Spearfish 48, Sturgis 19 

STURGIS — Jozie Dana and Kate Scharf combined for 31 points to power Spearfish to a girls basketball win on Tuesday.

Dana finished with 19 points and Scharf added 12 points. Avery Kirk scored nine points on three 3-pointers. 

For Sturgis, Braylee Freytag scored five points. 


Highmore-Harrold 44, Hitchcock-Tulare 40 

HIGHMORE — Highmore-Harrold clipped Hitchcock-Tulare for a girls basketball win on Tuesday.

HH’s Autumn Fallis finished with 14 points and four steals, while Tenley McDonnell added eight points. Addison McDonnell scored seven points. Ella Stagg scored five points. Jada Baloun recorded four points and 11 rebounds. 

Hitchcock-Tulare stats were not reported. 


Milbank 50, Sisseton 47

MILBANK — A balanced scoring attack powered Milbank to a girls basketball victory Tuesday.

Isabella Anderson led with 14 points, eight rebounds and three assists, Belle Pauli recorded a double-double with 13 points and 12 rebounds, Tyra Berry had 13 points and four assists while Siera Wenzl cracked six points and three boards in the win.

Sisseton’s Krista Langager tallied 20 points and 11 rebounds, Ruby Rice had 10 points, Tara Nelson recorded seven points, while Kennedy Hanson tallied six points in the loss.


Castlewood 42, Florence-Henry 40

FLORENCE — Castlewood clipped Florence-Henry during Tuesday’s high school girls basketball action.

Sophia Kudrna led the Warriors with 13 points and six rebounds, Cassidy Kirwan added nine points while Ava Ruml tacked on nine points and eight boards in the win.

FH’s Brooke Hlavacek tallied 14 points and five rebounds, Ashlynn Vavruska had nine points and three rebounds while Ashelyn Klitzke tallied seven points and five rebounds in the loss.


Scotland-Menno 45, Canistota 43

SCOTLAND — Trinity Bietz paced Scotland-Menno to a girls basketball victory over Canistota Tuesday.

Bietz finished with 16 points, eight rebounds and six steals, Nora Robb had nine points, three rebounds and three steals, Ellyana Ulmer tallied eight points while Emily Dvorak recorded seven points and four rebounds in the win.

Canistota’s Autumn Hutcheson tallied 14 points, Emma Sandman had 11 points while Allison Leber and Ellie Becker each had nine points in the loss.


Waubay-Summit 55, Estelline-Hendricks 44

SUMMIT — Faith Larson and Liza Purdy combined for 38 points as Waubay-Summit picked up a girls basketball victory Tuesday.

Larson finished with 20 points, Purdy added 18 points. Kayce Berger tallied seven points while Brianna Lindholm had six points in the win.

EH’s Brooke Johnson had 12 points while Danelyn Greene had 11 points in the loss.


Faulkton Area 58, Potter County 40

FAULKTON — Three players scored in double figures during Faulkton Area’s win over Potter County Tuesday.

Anika Mueller tallied 17 points, Presleigh Martinmaas recorded 15 points, seven rebounds, five steals and three assists, while Carley Cotton tallied 10 points and nine rebounds in the win.

PC’s Peyton Stevens had 18 points and four rebounds, Finlee Heien had 11 points and four steals, while Alyssa Kaup recorded six points and four rebounds in the loss.


Lyman 47, Gregory 20

PRESHO — A 20-point game by Mak Scott helped Class B No. 3 Lyman defeat Gregory in Tuesday’s high school girls basketball action.

Scott ended the game with 20 points and eight rebounds, Bree Smart tallied nine points, five assists and three rebounds, Brooke Palmer collected seven points while Jordyn Scott had six points and six steals in the win.

Gregory’s stats were not reported.


Northwestern 37, Webster Area 36

WEBSTER — Northwestern clipped Webster Area in girls basketball action on Tuesday.

Northwestern’s Ashley Haven finished with 10 points, nine rebounds, six blocked shots and four steals. Breelyn Satter added eight points, while Adriana Ratigan had seven points and eight rebounds. Sophia Troske posted six points, while Ella Boekelheide had four points and six rebounds.

For Webster Area, Erin Sannes finished with 11 points and eight rebounds. Bailee Ninke added 10 points, eight rebounds and three steals. Mallory Steiner tallied six points and seven rebounds. Harley Johnson scored five points. 


Vermillion 71, Dakota Valley 63

VERMILLION — Three players scored in double figures as Class A No. 4 Vermillion defeated Class A No. 3 Dakota Valley in girls basketball action on Tuesday.

Vermillion’s Taylor Reuvers recorded 23 points, four rebounds and four assists. Brooke Jensen added 21 points and seven rebounds. Kasey Hanson finished with 17 points and seven rebounds.

For Dakota Valley, Ella Otten had 19 points and eight rebounds. Camryn Sommervold scored 18 points and Aubree Worden added 12 points.


Tripp-Delmont/Armour 48, Irene-Wakonda 37

IRENE — Kinley Spaans and Mia Reiner combined for 37 points in Tripp-Delmont/Armour’s win over Irene-Wakonda Tuesday.

Spaans tallied a double-double with 20 points and 10 rebounds while Reiner had 17 points and eight boards in the win.

IW’s Madison Orr tallied nine points and six rebounds while Emily Oien, Julia Sees, Ava George and Maryn Lyngstad each had five points in the loss.


Sanborn Central-Woonsocket 61, Wagner 44

WAGNER — Four players reach double figures during Class B No. 5 Sanborn Central-Woonsocket’s victory over Wagner Tuesday.

Liz Boschee led the Blackhawks with 19 points and five boards, Cami Edwards added 12 points, Alexa Gortz had 11 points while Addison Bartholow recorded 10 points, four rebounds and three assists in the win.

Wagner’s Ashlyn Koupal tallied a game-high 26 points, seven rebounds and six blocks, Hayden Knudsen had 11 points and five rebounds, while Lydia Yost had seven points in the loss.


Flandreau 64, De Smet 41 

FLANDREAU — Three players scored in double figures to power Flandreau to a girls basketball win on Tuesday.

Flandreau’s Hannah Krull finished with 15 points, 10 rebounds and seven assists. Morgan Sheppard recorded 15 points, 10 rebounds, six assists and five steals. Sadie Iott had 16 points and five assists. 

For De Smet, Hazel Luethmers scored 17 points. 


Hamlin 57, Aberdeen Roncalli 35 

ABERDEEN — Four players scored in double figures to power Class A No. 5 Hamlin to a girls basketball win on Tuesday.

Hamlin’s Addie Steffensen finished with 18 points and Addie Neuendorf scored 14 points. Addie Jensen scored 12 points on four 3-pointers. Jo Steffensen scored 10 points.

For Roncalli, Gabby Thomas finished with 11 points and Rylee Voeller had 10 points. Ava Hanson added six points. 


Ipswich 50, Aberdeen Christian 19

ABERDEEN — Gabby Wald’s 22-point game lifted Ipswich to a girls basketball victory Tuesday.

Wald finished with 22 points and nine steals while Brianna Geditz totaled nine points in the win.

AC’s Jolie Fogarty led the Knights with six points and five rebounds.


Rapid City Christian 57, Belle Fourche 50

RAPID CITY — Rapid City Christian held off Belle Fourche for a girls basketball win on Tuesday.

RCC’s Nora Kieffer scored 13 points, while Brynn Casey and Lydia Williams added nine points apiece. Sadie Marshall and Abby Thomson scored seven points apiece.

Belle Fourche stats were not reported. 


West Central 70, McCook Central/Montrose 43

SALEM — Four players scored in double figures to power West Central to a girls basketball win on Tuesday.

WC’s Ellie Knight finished with 16 points, seven rebounds and three steals. Rayna Goehring had 15 points, while Kacey Jaton added 12 points, six rebounds and five steals. Ayla Kramer totaled 10 points and four rebounds. Emma Voeltz had five points and four rebounds. Mara Schultz logged five points. 

For MCM, Ella DeKnikker recorded 15 points and three steals. Mandi Schock scored eight points and Ashtyn DeKnikker totaled six points. Natalie Lueth had five points and five rebounds. 


Sioux Valley 72, Deuel 27

VOLGA — Amari Ward and Talya Vincent combined for 42 points in Sioux Valley’s victory over Deuel Tuesday.

Ward and Vincent each netted 21 points, adding a combined eight assists, Liberty Trygstad tallied 12 points while Kailey Cradduck recorded nine points and eight rebounds in the win.

Deuel’s Jaycee Hourigan totaled 10 points while Camdyn Peterreins tallied nine points in the loss.


North Central 50, Stanley County 20 

BOWDLE — Amree VanderVorst powered North Central to a girls basketball win on Tuesday.

VanderVorst finished with 27 points and hit four 3-pointers. Ella Batie added 10 points, while Alaina Dosch scored six points. 

For Stanley County, Addy Deal scored seven points and Kaysen Magee added five points. 


Crofton (Neb.) 52, Elk Point-Jefferson 47

ELK POINT — Elk Point-Jefferson fell short against Crofton during Tuesday’s high school girls basketball action.

Bentlee Kollbaum led the Huskies with 15 points and three rebounds, Ashley Brewer had 11 points, seven rebounds and four assists, while Cera Schmitz tallied 10 points in the loss.


Harrisburg 53, Tea Area 45

HARRISBURG — Harrisburg clipped Tea Area for high school girls basketball victory Tuesday.

Brynn VanBockern led with 13 points while Logan Durnil tallied 10 points.

TA’s Anna Binde totaled 20 points in the loss.
