Gavin Colson, Brynn Roehrich win individual titles at Class B Classic

MITCHELL — Sully Buttes’ Gavin Colson and Clark/Willow Lake’s Brynn Roehrich — last season’s Class B state championship golfers — were in midseason form on Friday.

Colson fired a 71 at the Class B Classic at Lakeview Golf Course, securing individual medalist honors. Doland’s Kaiden Weinreis and Flandreau Indian’s Kaden Burshiem were both one shot back. Hanson’s Ben Wilber (74) and Will Jarding (75) finished fourth and fifth, respectively. 

Roehrich shot a 77 to earn individual medalist honors. Chester’s Jayden McDonald (86) and Philip’s Addy Miller (86) finished second and third, respectively. 

The Hanson boys won the team title with a 227, finishing ahead of Wall and Sully Buttes by six shots. 

The Philip girls won the team title with a 285, finishing ahead of Dell Rapids St. Mary (293) and Chester (305).
