Sioux Falls O’Gorman 66, Rapid City Stevens 45

SIOUX FALLS — Class AA No. 1 Sioux Falls O’Gorman improved to 14-0 after a girls basketball win over Class AA No. 5 Rapid City Stevens on Friday.

O’Gorman’s Julia Eggert scored 22 points and Sydney Terveen had 13 points. Ruby Moore tallied 12 points, while Sadie Mehrman scored seven points. Ellie Meyer had five points. 

For Stevens, Taaliyah Porter scored 18 points and broke Becky Hammon’s all-time girls basketball scoring record at Rapid City Stevens. Porter now has 1,432 career points. 

Jessa Griswold added nine points and Halle Peterson totaled seven points. Hayden Thorton scored five points. 


Wilmot 64, Ipswich 58

IPSWICH — Addison Heinje powered Wilmot to a girls basketball win on Friday.

Heinje totaled 40 points, 13 rebounds, eight steals, six assists and three 3-pointers. Jada Cameron added 13 points and three 3-pointers. 

For Ipswich, Gabby Wald finished with 29 points, seven steals, five 3-pointers and three 3-pointers. Marley Guthmiller recorded nine points, nine rebounds and three steals. Bri Geditz added seven points and three rebounds. Anna Nierman had six points and three rebounds. Tristan Geditz had seven rebounds and two points. Kaylin Onken had five rebounds and three points. 


Scotland-Menno 46, Irene-Wakonda 45

MENNO — Scotland-Menno clipped Irene-Wakonda in girls basketball action on Friday.

SM’s Trinity Bietz finished with 17 points and nine rebounds. Emily Dvorak added nine points and 11 rebounds. Ellyana Ulmer tallied nine points and five steals. Nora Robb and Kylie Guthmiller scored six points apiece.

For IW, Madison Orr totaled 14 points. Emily Oien scored 11 points and Julia Sees had 10 points. 


Faulkton Area 52, James Valley Christian 13 

HURON — Presleigh Martinmaas and Carley Cotton combined for 35 points to power Faulkton Area to a girls basketball win on Friday.

Martinmaas finished with 20 points, six rebounds and four steals. Cotton added 15 points, seven steals and five assists. Brooklyn Mueller had eight points and five rebounds. Anika Mueller recorded five points and seven rebounds. Claire Cotton had five rebounds and two points. 

For JVC, Autumn Stahl had three points and three rebounds. 

 

Sioux Valley 60, Flandreau 46

VOLGA --- Four players scored in double figures to pace Sioux Valley to a girls basketball win on Friday.

SV's Amari Ward finished with 18 points, four 3-pointers, four steals and three rebounds. Kailey Cradduck added 15 points, seven rebounds and four assists. Liberty Trygstad had 14 points, seven assists and four 3-pointers. Keyra Krause totaled 10 points, 17 rebounds, three assists and three steals. 

For Flandreau, Morgan Sheppard had 15 points and Sadie Iott had 14 points. Hannah Krull totaled six points and four rebounds. Addy Hammer added five points. 


Harrisburg 57, Aberdeen Central 44

ABERDEEN — Three players scored in double figures to pace Harrisburg to a girls basketball win on Friday.

Harrisburg’s Logan Durnil posted 23 points and hit six 3-pointers. Brynn VanBockern had 21 points and eight rebounds. Makinley Lawrenson added 13 points, three rebounds and three 3-pointers. 

For Aberdeen Central, Lauryn Burckhard finished with 21 points and seven rebounds. Taryn Hermansen tallied 13 points and six rebounds. Emma Dohrer had seven points, four assists and three rebounds. 


Sioux Falls Washington 63, Watertown 38

SIOUX FALLS — Three players scored in double figures during Class AA No. 3 Sioux Falls Washington’s victory over Watertown Friday.

Josie Biteler led the Warriors with 15 points and four steals, Dana Harpe tallied a double-double, finishing with 12 points, 10 rebounds, four assists and three steals, Claire Woods recorded 11 points, three rebounds and three assists, while Rylan Kennett added eight points in the win.

Watertown’s Jordan Remmers recorded eight points, Kynsee Russell had seven points and three rebounds, while Gabi Olson and Grace Corey each had six points in the loss.
