GARRETSON — Flandreau’s Faith Wiese and Madison’s Dylan Gerdes both won individual titles at Tuesday’s Jesse James Invitational run on the River Ridge Golf Course.

Wiese dominated the girls race Tuesday running a 19:19, well ahead of Arlington’s Kaelyn Ulschmid (20:35) and Dell Rapids eighth-grader Rorie Thoreson (20:58). Madison’s Jessie Tappe (21:29) and Baltic’s Hailey Tiahrt (21:39) rounded out the top-five finishers. 

Madison’s Dylah Gerdes (18:01) won the boys race, ahead of Deubrook Area’s Landen Johnson (18:25) and Baltic’s Alex Langer, (18:38). Baltic’s Kyle Gronewold (18:56) and Dell Rapids St. Mary eighth-grader Camden Tebay (19:06) rounded out the top-five. 

In the girls team competition Flandreau scored 37 points to edge Madison (47). Arlington (51) and Dell Rapids (78) rounded out the top-four teams.  

In the boys team competition Madison scored 22 points, ahead of Flandreau (30) and Baltic (41). Arlington (59) and McCook Central/Montrose (78) rounded out the top-five teams
