Rapid City Stevens 64, Rapid City Christian 49 

RAPID CITY — Taaliyah Porter and Finley Love powered Class AA No. 5 Rapid City Stevens to a girls basketball win on Friday.

Porter finished with 15 points, eight rebounds and three assists. Porter also broke Eric Piatkowski’s all-time scoring record at Rapid City Stevens. 

Love added 12 points, six steals and three 3-pointers. Jessa Griswold totaled nine points and four rebounds. Halle Peterson posted seven points and six rebounds. Haley Falcon scored six points, while MacKenzie Schreiber had five points.

For Rapid City Christian, Brynn Casey and Miley Johnson scored 12 points apiece. Lydia Williams had eight points and four rebounds. Sadie Marshall, Nora Kieffer and Alex Love scored five points apiece. Kieffer added six assists and four rebounds. 


Pierre 48, Mitchell 47

PIERRE — Pierre clipped Class AA No. 4 Mitchell for a girls basketball win on Friday.

Pierre’s Emery Larson scored a game-high 19 points and hit five 3-pointers. Lennix DuPris finished with 10 points. Gracelyn Taylor scored six points, while Molly Olson added five points.

For Mitchell, Lauren VanOverschelde totaled 13 points and Addie Siemsen scored 12 points. VanOverschelde and Siemsen hit three 3-pointers apiece. Londyn Hajek added 11 points and Carsyn Weich had five points. 


Winner 54, Mobridge-Pollock 43

WINNER — Winner pulled away from Mobridge-Pollock for a girls basketball win on Friday.

Winner’s Kylie Sachtjen and Adysen Pravecek scored 21 points apiece. Sachtjen added six rebounds and three assists. 

Mobridge-Pollock’s Blake Thompson scored 21 points. Tegan Konold and Charley Henderson finished with nine points and eight points, respectively. 


Northwestern 33, Waverly-South Shore 23

MELLETTE — Adriana Ratigan and Tara Blachford powered Northwestern for a girls basketball win on Friday.

Blachford posted 11 points, eight rebounds and four steals. Ratigan finished with 10 points and eight rebounds. Ashley Haven added six points, four blocked shots and 11 rebounds. Breelyn Satter posted six points and seven rebounds. 

For WSS, Dashaya Koch posted seven points and four rebounds. Jaina Johnson added seven points and three rebounds. Annie Stricherz tallied five points and seven rebounds. Brianna Gottschalk had six rebounds.


Clark-Willow Lake 54, Great Plains Lutheran 43

WILLOW LAKE — Brynn Roehrich tallied 18 points in Clark-Willow Lake’s win over Great Plains Lutheran in girls basketball action Friday.

Roerich finished with 18 points, Kamryn Nesheim had nine points, Johanna Vandersnick tallied seven points, while Tehya Vig and Shelby Begeman each netted six points in the win.

GPL’s Myra Lentz had a team-high 17 points, Madeline Prahl totaled 14 points while Katherine Prahl collected eight points in the loss.


Harding County 61, Edgemont 24

BUFFALO — Four players scored in double figures as Class B No. 3 Harding County defeated Edgemont in girls basketball action on Friday.

Harding County’s Raelee Hunsucker finished with 13 points. Kamry Padden, Bailey Verhulst and Kaylen Padden scored 10 points apiece. Kamry Padden added four rebounds and four steals. Verhulst had five steals and three assists. Kaylen Padden posted five rebounds and three steals. Macey Wendt and Brayden Padden scored eight points apiece. Wendt added five rebounds, four steals and three assists. Brayden Padden had seven rebounds. 

Edgemont stats were not reported.


Dakota Valley 66, Madison 24

MADISON — Aubree Worden netted 18 points as Class A No. 4 Dakota Valley defeated Madison during Friday’s high school girls basketball action.

Worden finished with 18 points, five rebounds and four steals, Ella Otten had 12 points, six rebounds and four assists, Emerson Mead tallied 12 points and five rebounds while Cameryn Sommervold totaled eight points and four rebounds in the win.

Madison’s Cambree Hunsley had seven points while Jaya Engels tallied six points and four assists in the loss.


Wagner 66, Platte-Geddes 27

PLATTE — Ashlyn Koupal’s 28-point double-double lifted Wagner to a girls basketball victory Friday.

Koupal netted 28 points, 15 rebounds and five assists for the Red Raiders, Lydia Yost tallied 19 points, six rebounds, five steals, three assists and two blocks, Braxton Nedved recorded eight points, five assists and three rebounds, while Hayden Knudsen added six points in the win.

PG’s Taylor Schrank recorded eight points and eight rebounds while Zana Zephier had seven points and three rebounds in the loss.


North Central 49, Sunshine Bible Academy 25

BOWDLE — Ella Batie and Amree VanderVorst powered North Central to a girls basketball win on Friday.

VanderVorst finished with 21 points and Batie added 13 points. Alaina Dosch scored eight points and Ashton Heyne added five points.

For SBA, Brennan Thieman scored nine points. Abby Hinman and Ciera Mickelson scored six points apiece. 


Aberdeen Central 57, Brookings 26

ABERDEEN — Three players scored in double figures in Aberdeen Central’s win over Brookings Friday.

Lauryn Burckhard led the Golden Eagles with 15 points, nine rebounds and four assists, Ava Yeske tallied 12 points, Emma Dohrer totaled 11 points and six rebounds, Taryn Hermanses netted eight points and nine boards while Kenadi Withers had seven points and five assists in the win.

Brookings’ Macy Even recorded eight points while Tess Burns had five points and four rebounds for the Bobcats.


Sioux Falls Washington 67, Sioux Falls Roosevelt 47

SIOUX FALLS — Jamie Parish got his 300th career victory as Class AA No. 3 Sioux Falls Washington takes down Sioux Falls Roosevelt Friday.

Rylan Kennett led the Warriors with 16 points in the win. Dana Harpe added 12 points and four assists, Claire Woods totaled 10 points and four rebounds, while Grace Peterson tallied nine points and six rebounds as well.

Roosevelt’s Henlee Loof totaled 12 points, Brooklyn Koll netted 11 points and eight boards, while Kalli Harris had 10 points, five rebounds and four assists in the loss.
