Rapid City Christian 67, Lead-Deadwood 23

LEAD — Rapid City Christian coasted past Lead-Deadwood for a girls basketball win on Thursday.

Rapid City Christian’s Lydia Williams finished with 14 points and Brynn Casey added 10 points. Nora Kieffer and Nia Selfridge scored eight and seven points, respectively. Maddie Kooiman had six points. 

Lead-Deadwood stats were not reported. 


Lyman 61, Philip 41

PHILIP — Three players scored in double figures to power Class B No. 3 Lyman to a girls basketball win on Thursday.

Lyman’s Mak Scott totaled 22 points, 10 rebounds, three assists and three steals. Brooke Palmer added 17 points, six steals and four rebounds. Jordyn Scott had 13 points, four assists and four blocked shots. Brooke Montgomery finished with five points. 

Philip stats were not reported.


Iroquois-Lake Preston 54, Sunshine Bible Academy 52

IROQUOIS — Hadlee Holt’s 27-point double-double helped Iroquois-Lake Preston clip Sunshine Bible Academy during Thursday’s high school girls basketball action.

Holt finished with 27 points and 14 rebounds, Bentlee Holt added 12 points, Kera Dubro collected six points, five rebounds, four assists and three steals, Ava Newman tallied five points and three steals, while Chenoa Harris recorded four points, three rebounds and four steals in the win.

SBA’s Ciera Mickelson tallied 17 points and seven rebounds, Abby Hinmann had 13 points, nine assists and eight rebounds and six steals, while Breanna Thieman netted 12 points, nine steals and four rebounds in the loss.


Hamlin 63, Deuel 22

CLEAR LAKE — Three players scored in double figures to power Class A No. 5 Hamlin for a girls basketball win on Thursday.

Hamlin’s Addie Steffensen finished with 18 points and four 3-pointers. Jo Steffensen added 16 points, while Addie Neuendorf scored 10 points. Issie Steffensen scored nine points and Addie Jensen had five points.

For Deuel, Camdyn Peterreins scored five points. 


Deubrook Area 63, Castlewood 43

WHITE — Three players scored in double figures to pace Deubrook Area to a girls basketball win on Thursday.

Deubrook Area’s Mataya Gouws finished with 25 points and eight rebounds. Matte Bauman added 14 points, while Kylee Johnson scored 13 points and grabbed nine boards. Neely Gustad had six points.

For Castlewood, Kendra Nielsen finished with 12 points. Claire Horn added nine points and Cassidy Kirwan had eight points and four assists. 


Waubay-Summit 48, Britton-Hecla 33 

SUMMIT — Faith Larson powered Waubay-Summit to a girls basketball win on Thursday.

Larson finished with 21 points, while Aubrey Strang had nine points. Kayce Berger scored six points.

For Britton-Hecla, Heather Storbakken totaled 15 points and Chellon Pruitt scored seven points. Maddie Micko had six points.


Great Plains Lutheran 48, Northwestern 43

WATERTOWN — A balanced scoring attack helped Great Plains Lutheran hold off Northwestern in girls basketball action Thursday. 

Myra Lentz powered Great Plains Lutheran with 16 points, five rebounds and three assists. Esta Cameron added 10 points and six rebounds. Jolie Lien had eight points and Katherine Prahl chipped in with six points. 

Ashley Haven led Northwestern with 12 points and 10 rebounds. Adriana Ratigan finished with 10 points and 12 rebounds.
