Mitchell 53, Pierre 44

MITCHELL — Class AA No. 2 Mitchell outscored Pierre 19-11 in the fourth quarter to pick up a boys basketball win on Friday.

Mitchell’s Gavin Hinker finished with 15 points and eight rebounds. Colton Smith added 14 points, eight rebounds, five blocked shots, four 3-pointers and four assists. Markus Talley totaled 12 points and three rebounds. Sutton Thompson recorded five points.

For Pierre, Dawson Getz had 13 points, six rebounds and three 3-pointers. Eladio Simental scored 10 points. Luke Olson added eight points and five rebounds. Lincoln Dilges scored six points, while Sawyer Sonnenschein had five points.


Dakota Valley 63, Madison 61

MADISON — Luke Bruns’ game-winning layup lifted Dakota Valley over Madison in boys basketball action Friday.

Collette led DV with 22 points, Bruns had 18 points, five rebounds and three assists, Drew Lukken totaled 12 points and six rebounds while Tyler Cornelsen added nine points and five boards in the win.

Madison’s Ben Brooks totaled 24 points, four rebounds and three assists, Shane Veenhof had 13 points, Myles Schneider tallied 11 points, seven rebounds and two assists, while Casyn Crabtree tallied 11 points in the loss.


Winner 54, Mobridge-Pollock 51

WINNER — Carter Craven scored 20 points during Winner’s victory over Mobridge-Pollock in boys basketball action Friday.

Shawn Hammerbeck added 12 points and scored his 1,000th career point, while Aiden Schroeder netted 11 points in the win. Zac Olson had five points. 

MP’s Easton Eisemann had a game-high 28 points while Jackson Eisemann recorded 13 points in the loss. Shane Henderson added six points. 


Castlewood 64, Estelline/Hendricks 55

CASTLEWOOD — Class B No. 2 Castlewood held off Estelline/Hendricks for a boys basketball win on Friday.

Castlewood’s Brody Bass finished with 22 points. Bryon Laue totaled 20 points and 14 rebounds. Jamison Keszler had 18 points.

For Estelline/Hendricks, Wyat James finished with 19 points and eight rebounds. Cade Hexem totaled 13 points, while Kyler Carlson scored nine points. Matt McAninch added six points and eight rebounds. 


Rapid City Christian 58, Rapid City Stevens 55

RAPID CITY — Class A No. 3 Rapid City Christian clipped Rapid City Stevens for a boys basketball win on Friday.

Rapid City Christian’s Simon Kieffer and Benson Kieffer scored 21 points apiece. Simon Kieffer had eight points and four 3-pointers. Benson Kieffer added seven rebounds and four 3-pointers. Aiden Roberts and Julius Frog scored six points apiece. Wes Schlabach had six rebounds.

For Stevens, Minkah Hawley finished with 16 points and five steals. Dayler Segrist added 15 points, four rebounds and three 3-pointers. Dylan Szymonski posted 11 points, while JD Green and Kaelem Brooks scored six points apiece. 


Bridgewater-Emery 53, Irene-Wakonda 51 (OT)

EMERY — Ben Weber and Holden Wollmann powered Bridgewater-Emery to an overtime boys basketball win on Friday.

Weber finished with 18 points and three steals, while Wollmann added 12 points and 14 rebounds. 

For IW, Brody Johnke finished with 18 points. Jens Hansen scored 12 points and Cain Healy grabbed 12 rebounds.


Leola/Frederick Area 73, Herreid/Selby Area 40

SELBY — Three players scored in double figures to power Class B No. 5 Leola/Frederick Area to a boys basketball win on Friday.

Leola/Frederick Area’s Noah Kippley finished with a game-high 27 points. Gavin Nickelson had 12 points and Jace Thorpe added 11 points. Lucas Gulbranson scored six points, while Zander Hoffman and Brayden Heuer scored five points apiece.

For Herreid/Selby Area, Jared Weisbeck and Adonnais Mills scored 10 points apiece. Xavier Ritter had nine points. 


De Smet 62, Oldham-Ramona/Rutland 29

DE SMET — Three players scored in double figures to pace De Smet to a boys basketball win on Friday.

De Smet’s Slayten Wilkinson finished with 21 points and four rebounds. Ganon Henrich added 11 points, four rebounds and three 3-pointers. Grant Wilkinson had 10 points and nine rebounds. Tanner Tolzin had four points, five assists and nine rebounds. Noah Luethmers had seven points and three rebounds. Anthony Escobar scored five points.

For ORR, Boyd Pooler recorded 13 points, four rebounds and three 3-pointers. Lucas Wall grabbed six rebounds. 


Dell Rapids St. Mary 67, Baltic 52

DELL RAPIDS — Three players scored in double figures to pace Class B No. 2 Dell Rapids St. Mary to a boys basketball victory on Friday.

Trevon Beckman led the Cardinals with 23 points. Maverick LeBrun added 14 points and Trimmier Hanson scored 11 points. Lincoln LeBrun had nine points.

For Baltic, Dylan Runestad scored 18 points.


Colman-Egan 77, Canistota 52

CANISTOTA — Jase Mousel tallied 25 points in Colman-Egan’s win over Canistota Friday.

Mousel finished with 25 points, six rebounds and four steals, Jackson Zwart added 14 points, 10 rebounds, four assists and three blocks, Jack Mousel netted a double-double with 11 points, 10 rebounds and three assists, Julian Allen had 12 points, while Caden Zwart collected 11 points for the Hawks.

Canistota’s Brady Scott led with 23 points and five rebounds, Jaden Kleinsasser had 13 points and seven rebounds while Blaise Showers totaled seven points, six rebounds and four assists in the loss.


Flandreau 57, Elkton-Lake Benton 38

ELKTON — Four players netted double figures during Flandreau’s win over Elkton-Lake Benton Friday.

Micah Otto tallied 16 points, Paul Parsley had 11 points while Xavier Bien and Alfie Henderson each had 10 points in the win.

ELB’s Joseph Nibbe led all Elks with 12 points while Tanner Stein and Eliot Erickson each had seven points in the loss.


Vermillion 52, Ponca (Neb.) 42

PONCA — Trey Hansen netted 34 points in Vermillion’s win over Ponca in boys basketball action Friday.

Hansen finished with 34 points and five rebounds, Gabe Larsen tallied eight points while Carter Hansen recorded six points and nine rebounds in the win.


Howard 70, Arlington 39

HOWARD — Carson Hinker and Luke Koepsell powered Howard to a boys basketball win on Friday.

Hinker finished with a game-high 24 points and Koepsell added 23 points. Kolt Becker had nine points and Austin Severson added five points.

Arlington’s Brecken Vossler had 13 points, while Leilan Farstad scored 11 points and hit three 3-pointers. Miles Antonen scored 10 points. 


Ipswich 69, Langford Area 41

IPSWICH — Three players scored in double figures to power Ipswich to a boys basketball win on Friday.

Ipswich’s Tucker Kadlec finished with 15 points and seven rebounds. Max Kulesa added 11 points, six rebounds and five assists. Jaxon Holt had 11 points, four rebounds and three 3-pointers. Kyle Hettich had nine points and four rebounds. Shay Knust scored nine points.

For Langford Area, Kassen Keough finished with a game-high 24 points, to go along with five rebounds and four 3-pointers. Jacob Samson had 10 points.


Sunshine Bible Academy 47, North Central 44

BOWDLE — Trey Thieman powered Sunshine Bible Academy to a boys basketball win on Friday.

Thieman finished with 21 points, while Jerome Big Eagle and Isaac Hauge had eight points apiece. Owen Watson scored five points. 

For North Central, Isaiah Heilman scored 14 points and Donovan Nelson added eight points. Cole Beitelspacher, Zane Haar and Jade Jacobs scored five points apiece.


West Central 72, Chamberlain 34

HARTFORD — Connor Mebius and Will Kuhl combined for 31 points in Class A No. 4 West Central’s win over Chamberlain Friday.

Mebius finished with 17 points, four steals and three assists, Kuhl netted 14 points, five assists and four rebounds, Kolte Garry tallied eight points while Luke Knight recorded four rebounds and four assists in the win.

Chamberlain’s Grady Olson led all scorers with 12 points in the loss.


Milbank 68, Webster Area 40

MILBANK — Three players scored in double figures to power Milbank to a boys basketball win on Friday.

Milbank’s Sam Rick finished with 20 points, five 3-pointers and four rebounds. Emmett Hanson added 14 points and 11 rebounds. Graham Lightfield logged 11 points, four rebounds and four assists. Esteban Abrego totaled eight points and five rebounds. Jack Howard had six points and five rebounds.

For Webster Area, Ian Lesnar recorded 19 points, eight rebounds and four 3-pointers. Seth Lesnar had eight points and three rebounds. Gage Wik scored five points. 


Redfield 74, Tiospa Zina 66

REDFIELD — Three players scored in double figures to power Redfield to a boys basketball win on Friday.

Redfield’s Ruben Alvarez recorded 26 points, while Grady Hulscher added 19 points. Austin Snell recorded 13 points and Ethan Falk had nine points. 

For TZ, Ashden Sierra recorded 27 points and five 3-pointers. Devon Bluehorse scored 11 points, while Isaac Rodlund and Blake Dumare had 10 points apiece.
