Corsica-Stickney 60, Jones County 40 

MITCHELL — Braylee Bordewyk powered Corsica-Stickney to a girls basketball win at Friday’s DWU/Culver’s Classic.

Bordewyk finished with 22 points, 14 rebounds, five assists and five steals. Sophie DeLange added 18 points, five rebounds, five 3-pointers and three assists. Hadynn Johnson totaled seven points and six rebounds. Remi Nelson recorded six points and three rebounds. 

For Jones County, BreAna Aske tallied 16 points and seven rebounds. Mallory Venard added seven points and four rebounds, while Sunny Valburg had seven points and three rebounds. Jacey Jensen had five points and six rebounds. 


Hamlin 61, Dell Rapids St. Mary 50

MITCHELL — Four players scored in double figures to power Class A No. 5 Hamlin to a girls basketball win at Friday’s DWU/Culver’s Classic.

Hamlin’s Addie Steffensen, Addison Neuendorf and Issie Steffensen scored 15 points apiece. Neuendorf added seven rebounds, four assists and three 3-pointers. Issie Steffensen knocked down four 3-pointers. Jo Steffensen added 12 points, six rebounds, three assists and three steals. Addelyn Jensen recorded four points and eight rebounds. 

For Dell Rapids St. Mary, Madala Hanson finished with 18 points and four rebounds. Addison Libis added 11 points, three rebounds and three steals. Jenna Miller had nine points, three rebounds and three steals. Maddyn LeBrun totaled eight points and six rebounds.


De Smet 91, Oldham-Ramona/Rutland 60

DE SMET — Hazel Luethmers scored 43 points in De Smet’s win over Oldham-Ramona/Rutland Friday.

Luethmers finished with 43 points, eight rebounds, six steals and five assists, Brooke Jennings recorded 17 points, nine rebounds and three assists, Mirra Beck had 13 points and four rebounds, while Alyssa Asleson added six points in the win.

ORR’s Bailey Hyland tallied a team-high 24 points and 11 rebounds while Brookelyn Riedel had 13 points and five rebounds in the loss.


St. Thomas More 40, Clark/Willow Lake 35

MITCHELL — Three players scored in double figures as St. Thomas More clipped Clark/Willow Lake in girls basketball action at Friday’s DWU/Culver’s Classic.

STM’s Rachael Hyde finished with 14 points, while Sloane Keszler added 12 points and four assists. Leighton Scherr had 10 points, four steals, three rebounds and three assists. 

For CWL, Tehya Vig finished with 14 points, six rebounds, four assists and three steals. Kamryn Nesheim recorded nine points on three 3-pointers. Brynn Roehrich added eight points and six rebounds. 


Freeman 67, Philip 63

MITCHELL — Behind Cadence Hofer’s 35-point performance, Freeman rallied from a 15-point deficit for a girls basketball win at Friday’s DWU/Culver’s Classic.

Hofer posted 35 points, nine rebounds and six 3-pointers. Rylee Peters added 17 points, seven rebounds and six assists. Lindsey Maske totaled eight points and five rebounds. Peyton McCune recorded seven points and eight rebounds. 

For Philip, Drew Terkildsen had 18 points, four 3-pointers, three assists and three steals. Mattisen Reckling had 12 points and seven rebounds. Josie Jones tallied 11 points, while Fayth Martin had 10 points and seven rebounds. Kale Peterson logged seven points and six rebounds. 


Viborg-Hurley 40, McCook Central/Montrose 35

MITCHELL — Jenna Graves and Kendra Gilbert combined for 28 points to pace Viborg-Hurley to a girls basketball win at Friday’s DWU/Culver’s Classic.

Graves finished with 16 points and four rebounds. Gilbert added 12 points and five rebounds. Charley Nelson totaled six points, six rebounds and four rebounds. Aubree Schwartz had four points and six rebounds. Tatum Lyons grabbed five boards.

For MCM, Mya Morrison scored 10 points and grabbed six rebounds. Mandi Schock totaled seven points and four rebounds. Ella DeKnikker and Cami McGuire had five points apiece. Natalie Lueth added three points and seven rebounds. 


Howard 51, Potter County 45

MITCHELL — Tana Hoyer and Dakota Spader combined for 34 points to power Howard to a girls basketball at Friday’s DWU/Culver’s Classic. 

Hoyer finished with 22 points and four 3-pointers. Spader added 12 points and three rebounds. Ann Connor posted nine points and 13 rebounds. Reese Rudebusch totaled six points, four assists, three rebounds and three steals. 

For Potter County, Peyton Stevens finished with 16 points, six rebounds and three 3-pointers. Emma Schlachter recorded 14 points and nine rebounds. Finlee Heien added eight points, four assists and three rebounds. Taylyn Rausch had three points and five boards. 


Colman-Egan 61, Deubrook Area 56

WHITE — Kaylee Voelker and Brynlee Landis combined for 40 points during Colman-Egan’s win over Deubrook Area Friday.

Voekler finished with a game-high 23 points, Landis added 17 points, Jolie Flatten had 10 points while Presley Luze recorded nine points in the win.

Deubrook’s Mataya Gouws netted 21 points, Kylee Johnson tallied 12 points while Peyton Trooien recorded seven points in the loss.


Wall 67, Bridgewater Emery 49

MITCHELL — Faith Frink powered Wall to a girls basketball win at Friday’s DWU/Culver’s Classic.

Frink finished with 32 points and 14 rebounds. Allie Kjerstad added 12 points, while Emmy Moon recorded 10 points, 11 rebounds, three assists and three steals. Karmyn Kjerstad added six points and three rebounds.

For Bridgewater-Emery, Oakley Weber scored a team-high 22 points and hit three 3-pointers. Hayden Hofer added 12 points and five rebounds. Macie Weber tallied six points and four rebounds. Rylee Furgeson had four points and six boards. Kadyn Glanzer grabbed five rebounds.

 

Sioux Falls Christian 64, Lyman 45

MITCHELL — Four players scored in double figures during Sioux Falls Christian’s victory over Lyman at the DWU/Culver’s Classic.

Aubrie VanBeek, Katie Vander Leest and Maya Nelson each tallied 14 points in the win. Lezlei Setzer netted 11 points while Sydney Schapp added six points in the win.

Lyman’s Mak Scott tallied a double-double in the loss, recording 21 points and 10 rebounds. Brooke Palmer finished with nine points and six rebounds while Bree Smart netted eight points for the Raiders.


Ipswich 68, Sunshine Bible Academy 21

MILLER — Three players scored in double figures during Ipswich’s victory over Sunshine Bible Academy.

Brianna Geditz led the Tigers with 14 points, Marley Guthmiller and Anna Nierman each had 11 points, Gabby Wald totaled eight points, five steals and four assists, while Tristan Geditz added seven points, six rebounds and three steals in the win.

SBA’s Abby Hinman tallied eight points, four rebounds and three steals while Ciera Mickelson recorded four points in the loss.


Faulkton Area 56, Langford 27

LANGFORD — Carley Cotton netted 26 points in Faulkton Area’s victory over Langford Area Friday.

Cotton finished with 26 points, eight assists, seven rebounds and four steals, Anika Mueller tallied 19 points, seven rebounds and two steals, while Presleigh Martinmaas added five points, six rebounds and seven assists in the win.

LA’s Alexandra Darling led with nine points, Paytyn Marlow had seven points, while Lizzie Gustafson and Eliana Darling each had four points in the loss.


Sanborn Central-Woonsocket 60, Highmore-Harrold 36

WOONSOCKET — Class B No. 5 Sanborn Central-Woonsocket downed Highmore-Harrold in Friday’s high school girls basketball action.

Addison Bartholow led the Blackhawks with 16 points, Liz Boschee collected 15 points and two steals, Kaylie Robinson added 10 points, 10 rebounds and seven assists while Kali Hofer tallied three steals in the win.

HH’s Jada Baloun had nine points and 13 rebounds, Elle Stagg recorded nine points, Addison McDonnell recorded eight points while Autumn Fallis dished out five assists in the loss.


Elk Point-Jefferson 70, Beresford 47

ELK POINT — Three players combined for 55 points in Elk Point-Jefferson’s Friday night victory over Beresford.

Ashley Brewer led with 20 points for the Huskies, Bentlee Kollbaum collected a double-double with 19 points, 10 rebounds and five steals, Kaitlyn VanRoekel had 16 points, nine rebounds and six assists while Cera Schmitz added nine points, six rebounds and three assists in the win.

Beresford’s Ella Merriman had 19 points, Lily Siever tallied 12 points and four boards while Harley Koth netted 11 points and eight rebounds for the Watchdogs.


Lennox 62, Hanson 29

ALEXANDRIA — A balanced scoring attack powered Lennox to a girls basketball victory Friday.

Ryan Hanssen led with 13 points and five rebounds, Karlie Bosma added 12 points, Andie Peters totaled nine points, Bergen Musser netted seven points and four rebounds while Libby Kranz collected five points and three rebounds in the win.

Hanson’s Kylie Haiar tallied a double-double despite the loss with 14 points and 10 rebounds, Kendra Endorf had six points while Cadence Jarding had five points in the loss.


Scotland-Menno 47, Gregory 41

SCOTLAND — Trinity Bietz’s 15 points helped Scotland-Menno clip Gregory Friday in high school girls basketball action.

Bietz finished with 15 points, while Nora Robb and Lexie McNinch each had eight points in the win.

Gregory’s Dani VanDerWerf tallied 18 points while Regan Graesser had 17 points in the loss.


Elkton-Lake Benton 53, Garretson 30

ELKTON — Charlie Thooft’s 28 points lifted Garretson past Elkton-Lake Benton during Friday’s high school girls basketball action.

Thooft finished with 28 points, Sydney DeVries tallied seven points and six steals, Andrea Renkly added five points while Maya Jensen and Payton Kuehl each netted four points in the win.

Garretson’s Tayler Bensen and Harper Andera each had nine points, combining for nine rebounds in the loss.


Harrisburg 51, Rapid City Central 32

RAPID CITY — Brynn VanBockern and Logan Durnil powered Harrisburg to a high school girls basketball victory Friday.

VanBockern led the Tigers with 13 points while Durnil had 12 points. Mya Johnson added six points and five rebounds, while Makinley Lawrenson and Autumn Bryant each had five points in the win.

RCC’s Leah Landry recorded 12 points and seven rebounds while Colee Kruse tallied 10 points in the loss.
