulkton 50, Hitchcock-Tulare 43

TULARE — Anika Mueller and Carley Cotton powered Faulkton to a high school girls basketball victory Saturday.

Mueller led the Trojans with 18 points, five rebounds and two steals, Cotton had 17 points, three rebounds and four steals, Brooklyn Mueller tallied eight points, while Presleigh Martinmaas recorded six points and nine rebounds in the win.

HT’s Katelyn Schroeder tallied 21 points, six rebounds and two steals, Emmerie Arthurs had 10 points and four rebounds, while Rebecca Huizenga and Cambree Hoekman each tallied four points in the loss.


Omaha Nation (Neb.) 70, Tiospaye Topa 50

MITCHELL — Dailene Walker and Mikkel Parker powered Omaha Nation to the girls basketball championship at Saturday’s Dakota Oyate Challenge.

Walker finished with 24 points and Parker added 17 points. Parker hit four 3-pointers. Desma Walker scored 15 points.

For Tiospaye Topa, Tyrianna Hawk Bear scored a game-high 26 points. Pamela Meeter added 13 points and Leilani Bowker had six points. Cadence Bernie scored five points. 


Great Plains Lutheran 51, Elkton-Lake Benton 36

ELKTON — Katherine and Madeline Prahl propelled Great Plains Lutheran to a high school girls basketball victory Saturday. Katherine Prahl led with 14 points and six steals, Madeline Prahl totaled 12 points, while Jolie Lien and Esta Cameron each had seven points in the win.

ELB’s Andrea Renkly led the Elks with 12 points, Gella Jones tallied seven points while Payton Kuehl netted six points in the loss.
