Sioux Falls Washington 64, Mitchell 49

SIOUX FALLS — Four players scored in double figures as Class AA No. 3 Sioux Falls defeated Class AA No. 4 Mitchell for a girls basketball win on Tuesday.

Washington’s Josie Biteler recorded 17 points, six assists, five steals, three rebounds and three 3-pointers. Grace Peterson posted 15 points, eight rebounds and four assists. Dana Harpe had 15 points, eight rebounds and seven assists. Claire Woods recorded 11 points and five assists.

For Mitchell, Carsyn Weich finished with 13 points, four assists, three rebounds and three 3-pointers. Lauren VanOverschelde added 11 points, four assists and three 3-pointers. Londyn Hajek had nine points, while Addie Siemsen added eight points and five rebounds. CeCe Morgan scored six points. 


Centerville 57, Dell Rapids St. Mary 52

CENTERVILLE — Class B No. 1 Centerville clipped Dell Rapids St. Mary for a girls basketball win on Tuesday. It was Centerville’s 32nd straight victory.

Centerville’s Izzie Eide recorded 18 points, eight rebounds and three assists. Althea Gust added 12 points and four assists. Emma Marshall recorded 11 points and 14 rebounds. Keira Austin had eight points and Tessa Eide posted eight rebounds.

For DRSM, Brianna Griffin finished with 16 points and Jenna Miller scored 13 points. Madala Hanson had 11 points. 


Winner 58, Platte-Geddes 37

WINNER — Kylie Sachtjen and Olivia Swedlund powered Winner to a girls basketball win on Tuesday.

Sachtjen finished with 17 points and 12 steals. Swedlund added 12 points, six rebounds and three steals. Addy Pravecek had nine points and three assists. 

For PG, Kori VanDerWerff recorded 15 points, eight rebounds and four blocks. Kolbi Hoffman had six points and three rebounds.


Highmore-Harrold 63, Ipswich 58

IPSWICH — Jada Baloun’s 30-point double-double powered Highmore-Harrold to a girls basketball victory Tuesday.

Baloun finished with 30 points and 10 rebounds, Addison McDonnell also tallied a double-double with 12 points and 10 rebounds, Autumn Fallis had 11 points and six rebounds while Elle Stagg tallied six points in the win.

Ipswich’s Gabby Wald led the Tigers with 24 points, Bri Geditz netted eight points while Marley Guthmiller and Jalyssa Hutson each had six points in the loss.


Wagner 72, Gregory 25
WAGNER — Three players scored in double figures as Wagner knocked off Gregory in girls basketball action Tuesday.

Ashlyn Koupal stuffed the stat sheet with 23 points, 10 rebounds, 10 assists and six blocked shots. Lydia Yost finished with 16 points and seven assists and Braxton Nedved chipped in with 11 points, three rebounds and five assists. 

Dani VanDerWerff led Gregory with 16 points.

 

Pierre 72, Brookings 59

BROOKINGS --- Lennix DuPris powered Pierre to a girls basketball win on Tuesday.

DuPris poured in a game-high 31 points, to go along with six 3-pointers and six steals. Emery Larson added 22 points for Pierre, which hit 11 3-pointers. Molly Olson had nine points. 

Brookings stats were not reported. 


Miller 51, Faulkton Area 32

FAULKTON — Three players scored in double figures to pace Miller to a girls basketball win on Tuesday.

Miller’s Morgan Kolda recorded 19 points, six rebounds and three steals. Paige Werdel added 13 points, seven steals, six rebounds and three assists. Aleah Schlechter had 11 points, four steals and three rebounds. 

For Faulkton Area, Anika Mueller recorded 11 points and 10 rebounds. Carley Cotton added seven points and six rebounds. Anna Aesoph posted five points. Presleigh Martinmaas had four points and five assists. 


Sioux Valley 70, Castlewood 51

VOLGA — Four players scored in double figures as Sioux Valley clipped Castlewood in girls basketball action Thursday.

Amari Ward powered the Cossacks with 15 points while Liberty Trygstad scored 14 points. Kalley Cradduck added 13 points and Talya Vincent chipped in with 12 points. 

Cassidy Kirwan led Castlewood with 16 points and Sophia Kudrna added 14 points. 


Viborg-Hurley 51, Scotland/Menno 43

HURLEY — Charley Nelson and Kendra Gilbert powered Viborg-Hurley to a girls basketball win on Tuesday.

Nelson finished with 21 points, eight steals, six rebounds and three assists. Gilbert added 16 points, eight rebounds and three steals. Aubree Schwartz had seven points, four rebounds and three steals. 

For Scotland/Menno, Ellyana Ulmer recorded 11 points and Trinity Bietz scored nine points. Emily Dvorak and Lexie McNinch scored eight points apiece. 


Northwestern 39, Redfield 29

MELLETTE — Adriana Ratigan and Ashley Haven paced Northwestern to a girls basketball win on Tuesday.

Ratigan finished with 13 points and four rebounds. Haven added 10 points and nine rebounds. Breelyn Satter and Tara Blachford scored eight points apiece. Blachford added seven assists and eight rebounds. 

For Redfield, Hayden Gall recorded 10 points and three rebounds. Charli Jungwirth added five points and five rebounds. Addison Evans scored six points. 


Chester 71, Arlington 48

CHESTER — A big night from Jacy Wolf helped Chester run past Arlington for a girls basketball win on Thursday. 

Wolf powered Chester with 33 points, four assists and three steals. Wolf also scored her 1,000th career point. Kaitlyn Hilbelink added 10 points and seven rebounds while Emmerson Eppard chipped in with 10 points, eight rebounds and three steals.

Jaelyn Huntimer led Arlington with 17 points. 


Hamlin 79, Britton-Hecla 23

BRITTON — Four players scored in double figures to pace Class A No. 5 Hamlin to a girls basketball win on Tuesday.

Hamlin’s Addie Steffensen scored a game-high 21 points, while Issie Steffensen finished with 18 points and three 3-pointers. Addie Neuendorf added 16 points and four 3-pointers. Kayde Nebel scored 10 points.

For Britton-Hecla, Karli Zuehlke, Daynika Zuehlke, Maddie Micko and Chellon Pruitt scored four points apiece. 


Milbank 60, Madison 20

MILBANK — Three players scored in double figures to power Milbank to a girls basketball win on Tuesday.

Milbank’s Tyra Berry finished with 23 points, nine rebounds, six steals and four 3-pointers. Isabella Anderson added 16 points and four assists. Claire Snaza had 10 points and four rebounds. Belle Pauli posted five points and seven rebounds. 

For Madison, Jaya Engels recorded eight points and five rebounds. 


Aberdeen Central 44, Watertown 33

WATERTOWN — Lauryn Burckhard powered Aberdeen Central to a girls basketball win on Tuesday.

Burckhard finished with 22 points, eight rebounds, three blocked shots and three 3-pointers. Kenadi Withers recorded nine points and five rebounds. Ava Yeske added six points and four rebounds. Taryn Hermansen added five points, while Emma Dohrer posted five assists and five rebounds.

For Watertown, Grace Corey had eight points and seven rebounds. Jordan Remmers had six points, while Emery Thury tallied five points, four rebounds, three steals and three assists. Lily Mack had six points. 


Sioux Falls O’Gorman 57, Harrisburg 24

HARRISBURG — Three players scored in double figures to power Class AA No. 1 Sioux Falls O’Gorman to a girls basketball win on Tuesday.

O’Gorman’s Ruby Moore recorded 20 points and Kyra Hermanson added 13 points. Sydney Terveen had 11 points.

For Harrisburg, Kinley Lawrenson had eight points. Brynn VanBockern added seven points and 10 rebounds.
