Wagner 59, Hanson 34

WAGNER — Braxton Nedved and Lydia Yost combined for 33 points as Wagner defeated Hanson Tuesday.

Nedved led the charge with 18 points on six three-pointers, Yost tallied 15 points, five rebounds, four steals and three assists, Ashlyn Koupal tallied 10 points, seven assists, six rebounds, three steals and two blocks, while Hayden Knudsen recorded eight points and seven rebounds in the win.

Hanson’s Cadence Jarding led with 10 points, four rebounds and three assists while Ava Doyle added nine points and four rebounds in the loss.


Mahpiya Luta 71, Rapid City Christian 42

RAPID CITY — Three players scored in double figures to pace Class A No. 2 Mahpiya Luta to a girls basketball win on Tuesday.

Mahpiya Luta’s Jodene Big Crow-Hunter scored 24 points and Ashlan Carlow-Blount finished with 21 points, 10 rebounds, five steals and four assists. Essence Tobacco had 12 points, while Dottie Mesteth and Abigail Haas had six points apiece.

For Rapid City Christian, Sadie Marshall had 14 points and Brynn Casey had seven points. Abby Thomson and Nora Kieffer scored five points apiece.


Sanborn Central/Woonsocket 45, Ethan 27

FORESTBURG — Liz Boschee powered Sanborn Central/Woonsocket to a win over Class B No. 3 Ethan on Tuesday.

Boschee finished with 26 points, 10 rebounds and three assists. Kaylie Robinson tallied five points and 11 rebounds. Addi Barthalow added five points and five rebounds. 

For Ethan, Ella Pollreisz scored seven points and Taziah Hawkins added six points. Rachel Klock grabbed seven rebounds.


Centerville 71, Alcester-Hudson 38

CENTERVILLE — Big nights from Emma Marshall and Althea Gust helped Class B No. 1 Centerville run past Alcester-Hudson in girls basketball action Tuesday. 

Marshall had 26 points, 13 rebounds, three assists and four steals while Gust finished with 14 points and three steals. 

Emily Winquist led Alcester-Hudson with 20 points while Emma Solberg added seven points. 


Corsica-Stickney 70, Burke 51

BURKE — Braylee Bordewyk’s 28-point double-double lifted Corsica-Stickney past Burke Tuesday in high school girls basketball action.

Bordewyk finished with 28 points, 11 rebounds, nine assists and two steals, Sophie Delange collected 17 points, Remi Nelson had 11 points while Sydney Spaans added 10 points in the win.

Burke’s Paige Bull had 18 points, Emmie Hausmann recorded 14 points and three rebounds, Annie Connot collected eight points while Kailee Frank tallied six assists and four steals in the loss.


Harding County 47, Lemmon 35

BUFFALO — Bailey Verhulst and Kaylen Padden paced Class B No. 5 Harding County to a girls basketball win on Tuesday.

Verhulst finished with 16 points, six steals, three rebounds and three assists. Padden added 12 points, eight rebounds and five steals. Kamry Padden had nine points, five rebounds and three steals. Brayden Padden finished with nine points and seven rebounds.

For Lemmon, Izzie O’Donnell poured in a game-high 27 points and grabbed 14 rebounds. Julia Carmichael had nine points and eight boards.


Webster Area 48, Great Plains Lutheran 34

WATERTOWN — Erin Sannes and Harley Johnson combined for 29 points during Webster Area’s victory over Great Plains Lutheran.

Sannes finished with 15 points while Johnson tallied 13 points. Mallory Steiner and Bailee Ninke each had six points in the win.

GPL’s Katherine Prahl had 10 points while Myra Lentz collected seven points in the loss.


Vermillion 61, Beresford 34

BERESFORD — Vermillion pulled away from Beresford for a girls basketball win on Tuesday. 

Vermillion’s Taylor Reuvers scored 22 points.

Beresford’s Ella Merrman had 17 points.


Warner 49, Faulkton Area 40

WARNER — Stacia Carda’s double-double powered Warner to a high school girls basketball victory Tuesday.

Carda finished with 14 points and 10 rebounds for the Monarchs, Courtney Leidholt had 11 points and five rebounds, Kaydee Mackner tallied eight points, Jordyn Jensen recorded six points, eight rebounds, four steals and four assists, while MaKenna Leidholt added six points and six rebounds in the win.

FA’s Carley Cotton had 14 points, six rebounds and six steals, Anika Mueller tallied 12 points and three assists, while Brooklyn Mueller had seven points and nine rebounds in the loss.


Parkston 58, McCook Central/Montrose 39

PARKSTON — Three players scored in double figures as Class B No. 2 Parkston defeated McCook Central/Montrose on Tuesday.

Parkston’s Berkley Ziebart finished with 18 points, four rebounds and three 3-pointers. Keera Oakley added 14 points, 10 rebounds and three blocked shots. Morgan Maxwell recorded 12 points. Mya Thuringer had eight points and five assists. 

For MCM, Ella DeKnikker recorded 12 points, four rebounds and four steals. Cami McGuire and Mya Morrison scored seven points apiece. Ashtyn DeKnikker had six points. Mandi Schock tallied four points and four rebounds. 


Lakota Tech 81, St. Francis 52

PINE RIDGE — Shania Ferguson powered Lakota Tech to a girls basketball win on Tuesday.

Ferguson tallied 34 points, four 3-pointers and four steals. Ferguson has made 24 free throws in a row. Isabella Shangreaux had 15 points, eight rebounds, four assists and three steals. Ameila Shangreaux added 13 points, six rebounds, six assists and four steals. Lizzie Robinson added 10 points, seven assists, five rebounds, four steals and four blocked shots. Daisy Red Hawk had six points, seven rebounds, three assists and three steals. 

St. Francis stats were not reported.


Deubrook 52, Madison 16

WHITE — Kylee Johnson dropped 25 points in Deubrook Area’s win over Madison Tuesday.

Johnson had 25 points, Carly Engelstad tallied nine points while Mataya Gouws recorded four points in the win.

Madison’s Ella Malone had nine points in the loss.


Hamlin 62, Milbank 54

MILBANK — Three players scored in double figures to pace Class A No. 4 Hamlin to a girls basketball win on Tuesday.

Hamlin’s Addie Steffensen finished with 26 points, six rebounds and three 3-pointers. Addie Neuendorf and Jo Steffensen scored 11 points apiece. Issie Steffensen scored eight points.

For Milbank, Tyra Berry scored 18 points and had four 3-pointers. Sierra Wenzl and Isabella Anderson scored 12 points apiece. Anderson added seven rebounds and five assists. Belle Pauli posted nine rebounds and four points. 


North Central 49, Aberdeen Christian 33

ABERDEEN — Amree VanderVorst powered North Central to a girls basketball win on Tuesday.

VanderVorst tossed in a game-high 27 points, had five rebounds and three 3-pointers. Ella Batie added eight points and Alaina Dosch scored five points.

For Aberdeen Christian, Jolie Fogarty recorded 15 points. Arianna Johnson and Eri Cobbs scored six points apiece. 


Dakota Valley 73, Sioux Valley 65

NORTH SIOUX CITY — Three players scored in double figures to pace Class A No. 3 Dakota Valley to a girls basketball win on Tuesday.

DV’s Ella Otten recorded 21 points and four steals. Aubree Worden added 18 points and six steals. Cameryn Sommervold had 16 points and five steals. 

For Sioux Valley, Kailey Cradduck had a game-high 25 points, six rebounds and six assists. Talya Vincent added 21 points, while Liberty Trygstad had 15 points and six assists. 


Irene-Wakonda 49, Howard 35

IRENE — A balanced scoring attack helped Irene-Wakonda take down Howard Tuesday in high school girls basketball action.

Emily Oien and Maryn Lyngstad each tallied 13 points and five rebounds in the win, Ava Geogre had 10 points while Madison Orr collected six points and eight boards as well.

Howard’s Ann Conner collected 15 points while Dakota Spader added nine points in the loss.


Avon 39, Scotland-Menno 17

SCOTLAND — Avon clipped Scotland-Menno Tuesday in high school girls basketball action.

Rilyn Thury and Lila Vanderlei each tallied 10 points in the win, Lexi Vanderlei had eight points while Breanna Hento totaled four points for the Pirates.

SM’s Nora Robb tallied eight points, three rebounds and two steals while Trinity Bietz collected four points, seven boards and four steals as well.


Pierre 53, Harrisburg 40

HARRISBURG — Lennix DuPris and Gracelyn Taylor combined for 34 points to pace Pierre to a girls basketball win over Harrisburg on Tuesday.

DuPris scored 20 points and Taylor added 14 points. 

For Harrisburg, Kinley Lawrenson scored 12 points.  


Highmore-Harrold 48, Sunshine Bible Academy 17

MILLER — Jada Baloun’s double-double propelled Highmore-Harrold past Sunshine Bible Academy Tuesday in girls basketball action.

Baloun finished with 14 points, 14 rebounds, three steals and two assists, Emma Ferens had 10 points, while Elle Stagg and Tenley McDonnell each had five points in the win.

SBA’s Abby Hinman and Breanna Thieman each had six points in the loss.


Elk Point/Jefferson 45, Lennox 44

LENNOX — Class A No. 5 Elk Point/Jefferson clipped Lennox for a girls basketball win on Tuesday.

EPJ’s Ashley Brewer tallied 15 points and four rebounds. Kaitlyn VanRoekel had 11 points. 

For Lennox, Karlie Bosma had 18 points on six 3-pointers.
