Sioux Falls O’Gorman 49, Rapid City Stevens 40

SIOUX FALLS — Sioux Falls O’Gorman used a 19-7 fourth-quarter spurt to pull away from Rapid City Stevens for a boys basketball win on Friday.

O’Gorman’s Kamden Cisse finished with 12 points and Austin Terveen scored nine points. Nyun Dat, Jackson Bjorkman and John Lent had five points apiece.

For Stevens, Dayler Segrist finished with 17 points and Kaelem Brooks tallied 10 points.


Sully Buttes 74, Potter County 50

ONIDA — Wesley Wittler and Gavin Colson powered Sully Buttes to a boys basketball win on Friday.

Wittler finished with 30 points and 12 rebounds. Colson added 23 points and eight rebounds.

Potter County stats were not reported. 


Viborg-Hurley 68, Freeman Academy/Marion 38

VIBORG — Four players scored in double figures to pace Class B No. 1 Viborg-Hurley to a boys basketball win on Friday. 

Nick Hanson powered the Cougars with 25 points and 10 rebounds. Brady Schroedermeier added 14 points, seven assists and five rebounds. Owen Niederbaumer had 11 points and eight rebounds. Jake Austin had 11 points.

For FAM, Elshadai Mesfin scored 22 points. Karter Weber had nine points and three assists, while Lincoln Anderson grabbed 11 rebounds. 


Gayville-Volin 63, Bridgewater-Emery 58

GAYVILLE — Gayville-Volin clipped Bridgewater-Emery for a boys basketball win on Friday.

GV’s Spencer Karstens tallied 24 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists. Nate Selchert added 15 points and Wyatt Mehlhaf had 14 points.

Bridgewater-Emery’s Ben Weber poured in a game-high 33 points. Holden Wollmann added 14 points. 


Gregory 49, Parkston 28 

GREGORY — Gregory pulled away from Parkston for a boys basketball win on Friday.

Gregory’s Colt Keiser tallied 17 points and Jackson Bolander added 11 points. Cruz Klundt totaled eight points and six rebounds. Cole Serr grabbed 13 rebounds. 

Parkston’s Brycen Bruening finished with seven points and three steals. Mason Jervik had six points, while Elliott Leischner added five rebounds. 


Garretson 56, McCook Central-Montrose 54

MONTROSE — Carter Siemonsma poured in 25 points as Garretson clipped McCook Central-Montrose Friday in high school boys basketball action.

Siemonsma finished with 25 points and nine rebounds, Ian Buettner had 10 points and five rebounds while Treyton Decker tallied 10 points and seven rebounds in the win.

MCM’s Lane Deutsch led with 18 points, Jackson Schmidt and Mason Sabers each had 12 points while Zane McCormick brought down 11 rebounds in the loss.


Canistota 56, Sioux Falls Lutheran 54

CANISTOTA — Brady Scott’s 19-point game lifted Canistota over Sioux Falls Lutheran Friday.

Scott tallied 19 points and seven rebounds, Jaden Kleinsasser added 12 points, 11 rebounds, four assists and two steals, while Blaise Showers had six points in the win.

SFL’s Sam Borg tallied 21 points, five rebounds and five assists, Rowen Becker had 18 points, eight rebounds and five steals, while Brayden Wille had seven points and four rebounds in the loss.


Irene-Wakonda 66, Scotland-Menno 52

MENNO — Three players scored combined for 42 points in Irene-Wakonda’s victory over Scotland-Menno Friday.

Noah Hansen, Cain Healy and Brody Johnke each scored 14 points in the win.

SM’s Izayah Ulmer and Erick Buechler each had 11 points, Ashton Dennis tallied 10 points and two assists while Kory Keppen brought down nine rebounds in the loss.


Vermillion 75, Groton Area 65

VERMILLION — Vermillion pulled away from Groton Area for a boys basketball win on Friday.

Vermillion’s Trey Hansen finished with 34 points, 12 rebounds and five assists. Carter Hansen added 16 points and Landon Cerny had nine points.

For Groton Area, Ryder Johnson tallied 31 points and Gage Sippel added 11 points. Becker Bosma scored nine points.


Clark-Willow Lake 64, Sisseton 31

CLARK — Four players scored in double figures during Class A No. 5 Clark-Willow Lake’s victory over Sisseton Friday.

Sully Felberg led the Cyclones with 15 points, five rebounds and four assists, Chris Bevers had 12 points and seven rebounds, Bo Begeman and Emmerson Larson each had 10 points while Griffin Musser added eight points for CWL.

Sisseton’s Josh Donnell tallied eight points in the loss.


Milbank 48, Aberdeen Roncalli 38

MILBANK — Milbank held off Aberdeen Roncalli for a boys basketball win on Friday.

Milbank’s Sam Rick finished with 18 points and three 3-pointers. Bryan Meyer added nine points, while Graham Lightfield and Emmett Hanson had eight points apiece. Hanson grabbed 15 rebounds. 

For Roncalli, Sam Franks finished with 13 points. Jesse Hernandez had seven points, while Aiden Fisher recorded six points and six rebounds. Brady Weinmeister had five points and three steals. Parker Grieben added four points and six rebounds. Cam Olson totaled three points and five rebounds.


Mitchell 72, Sturgis 55

MITCHELL — Three players scored in double figures to power Class AA No. 3 Mitchell to a boys basketball win on Friday.

Markus Talley led the Kernels with 24 points, nine rebounds, three steals and three 3-pointers. Colton Smith added 20 points and 13 rebounds. Gavin Hinker totaled 15 points and 13 rebounds. 

For Sturgis, Ryan Heinert finished with 22 points, four rebounds and four 3-pointers. Hayden Rock finished with 10 points and three rebounds. Teigen Wormstadt, Dalyn Dschaak and Ty Petrocco scored five points apiece.
