Hanson sweeps team titles at Erv Ptak Relays

MENNO — Hanson swept the team titles at Thursday’s Erv Ptak Relays.

The Hanson boys piled up 187 points, finishing ahead of Menno (153) and Viborg-Hurley (120.5). The Hanson girls racked up 172 points, ahead of Menno (127) and Irene-Wakonda (104).

In girls action, Hanson’s Taziah Hawkins won the 100-meter hurdles (:17.69), 300-meter hurdles (:51.72) and was a member of the winning 1,600-meter relay (4:28.13).  

Hanson’s Olivia Kayser won the discus (101-6) and placed second in the shot put (32-2.25). 

Hanson’s Jersey Kampshoff won the 1,600-meter run (6:38.27). Hanson’s Cadence Jarding won the pole vault (7-6). 

The Hanson girls also won the 400-meter relay (:56.67), 3,200-meter relay (11:18.19) and sprint medley relay (4:44.74). 

Menno’s Ashton Massey won the 400-meter dash (1:01.66), 800-meter run (2:28.95) and triple jump (36-4.5). 

Canistota’s Natalie Becker won the 100-meter dash (:13.85) and was a member of the winning 800-meter relay (1:56.66). 

Canistota’s Allison Leber won the long jump (15-1.25) and ran the anchor leg on the 800-meter relay. 

In boys action, Hanson’s Weston Kayser won the 100-meter dash (:11.46) and ran the anchor leg on the winning 400-meter relay (:46.84). Kayser was also on the winning 800-meter relay (1:38.33). 

The Hanson boys also won the 1,600-meter relay (3:43.93), 3,200-meter relay (8:56.37) and sprint medley relay (3:56.46). 

Hanson’s Brock Tuttle captured first-place finishes in the shot put (49-8) and discus (158-9).

Hanson’s Stetson Riggs won the 110-meter hurdles (:18.62) and placed second in the 300-meter hurdles (:46.21). Hanson’s Radek Jarding won the 800-meter run (2:14.94)

Menno’s Bryce Sattler captured first-place finishes in the long jump (20-2), 200-meter dash (:23.42) and 400-meter dash (:52.72).
