GREGORY — Gregory’s Luke Barreto and Scotland’s Elle Hlavac claimed individual titles at Tuesday’s Gregory cross-country invitational. 

Barreto covered the 5,000-meter distance in 18 minutes and :14.78 seconds at the Gregory Golf Club. White River’s Elijah Haukaas (18:24.66) and Crow Creek’s Justin St. John (18:49.22) finished second and third, respectively. Scotland’s CJ Bjorum (19:31.94) and Winner’s Carter Peppel (19:46.91) rounded out the top-five boys runners.

In the girls race, Hlavac covered the 5,000-meter distance in 22:01.78, finishing ahead of Gregory’s Abigail Engel (23:26.34) and Stuart, Nebraska’s Annie Ludwig (23:46.94). Tripp-Delmont/Armour’s Jordan Chessmore (23:47.81) and Lyndsey Chessmore (24:14.15) rounded out the top-five girls runners.
