Viborg-Hurley 50, Howard 33 

HURLEY — Class B No. 1 Viborg-Hurley pulled away from Howard for a girls basketball win on Thursday.

Viborg-Hurley's Denae Mach recorded 21 points and 10 rebounds. Coral Mason added 14 points, 12 rebounds and five steals. Charley Nelson logged six points, while Aubree Schwartz posted five rebounds, four points and three assists. 

Howard's Kate Connor scored 24 points and Abby Aslesen netted six points. 

 

Centerville 64, Dell Rapids St. Mary 61

CENTERVILLE — Centerville clipped Dell Rapids St. Mary for a girls basketball win on Thursday.

Centerville’s Thea Gust recorded 29 points and hit eight 3-pointers. MaKayla Heesch added 12 points. Lillie Eide had seven points and five rebounds. Bailey Hansen added seven rebounds, while Mackenzie Meyer added five rebounds. 

Dell Rapids St. Mary’s Ella Griffin scored 15 points, while Madala Hanson scored 12 points. Whitney Warwick and Sydney Klein scored nine points apiece. Addison Libis and Brianna Griffin scored six and five points, respectively. 


Mount Vernon/Plankinton 54, Parkston 36 

PARKSTON — Emilee Fox and Reagan Rus combined to score 37 points to pace Mount Vernon/Plankinton to a girls basketball win on Thursday.

Fox finished with 20 points and eight rebounds. Rus added 17 points and three rebounds. Kyia Schmidt logged six points and four rebounds. 

Parkston’s Faith Oakley posted 11 points and three rebounds, while Mya Thuringer had nine points and three rebounds. Abby Hohn had five points and seven rebounds. 


Hanson 68, Chamberlain 31 

ALEXANDRIA — Five players scored in double figures to pace Hanson to a girls basketball win on Thursday.

Alyssa Moschell recorded 18 points and 10 rebounds. Eliza Oltmanns added 15 points and six rebounds. Annalyse Weber, Erin Dewald and Taziah Hawkins scored 11 points apiece. Karlie Goergen had five assists. 


Sully Buttes 39, Faulkton Area 31

FAULKTON — A balanced scoring attack helped Class B No. 3 Sully Buttes pick up a win over Faulkton Area in boys basketball action Thursday. 

Allyson Wittler led the Chargers offense with 13 points and six rebounds. Lydia Hill scored 10 points but grabbed 13 rebounds while Addison Chicione added nine points. 

Paislee Martinmaas led Faulkton Area with nine points while Ashley Senn chipped in with seven points and six rebounds. 


Potter County 44, Ipswich 34

GETTYSBURG — Ashlee Kaup scored 25 points to pace Potter County to a girls basketball win over Ipswich on Thursday. 

Kaup added nine rebounds and hit four 3-pointers. Olivia Mikkelsen added eight points and nine rebounds. Emma Schlachter and Peyton Stevens scored five points apiece. Schlachter added seven rebounds. 

Kaitlyn Bierman scored 13 points and grabbed seven rebounds for Faulkton Area. Gabby Wald added 10 points and four rebounds. Brianna Geditz scored five points. Kaylin Onken logged eight points, while Baylee Kulesa had five rebounds. 


Gregory 61, Burke 42

BURKE — Cassidy Keiser and Jessy Jo VanDerWerff combined to score 46 points to pace Gregory to a girls basketball win on Thursday.

Keiser tossed in 27 points and grabbed seven rebounds. VanDerWerff had 19 points. Mya Determan logged eight points and eight rebounds.

Burke’s Adisyn Indahl logged 12 points, while Kailee Frank scored 11 points. Paige Bull added six points and seven rebounds. Elly Witt posted five assists and three steals. 


Scotland 48, Gayville-Volin 31

SCOTLAND — Martina DeBoer and Trinity Bietz combined to score 30 points as Scotland picked up a girls basketball win over Gayville-Volin on Thursday. 

DeBoer led Scotland with 19 points, two rebounds and three assists. Bietz added 11 points, eight rebounds and two assists. Claire Janish chipped in with seven points and six rebounds. 

Maia Achen led Gayville-Volin with nine points, four rebounds and two assists. Jolie Westrum finished with six points and six rebounds. 


Deubrook Area 58, Elkton-Lake Benton 48

ELKTON — Three players scored in double figures as Deubrook Area earned a girls basketball win over Elkton-Lake Benton Thursday. 

Brooke Koppatschek powered the Deubrook Area offense with 19 points. Kadence Bowne added 13 points with Ellie Koenig scoring 12 points for the Dolphins. 

Rachael Krog led Elkton-Lake Benton with 17 points. Kylie Ramlo scored 16 points while Tevan Erickson scored 12 points for EPJ. 


Miller 50, Highmore-Harrold 22

HIGHMORE — Miller picked up a girls basketball win over Highmore-Harrold on Thursday.

Highmore-Harrold’s Brooke Palmer scored 13 points. Autumn Fallis and Addison McDonnell collected five rebounds apiece. 


Great Plains Lutheran 63, Waverly-South Shore 23

WATERTOWN — A balanced scoring attack helped Great Plains Lutheran earn a win over Waverly-South Shore in girls basketball action Thursday. 

Hallie Bauer paced the Great Plains Lutheran offense with 19 points. Abby Kjenstad racked up 12 points while Esta Cameron scored nine points. 

Carlee Mushitz led Waverly-South Shore with nine points. 


Herreid/Selby Area 64, Northwestern 47

MELLETTE — Four players scored in double figures as Herreid/Selby Area earned a girls basketball win over Northwestern on Thursday. 

Jordyn Rossow led HSA with 15 points and 12 rebounds. Jennica Berens added 13 points and six rebounds. Jada Rossow finished with 12 points and 10 rebounds while Stephanie Allbee had 10 points. 

Ashley Haven led Northwestern with nine points and 18 rebounds. Ella Haven scored seven points while grabbing 10 rebounds. 


Andes Central/Dakota Christian 51, Kimball/White Lake 48

KIMBALL — A balanced scoring attack helped Andes Central/Dakota Christian earn a win over Kimball/White Lake in girls basketball action Thursday. 

Josie Brouwer led ACDC with 15 points and 11 rebounds. Allison Muckey added nine points and 10 rebounds. 

Ryann Nielsen led Kimball/White Lake with 20 points and seven rebounds. Harley Namanny added 21 points while Dani Deffenbaugh added 11 rebounds. 


Sanborn Central/Woonsocket 57, Iroquois/Lake Preston 38

IROQUOIS — Three players scored in double figures as Sanborn Central/Woonsocket picked up a girls basketball win over Iroquois/Lake Preston on Thursday. 

Jaycee Baruth paced the Blackhawks offense by scoring 18 points. Liz Boschee pumped in 14 points while Kennadie Ochsner added 12 points. 

Ava Malone led the Sharks with 11 points while Hadlee Holt scored nine points and grabbed eight rebounds. 


Garretson 45, Sioux Valley 43

GARRETSON — A balanced scoring attack helped Garretson hold off Sioux Valley for a girls basketball win on Thursday. 

Jordyn Williams led Garretson with 12 points while Reagan Altman added 11 points. Kylie Christensen scored eight points and pulled down 12 rebounds. 

Landree Wilson led Sioux Valley with 14 points while Isabelle Bloker added 11 points. Keyra Kruse finished with 11 points and 11 rebounds. 


Brandon Valley 46, Harrisburg 42

HARRISBURG — Brandon Valley used a balanced scoring attack to knock off Class AA No. 4 Harrisburg in girls basketball action Thursday. 

Hilary Behrens paced the Lynx with 15 points. Kennedi Decker and Alyvia Padgett each scored 10 points for Brandon Valley. 

Harrisburg’s Kayleigh Hybertson finished with 11 points and 14 rebounds with Abby Flanagan adding 11 points for the Tigers. 


Watertown 56, Huron 48 

HURON — Jaida Young and Miranda Falconer combined to score 29 points to pace Watertown to a girls basketball win on Thursday.

Young had 17 points and four rebounds. Falconer added 12 points. Emery Thury logged eight points and four rebounds. Kendall Paulson scored eight points, while Grace Corey added seven points and six rebounds. 

Huron’s Heavan Gainey recorded 19 points and five rebounds. Isabelle Ellwein recorded 11 points and seven rebounds. Hamtyn Heinz added nine points, three assists and three 3-pointers. 


Rapid City Central 56, Rapid City Stevens 50

RAPID CITY — Teila Jiron and Leah Landry combined for 31 points as Rapid City Central earned a win over Rapid City Stevens in girls basketball action.

Jiron scored 17 points, grabbed three rebounds and had five steals to lead Central. Landry added 14 points and seven rebounds. 

Taaliyah Porter led Rapid City Stevens with 33 points and 11 rebounds.
